  1. its a capacity issue. here is a few articles about the issues at the park: https://www.juneauempire.com/news/unprecedented-visitors-at-mendenhall-glacier-rapidly-outpacing-allowed-capacity/ https://alaskabeacon.com/briefs/top-alaska-tourist-attraction-mendenhall-glacier-to-hit-capacity-for-visitors-by-late-summer/ https://www.ktoo.org/2023/07/21/as-mendenhall-glacier-hits-tour-capacity-juneau-visitors-are-opting-for-the-city-bus/ some tour operators is canceling tours that goes to the park due to this issue
  2. its due to a early saver booking. early saver has a 50 dollar per person fee. most likely you are being charged double as that is the standard since everything is based on double occupancy
  3. if you know the ship and sail date, the shipmate app has all of the itinerary for every cruise
  4. no regulations/requirements. Bermuda got rid of everything back around October 2022 or so
  5. If you have access to the edocs it is also listed on the edocs too under the Current Reservations heading
  6. unless i miss something, for years that section has been missing for me whenever i book directly with carnival using the website. after booking i need to go the cruise manager and then make my selection
  7. this is normal. the website is always very glitching and has tons of issues
  8. i think it is a design issue with the layout. the plates and utensils is at the beginning of the buffet where the long line forms. if each thing was a separate section then each section should also have the plates and utensils. this is what i noticed on other cruise lines like royal and norwegian where they are plenty of places to just grab a plate and go. not so much on carnival ships.
  9. the whole taxi stand area is congested with fake uber/lyft, expensive ripoff taxi drivers, yellow cabs, etc. it can be a mess. it can be somewhat not easy getting a uber/lyft with the traffic in that area. what i do instead is i walk up to 11th ave or i walk a few blocks down to 46th st. the best part of walking is you can sometimes escape the very annoying surge pricing zone and save a few bucks
  10. i noticed the same earlier this year and its annoying i liked the summary pages too. You can still view the onboard credit by going to the booking and order detail page and then click on view invoice details
  11. noticed the same thing was i on the joy last year
  12. there is always a bathroom by the pool area or by the buffet area on ever ship ive been on. . try posting on the HAL forums instead
  13. carnival got rid of the live band in the theater when they started the playlist production back in 2012
  14. do not contact carnival. the best thing to do is leave the booking alone. all guests do not need to be there for check-in at the terminal. you can still check in. if they ask, just saying they are coming later in the day. eventfully they will be marked as a no show in the system
  15. the paid tour is suppose to go the bridge according to the tour description: I did the tour on the Escape back in the day and it included a bridge visit
  16. the paid tour goes to the bridge and the platinum tour does not. thats how i usually remember it and what i noticed on my past cruises
  17. i am cruising on the venezia in two weeks and i got the same email for my cruise sailing out of New York
  18. Delta is 50 pounds for domestic flights and 70 pounds for international
  19. I also received the same email too. This is the first time I am seeing that you can not arrive early
  20. you will need to wait in line unless you get a nice person that will allow you to cut the line
  21. the cruise terminal does not weigh your luggage like the airports. the weight limit is a suggestion to help make it easier on the porter at the terminal that load the luggage on to the ship and the crew onboard the ship delivering the luggage to your room
  22. it is designed very poorly there is one single line for salad, soup, entrees, etc, etc if you do no want any salad, you still have to stand in that line
  23. most likely an airline issue. in the past i have received emails from an airline that my flight time was changed and the only that changed was a minute or two from the departure or arrival time
  24. i book as early as possible. thats when i noticed the lower cruise fares and then you can lock in at the older gratuities pricing for the drinks/dinning and room gratuities
  25. during the booking process you can uncheck/remove the drinks and dinning package. i do it all the time
