  1. It was for the 6 days I was in isolation. There were no other expenses.
  2. Regent’s policy was not the same as Celebrity’s. If the trip insurance had failed to pay the claim, I was told to contact the offices in Miami to see about a FCC. I was given contact information and all necessary paperwork.
  3. I told my TA about Steve. He’s wonderful!
  4. @Kwaj girl, no it wasn’t. I didn’t even pay for it until after passing the Covid test to board the ship. We had a B2B, and these tours were for the second leg. I’m hopeful the credit card insurance will cover.
  5. My pet peeve about Celebrity is the absence of self laundry! Terrible laundry for free is still not a benefit!
  6. We purchased trip insurance through Steve@tripinsurancestore. From his recommendations we selected a Travel Guard (part of AIG) policy. Unfortunately, I had the opportunity to check out the claim process and customer service due to contracting Covid somewhere in Spain. I’m happy to report a full resolution to the missed cruise days! The process took almost seven weeks from claim submittal to check received, but as I understand it, the companies are inundated with claims, so I’m very pleased with the timing. Not so happily, my claim for missed private excursions in Bordeaux was not covered, but I submitted a claim with the credit card insurance company, so we shall see. I originally posted this on the Regent board because we were sailing on Voyager, but I thought my Celebrity buddies might want to know about the great customer service from tripinsurancestore.

  8. I suggest Uber or Lyft. Less expensive than renting a car and paying for parking, valet, etc.
  9. Happy to hear this @Norwegian Cruiser 73. We board Pursuit in February.
  10. I stopped getting them also, so I’m very grateful to those who post the links!
  11. Jim, did you and Iain use insect repellent? If so, can you please tell me what kind and did you bring it along in your luggage? Some of our ports in Brazil (Azamara Pursuit, February) recommend using it. Thanks!
  12. @81Zoomie, we have to travel together!
  13. I concur @81Zoomie. We will be on Pursuit in February, sailing from Buenos Aires. I think we will bring wine onboard with us.
  14. I’m really enjoying this blog! I start my day with it and coffee, and finish with it and a nightcap. Thanks Jim!
  15. Thanks for the recommendation @marinaro44.
  16. I saw that too. Debating whether or not to go. The bus ride may be a dealbreaker for us. But by February, who knows? 😁
  17. I asked for the glass to be changed so it didn’t interfere with my view. Took a few days, but our butler got it done. Not sure if they changed it back after we left! 😆
  18. Our waiter in Luminae worked with us to make sure we didn’t have too many carbs but still had a lovely dining experience. Very accommodating.
  19. Makes sense to test. Adds anxiety, but seems to be the way to protect yourself financially in case you get Covid during the trip.
  20. Would it matter when the insurance policy was purchased? If testing was the rule at purchase, is it still necessary? I would ask the insurance agent/company for clarification. In writing!
  21. Wonderful photos @KenTheCruiser! Thanks for taking the time to show us the sights!
