  1. I would prefer an itinerary that also includes Kona and Hilo and not just sailing around the Napali Coast. However if you're just using it to sail back then sounds fine for your needs. As I said "JMHO".
  2. We sail often on many RCI ships and have never had a problem hooking up our Firestick to watch Amazon Prime, Netflix etc etc. If you have any problems OP just ask your cabin steward to have an onboard electrician come and help you...have been told they do this all the time...don't worry RCI doesn't care about this any longer.
  3. We see her on our local news station (NBC Cam) docked in San Pedro when she's in port and as recently as this past Monday.
  4. Sorry so many things went wrong but I certainly wouldn't avoid RCI because you opted to book your son's flight with them. We always book our own flights regardless.
  5. JMHO....not that great of an itinerary but hope you enjoy it.
  6. Interesting that they only sell by the case. Is this a UK policy as it certainly isn't in the US.
  7. We book our own air. No TA is going to be obsessed with checking prices as often as I do and also responding when there has been a change which affects our chosen seating. I actually enjoy booking our air.
  8. Yes...I know Hampton Inn & Suites does on 2nd & 3rd floor. If you're not a guest you would have to ask about accessing them. I can certainly understand your need for it.
  9. I believe Ruby Tuesdays has closed...I agree it was the worst. Besides the IHOP (which we like) there are several dining options in the Mall and easy walk across their parking lot.
  10. We too had amazing service from Corey the owner and our wonderful driver Jake that took us roundtrip.
  11. Yes...Correct, the shuttle offered at the hotel from there to Cape Liberty is a fee. We have always opted for an Uber or Taxi which is cheaper than the shuttle and based on our time frame not their schedule. Last time we were there they had two time options and the first one was already booked so apparently this is something people do opt for. Sorry I did not make my post clear for the OP.
  12. If the OP decides this port is better ?? Then I suggest Dave's Taxi Tours. I'm still recommending it be Halifax though.
  13. Yes they do...Hampton Inn & Suites on International Blvd Elizabeth NJ. Find us off I-95, a two-minute walk from The Mills at Jersey Gardens. Newark Liberty International Airport is less than five minutes away, and our courtesy shuttle will take you both ways. Cape Liberty Cruise Port is 20 minutes from our door. Enjoy our fitness center, free, hot breakfast, and free WiFi.
  14. You are given a time to meet other Key holders and suite guests at a certain area and they escort the group down to board the tender.
  15. We're booked for the Hampton Inn Suites in Brickell for Feb 2024. I think we'll just use a taxi from MIA to hotel also to the port. Lots of good recommendations for this hotel.
  16. Price out Cruise Control...a great shuttle company......888 416-8830
  17. Not sure what best is in your opinion but we're staying again at the Hampton Inn & Suites. Great location and has been fully refurbished. It's on International Blvd in Elizabeth NJ. Several other hotels by this one also and it's near restaurants and a large mall. This area is a very popular pre-cruise location.
  18. So happy for you that everything worked out. Just a suggestion....RCI transfers aren't necessary at all. So many taxi's will be lined up and waiting and the cost will be much less than the transfers.
  19. Yes they are. I've gotten amazing deals at times and they were honored. They were added to my cruise planner automatically just minutes after booking.
  20. I would suggest you do a tour in Halifax. One of the best I and many others can recommend is the Halifax Titanic Historical Tour with Paul McNeil....just an amazing tour Paul offers. Book this tour quickly as this is one that sells out fast !
  21. No, I don't believe so. There were shops and a coffee place on the first floor when you enter.
  22. We had them change out the light bulbs in the bathroom....hope it works out for you if there still there. Enjoy the Jewel.
  23. It was in Chops on our cruise. We only ate in there the last morning...as we preferred the MDR breakfast delivered to our cabin. The OS on Jewel (#1060) was fine...but the lighting in the bathroom was less than desirable....Just a pet peeve of mine.
  24. We did the Arctic Cruise on Jewel July 2022. Enjoyed our pre-cruise days in Amsterdam at the Banks Mansion. Amsterdam port is a great port to sail out/into. Very surprised we went through the locks as we had no idea that we would. We had great flights on DL One and booked directly LAX-AMS via SEA. I got an amazing price approx. $3200 for the both of us. The Air2Sea price "never" even came close and the direct booking with DL did nothing but go UP !! The port itinerary was ok (different from what you're doing) and Bergen was our favorite. Somethings at the other ports (timing, docking location etc.) were a bit disappointing. Glad we did this itinerary but not keen on doing it again. Loved the Jewel and we'll be on her again July 2024 for the British Isles.
