  1. Technically, a guest can go Green Lane with Medallions, regardless of the shoreside CC situation and 6/7. Put a card in, order Medallions, and then delete the card from shoreside. Some have been creative in entering old or fake cards or using a useless gift card, etc.
  2. Sure, but just remember that you have to be in proximity of the person who creates the hotspot in order to use it. That could be inconvenient for some (many?) folks. Also, as I understand it, some phones do not support hotspotting wireless access points versus cellular service,
  3. Hard to say from the information provided. I would suggest using the web version of the Ocean App and access DMW there for reservations. See if that works for you.
  4. Since you may be booking an Aussie voyage from GB, isn't your booking in GBP? If you know the current rates in GBP, or what Princess' current conversion rate for UK GBP is, you could apply that to USD prices and come very close with a round to nearest pound. Same concept for cruises sold in AUD. Sorry, I am not sure current exchange rate in effect by Princess - and it may not be close to the market rate. the CAD is set at 1.35 for long time now and USD/CAD has ranged lower and higher than that without a PCL change. PS - If you have a booked voyage, you are going to save $$ now by booking it regardless of the new cost.
  5. With the original pricing - yes. With the current pricing - no. With the new increases - yes.
  6. Appreciate the detail. Were they not communicating with the ship for this? I would be requesting a shade spot or forget it.
  7. As mentioned, PCL has been among the lowest cost options in the cruise line world. We always have internet for full voyage. I like to keep up on emails and other personal things. I am often checking in with tour providers, etc, or researching something for upcoming port(s). If I had to rely on using internet in port, I'd be missing out on seeing what we traveled to experience and would be quite unpopular with my wife.
  8. On another thread, the full set of prices was posted (off thread topic), so copying here with some editing. PCL has increased the single day pricing as well. Not surprising as they overlooked these in the last price increase and the single day cost was out of line with other pricing. Also - as stated earlier - the new scheme returns the 4-device package to cost less than 2X 1-device, so that should be the choice for couples who book Standard as you get double the device connections while saving money. One Device (full voyage) = $25/day (up from $15) Four Devices (full voyage) = $45/day (up from $40) One Device (single day) = $30 (up from $20 - which had not changed at all last time) Four Devices (single day) = $55 (up from $40 - which probably had not changed at all last time and I was not aware of this offering before)
  9. Just to add that most ports outside US do not involve the extra immigration step and just another day. Whatever the immigration situation is, it is the same for all B2B'ers - whether changing cabins or not. I would seek out and speak with the new cabin steward and give them heads up you are moving. Your new cabin will be prioritized. We have moved safe contents right away - no issue. We have moved our own stuff as well - no issue. We don't usually have a lot of stuff and are mostly packed up ready to go the night before as if we were departing the ship. Done a cabin move 2X IIRC, plus a mid-cruise move. It's pretty easy whichever way you go.
  10. Cruising with a friend? Send it to them if they are going to be home.
  11. Why not? More than one have been named and even You Tube links posted. This one seems to have the ring of truth to it even though it may be good old "reliable". That said, she is also a TA and would get the news release.
  12. If you don't get it at time of purchase, make the request on board from IT Mgr or Guest Services. You will be credited the amount to onboard account. It is Refundable OBC.
  13. But only 12.5% increase for 4 devices. Ha, ha.
  14. But now you should just book 1 4-device plan with the new pricing.
  15. Conclusions: 1. This means more marketing hype to purchase packages. 2. Another step leading to the next package cost increase.
  16. My new math is this: CA = $32/couple MNet = $22.50/couple Total Fixed Costs we care about = $54.50/couple/day. Balance for Bar Tab = $65.50/couple/day. (Difference between Plus cost and Fixed Costs). Still going Standard assuming I am doing BYOW.
  17. 66.67% even!! The good news is that it is once again cheaper to buy a 4-device plan than 2X 1-device plans. If we sail with best friends, the four of us will share a 4-device plan. I would do the same with wife and I.
  18. IDK about you but I wish PCL would drop the 99 cent nonsense.
  19. Yes, I do know all that. I could have structured my post better. It was kind of short-form in reply to the poster. Folks that have to go to GS either forgot their Medallions or ordered them and left home before receiving. IOW, Princess thinks guest has them in-hand, but not the case.
  20. You're expecting a TA to call in make dining reservations (DineMyWay)?
  21. Most couples report buying it once (if not on the package) and that one person does the Ocean Now (not Ready - that's the pre-cruise enrollment) ordering. You can beat the RS $5 charge by not ordering via cabin phone - use the App with delivery to the cabin.
  22. Please understand by "make" I mean engrave with guest name, ship, date and use the appropriate loyalty level color.
