  1. here is the segmnet: https://www.goodmorningamerica.com/news/story/carnival-cruise-passenger-overboard-dead-set-surviving-94300261
  2. thats the problem i am having. i noticed if i cancel online it says i will have to pay a penalty. not sure if i call they will waive that fee
  3. a cruise ship is like a giant sail. wind can push and pull the ship around making it unsafe to navigate the ship. if a heavy gust of wind pushes the ship back to the dock as the ship is sailing away, bad things can happen
  4. what does your insurance policy say and what did the claim say? with my insurance policy it always says maximum benefit is xyz dollars if your specific policy says you only get back 500 then sadly that is the most you will get back
  5. i found this on a recent cruise compass from an oasis cruise a few months ago:
  6. on the website during the booking process you can uncheck the drinks, dining package and then you can see the price decrease in real time
  7. yes. at the restaurant when you are the check in desk you tell them you are using one of the dinning package
  8. same problem me. i booked directly with carnival. whenever i call, there is no one to help me and told me to keep waiting very horrible customer service overall
  9. at 120 days prior to sail date you make dinning reservations online. if you are platinum or in a suite then it is anywhere from 125 to 130 days
  10. yes. make sure you do that to prevent from roaming
  11. you do this onboard the ship when you connect to the ship wifi network
  12. Boarding is always around 1130 or so. Best time for me is after 1pm
  13. When does this appear in the planner? Sailing on the oasis in May and I can't find it
  14. no. that is normal when a ship is sold out it is removed from the carnival website causing these third part websites not to have this specific sailing.
  15. i have a crazy theory that they reason why they are not assigning rooms is because they want everyone to be TBA so they can not submit any price drops, allows them to hold onto our money even longer before we submit for price reductions
  16. its been 1 weeks since i got the email that they were still working on this and its been 2 and half weeks since the released the news of the ship switch and i am still waiting for my 2 bookings to be updated..i hate this tba nonsense
  17. did you book with a travel agent? not all travel agent is in the royal up program
  18. depend on which sailing you are looking at. the website can be confusing and not the show the correct itinerary for a specific sail date. if the ship goes from Port Canaveral, Miami, Coco Cay, Nassau then there is no issues at all and that itinerary is fine if the ship goes from Port Canaveral, Coco Cay, Miami, Nassau or Port Canaveral, Coco Cay, Nassau, Miami then you will get the issue like what is posted about here with clearing customs and the requirement of getting on and off the ship in miami this problem is not unique to Florida/Bahamas cruises. i read some complaints with the Canada New England cruises with a similar customs issues depending on the itinerary and the ship previous port
  19. i wish they can do a similar itinerary out of new york city tooo
  20. If you are willing to jump ship, look at the Carnival Venezia itinerary out of NYC, they are lots of amazing 10-15 day cruises going to the South Caribbean like st lucia, st kitts, Barbados
  21. that is about right, plus required gratuity they add on too. when i was on the magic, the milkshakes was around 6 something with the gratuity
