  1. No..never had a problem. Cars come and go. When cruising out of San Pedro (our home port) we find it an easy port to park at getting in and out. Pay at the gate as we leave...couldn't be easier.
  2. Sorry...wrong you can order breakfast/lunch/dinner from the MDR menu. We often order just dessert at night just before the MDR closes...So Yummy !!!
  3. Yes that's when I saw them as well. I decided to pass as we need two suites.
  4. Agree...suites way to high we'll stick to Oasis & Quantum class at least for now. When I'm taking the extended family.
  5. RCI Radiance class has the helipad for viewing and it had beautiful views last month.
  6. We just sailed on Serenade in September and Tracy Arm was on our itinerary...no...there was no getting off the ship or excursions offered. Our sailing times were 5:00am-9:00am and we were very underwhelmed with this glacier. However Hubbard was amazing.
  7. Is your cruiseline offering any post cruise excursions? Believe me you certainly don't want to spend to much time at TPA. We were just off a cruise in Tampa and our flight didn't leave until 2:45pm...thank goodness for the Sky Lounge.
  8. We'll be doing Hawaii to Vancouver next May 2023 and I could care less what the weather will be. So looking forward to this itinerary.
  9. Agree....We had numerous "no satellite connection" on some of our cruises this year (some lasting a day) in areas where we could understand it but in others it was a surprise. You just never know. I believe some RCI ships have started installing the Skylink...and have heard that it may be available sooner than expected.
  10. Love the DL One have flown on it a couple of times this year. Well worth it.
  11. Ohhh...My bad...darn those senior moments But thanks for the kind words that I can also at times be spot on
  12. Usually 90 days out...but it can vary. If you booked direct you'll be sent an email when it's available.
  13. Recently on Jewel and Serenade and neither had interactive TV's.
  14. If the night street BBQ is still open "Lau Pa Sat" don't miss going. We went there two nights it was so good the best satay and peanut sauce we've ever had.
  15. Just last month (September) onboard Serenade cruising with our extended family our DS & DDIL asked at Adventure Ocean if their boys age 5 & 8 would be able to stay together and were told that they would try allowing the 5 year old to join the Explorer group and see how it went. We ended up having full busy days/nights so they never actually ended up using AO. And yes...during our many cruises with grandkids we as grandparents were always able to take the kids off/on in ports.
  16. Agree...a Hawaii cruise is a nice sample. We're booked on Celebrity Eclipse for next May their Hawaii to Vancouver itinerary. Looking forward to this one.
  17. You'll have no problem using your credit card at Walmart..no minimum required. And yes you can certainly pay with cash. It's your decision to get pesos but it's not necessary at all. Over the many years of visiting these ports numerous times we've never felt a need to use pesos for the small amount that we spend there on purchases. Big purchases and for those that stay for extended periods of time pesos work out better for them.
  18. Hank...Your unnecessary tirade above aimed specifically at me was just so out of character considering the many posts of mine you've responded to over the past with such great info and help with many other cruising subjects. So sorry this particular post seems to have taken a bad turn. No hard feelings I hope.
  19. Our many cruises with our extended family over the years has never been "diminished" even though the little ones can't remember them we all can and have great memories and photos to prove it. And why I cautioned the OP to make this decision based on their personal choice...True it's not for everyone....but based on the seven cruises we've been on since the start of this year more and more families with little ones are definitely choosing to cruise.
  20. Nice...We always just include them to our final payment here in the US. Some pay them onboard as a daily charge to their final folio.
  21. Interesting to know that it serves the community as something more than just a cruise ship terminal. Hope everyone in PV is safe during this oncoming hurricane. BTW...again thanks for all the great tips you offered when we recently cruised out of Amsterdam.
  22. Wow...Seems like I hit a nerve. My point which you don't seem to understand is that not all improvement is always totally necessary. It just seemed like a lot of it was overkill.
  23. Issue ??? I'm just giving a recent personal opinion of what a surprise it was and the overkill it seemed to be.
  24. We haven't ever had that situation but we do always ask first. We've never felt the need to use anything other than USD for the very few things we purchase at our port stops in Mexico.
  25. I am that other poster that was just on a port stop in PV a couple of weeks ago on our way through the Panama Canal. And yes they did one drop off just before the pedestrian area started for the Malecon. You exit the shuttle and walk left..you'll be at the Malecon within a minute or two. This couldn't be easier to do. Once you're ready to go back to the ship we go a block over where one way traffic will be headed towards the port. We ask the price (USD) before entering and it will be $10.00. Several times we've had the driver drop us directly at the front door to Walmart..again easy to do.
