  1. You or someone else posted same not long ago. I would want to get an explanation from DR Mgr.
  2. I suppose, but not sure how big the steaks are. Why not if they are small?
  3. Agree. We have no issue about sailing Island for a desirable itinerary. Sure, I would pick another ship if I could, but it is one of the two "small" ships now and tends to do the longer voyages with more ports, etc, as well as the N.A. World Cruise.
  4. The reserve for entire voyage option is really just a user shortcut for having to do individual days. (By that, I mean that DMW does not block a guest into same table and waiters for entire voyage). I have read various reports of that not working for folks and them having to go the single day route. I did that once for a 25-night B2B2B. PITA for sure. I can only guess the software runs into problems trying to block off the same size table for the same location and time. No idea. Perhaps it times out at times. No idea. Regardless of which way you do it, the end result means nothing in terms of the TD experience - which I presume you realize as a regular member and active participant in this Forum. You will need to get with your DR Mgr or DR Host on Day 1 and request to block same table with same wait staff for the duration. Note that they may recommend placing you in a different DR in order to get your desired set table. That said, since you are going for 8:00pm, it should be pretty flexible for them to place you anywhere. If you get any pushback (shouldn't happen), just remind them that Princess still promises the TD experience.
  5. I do not believe boarding times or lack thereof has anything to do with priority embarkation. No one is going to get priority embarkation unless they are at the terminal and checked in prior to the start of general boarding. There is no such thing after the waiting crowd in the terminal has boarded since later folks just head onto the ship after check-in.
  6. The App does have issues for some folks, but generally works well on board the ship. Pre-cruise is another matter. It reads like you were in a Suite. Were you aware of the Suite Concierge and the Lounge room? The Concierge could have arranged SD reservation, or call the DINE line. I would have let someone in mgt know about the Bistro experience. I would have begun with the cabin steward in terms of cleaning and then escalated if it did not improve. You are on an Alaska cruise. You boarded in Seattle which doesn't have the terminal lines and congestion of Vancouver AFAIK. When did you arrive at the terminal? Were you Green Lane or Blue Lane? Unless a guest arrives for check-in prior to start of boarding, there is no priority boarding for anyone. If you are there ahead of time, then you would have had a designated waiting area for Suites and Elite level guests and this group boards first. If you arrive after the waiting folks have boarded, then you and everyone else, just heads on board as soon as check-in is completed. Unfortunately, Princess seems to have eliminated priority check-in at many ports, so there are no designated agents for Suites/Elites. That said, check-in should be quite smooth at most ports and you can always pick the shortest line. Hard to tell why you didn't get priority processing without more information about your experience. There really isn't such a thing as priority disembarkation because you and any guest can leave the ship anytime after disembarking commences up until they boot the last stragglers off the ship (say, no later than 9:30am). There is a designated location on the ship for Suite and Elite guests to wait to disembark. You will be informed about that. Speak to your Concierge about your concerns and see what happens.
  7. I would advise the route to go is to collect reimbursement from friends if reserving pre-cruise. You mention making a few SD reservations. Why don't you book the first, and they book the second one? That way no one owes anyone else. You only need worry about a split if you and friends go to SD an odd number of times. If you are booking on board, you are not charged immediately, so just advise the waiter of each cabin number and to chop it up - it's done all the time.
  8. I thought Jill Whelan was PCL brand ambassador. But it is more of a figurehead and she certainly doesn't get into the trenches of guest issues.
  9. New Winter season voyage, but you have correctly deduced that your second formal/dress-to-impress night will be St Thomas because the Grand Turk is a late departure. Lobster tails come the second night. There have been reports of offer of surf and turf meal. Or surf. Or turf. Extra tail $10. That said, I would posit the case for TWO tails free if having only surf because the second tail is in lieu of the steak.
  10. No matter when nor how a guest paid/pays $60 for Plus, all perks are included. You have misunderstood the situation. If there is a subsequent change to the perks, you will benefit or lose. As for the mention of the Medallion shipping charge, those who have waited to purchase Plus on board have been getting $10 OBC automatically.
  11. Just to be clear, this is the situation across all ships.
  12. Princess got rid of printed BP's ages ago (2021 I think). The only BP will be in the App. It shows up about 11 days prior to sail date and will show ship, your name, sail date, green/blue lane.
  13. If you are going a la carte (Standard Fare), you purchase internet for 1 device at $15/day. Doesn't matter who orders it - you just share the credentials to the other person. (Once you reach Platinum level, you get 50% off).
  14. I will have a Donatello. Hold the suckers and candy, hold the XXX, hold the YYY, etc. It is absolutely stupid a guest could not get something less than those concoctions.
  15. Agreed, but the App database is populated from the main booking system... POLAR. So the data cnvn software may have several issues which would be distinct from the App software.
  16. Thanks for confirming the expected $15 rate. AFAIK, it will be Canada Post taking the handoff at the border.
  17. Royal Class and up supposedly don't serve the syrup coffee. That said, the ships were supposed to convert to Lavazza. If you are on Plus or Premier Fare, order separate coffee from IC to get the good stuff.
  18. What you say is true and some users run into bugs and others not. This seems to point to bad data more than program code. Logging in with Name, BD, Booking Nbr should get you to the cruise if Id/Pswd doesn't work.
  19. Yes, this was announced a while back and has been available for a bit now. I suppose you didn't see a cost for it even though you get it free with Plus Fare package?
  20. You can always stay on the ship, but what voyage and port stop are you talking about?
  21. Princess.com will alert guests as to any testing requirements.
  22. Perhaps because they created the web version begrudgingly and IT decided to hide it because they were embarrassed over the crap product they had implemented.
