  1. Glad you're booked but you would have loved the amenities at Banks...included drinks (open bar serve yourself) and the breakfast (cooked to order by an amazing chef) were great. Enjoy your trip.
  2. We have at many times gotten our new SeaPass card the day before at the consecutive cruiser meeting....and an-in-transit card to make reboarding easier where you can avoid the lines of regular embarking passengers..there will be signs or ask for exact info at your meeting.
  3. For our stay pre-cruise this past July we had booked the Banks Mansion as soon as the bookings opened ( I believe it was a little less than a year out) and had what we considered a great rate....especially when I saw how much the rates jumped up a few months before our arrival. Loved this hotel and location.
  4. If you need a recommendation for a hotel in Amsterdam we stayed at the Banks Mansion this past July and loved the hotel and location. Enjoy !!!
  5. We did a great itinerary ... Ireland, Iceland & Scotland with Celebrity and looking at doing the British Isles with Celebrity or RCI will check out Princess also...thanks.
  6. Hmmm. I've sailed the Alaska itinerary 5 times with RCI which included Hubbard and have never seen an excursion...so info please? And ... no...not everyone missed the beautiful scenery during sail in/out...our extended family group certainly didn't....and neither did the crowds out on the helipad and the upper decks.
  7. As far as black Friday/cyber Monday we've gotten some good rates in our cruise planner for internet during these sales.
  8. Uber for our recent trip (noted above) was $5.00 less than what we paid for a taxi. The taxi's were lined up waiting and we saw many people actually waiting and calling to get their Uber so we did what appeared to be the easier option. Worked out great for us. I'll just add we took the Flyaway from Van Nuys (where we parked our car) to terminal one to get a taxi for our San Pedro to Tampa Panama Canal cruise. Looked at different travel options and this worked out best for us.
  9. Perhaps I'm not understanding your post but MSNBC & FOX have been on every RCI ship I've sailed including the recent 5 this year. Very poor TV options onboard and that's why we bring our Firestick.
  10. You would have to call the cruiseline to book a transfer and compare pricing vs just using a taxi or Uber. I can offer that we easily just (Oct 2nd) took a taxi from LAX to the San Pedro pier. We walked from terminal one to the LAX-IT location (where you must go for taxi's or ride shares at LAX all other terminals there's an LAX-IT comp shuttle to get to this area) and it took us approx 20-25 min to get to San Pedro to board our cruise ship and the cost was approx $70.00. This couldn't have been easier.
  11. You're so very welcome. You might check with the particular RCI ship you'll be cruising on as I believe a few have already started using Skylink. Best of luck to you and enjoy cruising with RCI.
  12. We also have AT&T and a few years ago we usually did purchase the AT&T cruise pkg. but not any longer. We also put our iPhones on airplane mode and then WiFi calling. This works great with the Voom Surf/Stream we purchase for onboard. If we need to at certain ports we use the AT&T day pass. We've cruised quite a bit lately and this has worked well.
  13. There was mini golf recently on Navigator, Explorer, Harmony, Jewel and Serenade.
  14. No..never had a problem. Cars come and go. When cruising out of San Pedro (our home port) we find it an easy port to park at getting in and out. Pay at the gate as we leave...couldn't be easier.
  15. Sorry...wrong you can order breakfast/lunch/dinner from the MDR menu. We often order just dessert at night just before the MDR closes...So Yummy !!!
  16. Yes that's when I saw them as well. I decided to pass as we need two suites.
  17. Agree...suites way to high we'll stick to Oasis & Quantum class at least for now. When I'm taking the extended family.
  18. RCI Radiance class has the helipad for viewing and it had beautiful views last month.
  19. We just sailed on Serenade in September and Tracy Arm was on our itinerary...no...there was no getting off the ship or excursions offered. Our sailing times were 5:00am-9:00am and we were very underwhelmed with this glacier. However Hubbard was amazing.
  20. Is your cruiseline offering any post cruise excursions? Believe me you certainly don't want to spend to much time at TPA. We were just off a cruise in Tampa and our flight didn't leave until 2:45pm...thank goodness for the Sky Lounge.
  21. We'll be doing Hawaii to Vancouver next May 2023 and I could care less what the weather will be. So looking forward to this itinerary.
  22. Agree....We had numerous "no satellite connection" on some of our cruises this year (some lasting a day) in areas where we could understand it but in others it was a surprise. You just never know. I believe some RCI ships have started installing the Skylink...and have heard that it may be available sooner than expected.
  23. Love the DL One have flown on it a couple of times this year. Well worth it.
  24. Ohhh...My bad...darn those senior moments But thanks for the kind words that I can also at times be spot on
  25. Usually 90 days out...but it can vary. If you booked direct you'll be sent an email when it's available.
