  1. Sometimes that's the sound of hitting a whale too... (jk, but not 100%) Tom
  2. I gave some friends a ride (PC to MCO) on Sunday after they returned on the Prima. We left the terminal at 7:24, and I dropped them off curbside (Southwest departing) at 8:04. So, right at 40 minutes. I made good time. 🙂 Tom
  3. I was looking for some cruise options (Oct '24) for Caribbean sailings, but they haven't opened up any sailings yet. Any idea when I should expect those to pop on the radar? I have not sailed on HAL since the mid 60's (as a toddler), and I thought it might be time, LOL. THANKS, Tom
  4. I was looking for some cruise options (Oct '24) for Caribbean sailings, but they haven't opened up any sailings yet. Any idea when I should expect those to pop on the radar? THANKS, Tom
  5. Comedy shows.. waaay back, most others still pretty far back. I've been singled out perhaps 3 times. I've checked all that off my "list" now! Tom
  6. I recall seeing this somewhere else... so, as a general rule do they ask you not to bring drinks into the shows? (I'm guessing no cup holders?) Tom
  7. We usually get approved but, as some others have suggested - it never hurts to resubmit ! Tom
  8. You should have tried THIS ship -- I've NEVER wanted to get back to port/off the ship as much as on that old rust bucket! The only meat on the buffet was little smokies, and it went downhill from there... Tom
  9. Withdrawal symptoms vary, but irritability is high on the list! Tom
  10. Go for it... order one.. if nothing else, as a tie breaker !! Tom
  11. I'll add a question (perhaps it's common knowledge, but I'm new to MSC). I matched to Diamond - the specialty dinner, does that apply to shorter (3-night) sailings as well? Tom
  12. ... and then there's people similar to myself - who spend an inordinate amount of time tweezing apart the minutia. I do this to be informed, as I prefer to minimize (you can never eliminate) surprises. Tom
  13. Thanks Though, "I've got an angle" (can anyone spot the movie reference?) I've had significant speed gains using a VPN... We'll see! Tom
  14. For most sailings in the Caribbean, would you say there's service a good 90 to 95% of the time (similar to other lines)? Tom
  15. Good to know it's 2 devices each - I just assumed it was 2 for the cabin. Tom
  16. Any scouting report as to "which" Muffuletta they're presently serving on the Mardi Gras? Might it be the circa 8/21 Emeril's (Mardi Gras) version: ...or the disappointing version served on the Celebration recently: I hope they haven't slipped that far - but I'm not very optimistic ! Tom
  17. From what I've been reading over on the MSC boards, we should be prepared for quite the rowdy crowd for our first MSC sailing a couple months from now (3 nighter!!). Someone there even said they make the Carnival crowds look like monks... so... should be interesting if nothing else! Tom
  18. FWIW - we're also keeping our first booking (Seaside in April, YC fortunately) - and I'm in the process of booking a group for my office on the Seashore next March. I'm going in with eyes wide open. If it's a total sh#% show, I'll make sure that our group booking is fully refundable. 🙂 Tom
  19. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding this part... On our last Celebrity (Reflection B2B) sailing, we had something like $800 OBC for each leg. I was able to draw on that prior to sailing for excursions and such - ended up using most it ahead of time to get dozens of their $55 promo chips for $50. On our upcoming Mardi Gras sailing, each time I've purchased something for that cruise (Wi-Fi, specialty dining, etc), I'm given the option of using my OBC. I, instead, use the handy $500 AARP Carnival gift cards - which I purchased for $450 each. 🙂 Tom
  20. (Out of curiosity) - any Zeniths here who partake in the PUP's ? Tom
  21. Perhaps this exists somewhere, but I have not come across it. Is there anywhere in your profile which shows how and when these additional points were earned? Tom
  22. On an Ultra cruise, I spun the wheel and instantly received something like $1,000 free play... so, there's that. The potential of more... Tom
