  1. Every provider I have engaged with has had a no-charge policy if the ship misses the port call. We had a port change once as I recall - due to weather - and it was no issue to cancel and then get something new organized for the new port.
  2. If there was a tour that expensive, I would think the tour operator is collecting a deposit and everyone pays their share. I have never been "stiffed" by a couple who signed on for a small group tour. Generally, I think most folks are not doing so " on a lark" and are keen to have the experience. That said, I have yet to encounter a private small group tour costing near that amount.
  3. I agree with both of you, but I have also been able to depart the ship at a time of my choosing.
  4. I suppose I have never cared to be the first person off the ship. Was this a self-disembarking group? I don't see how being the first (in general sense) off the ship means much. Unless chasing a very early flight departure (which is a risk in itself). Being among the very first ONTO a ship does mean something if one is looking to book certain amenities.
  5. See Post #76. Deduct 50% from the list prices.
  6. Hate to disappoint, but any guest that wants to depart the ship early on final morning can do so. You do get a special waiting lounge area, but there is no special pecking order for departing the ship. First off are those guests who handle their own bags and nothing to pick up in the terminal building.
  7. Not only that, @latebuyer, but you will not have any issue sharing.
  8. I'm not on any sailing just now... it was just a general statement.
  9. Sure --- as long as you are not on my ship, or at least slower than me. LOL.
  10. Easy solution. Try Uber or other independent ground transportation if not wanting to deal with the tedious group transportation option.
  11. Hmm.. were you accessing the web version of the App and not just the Cruise Personalizer?
  12. It is true that you do see it. And it isn't exactly an easy place to be able to actually walk around on. I suppose I would count it as well as seeing the place. Perhaps when we do a second visit to S.A. (we would like to do a repeat of many places), we might look to fit in Antarctica. Perhaps the thought came to my mind as I do not count that I have visited a US State if I simply connect at an airport.
  13. I don't see how you can be holding two internet packages at the same time. I'd just leave it and worst case is they bill you another $7.50 - you are booked at $15 base rate. Either that or call/chat and advise them you were under-billed and please charge an extra $7.50/day.
  14. These days, Emerald is not all that large a ship.
  15. They will be checking in well before 3pm and most likely boarding before 3pm. They are always overly conservative on these times. They begin the process well before the normal announced time.
  16. I wonder if they removed some of the 360 references as some guests may have been assuming they would get it on more ships? Of course, other aspects indicate IT screw ups.
  17. You need to look up your Roll Call on this website by ship name and sail date. Post there and meet fellow cruisers and discuss coordinating for private tours. I do it all the time and it's the best thing for us.
  18. Look up your Passage Contract. It's all laid out in there. Supposedly, we can no longer carry on water/soda in plastic bottles even though Princess sells water in plastic bottles. Look for cans or paperboard options to be safe. You can bring quite a lot of wine on. Certainly up to two cases will be no problem - other than you managing it. You get a bottle free per person and the rest are subject to a corkage fee. You may be assessed in the terminal at check-in time, or on the ship when you bring additional bottle(s) to the dining room or other venues. I have not run into a manned wine table for a long time, but we always arrive for check-in quite early. I also fine that our waiter may not charge corkage for every bottle. Anytime you show up with an open bottle, you are not charged again.
  19. I would contact PCL as mentioned above. I do not agree with two bookings as it gums up the works for other guests and your two tables may not be together. Whatever you book, you are going to have an extra seat since there are no odd-seating tables. Try PCL help first, but if you get to the CG (no "e") on day 1, you can normally make an arrangement. Just don't delay much in looking into it.
  20. And PCL was the same way as whatever line you refer to (RCL I think?). Anyway, in those days and earlier Medallion days, there was a separate check-in for Suites and Elites. Now it's a big jumble it seems and it's like they want to hurt the guests who do not come with Medallions.

  22. To each their own. At least there is a known work-around. With what I have been reading lately, I wouldn't want to show up at a busy terminal without Medallions.
