Recently onboard the NCL Getaway we enjoyed Cagney twice excellent ribeye included great lettuce wedge salad and shrimp cocktail. Walked out of Moderno Brazilian as it was a fiasco but might have been a first night thing. Decent LeBistro French but not a wow factor other than dessert. LaCucina Italian was just okay. Oceanblue was not very good, but we’re from New England and are used to exceptional seafood. Our favorite onboard included restaurant was taste great service and pretty good food. Oshehans pub is excellent for breakfast but the wings are just okay. Shanghai noodles is included and very good except for the smoke from casino. See y’all from Arizona just so ya know one of our favorite places is Cave Creek with the bull riding out back of the Buffaloe chip saloon and live country music and line dancing! Hiking Toms thumb and driving up to Sedona and flagstaff you guys are in heaven on earth except for summertime! Namaste 🙏

Very intriguing the activities listed on MSC with many dancing opportunities. Fitness activities too! Live music. If we’re busy we can put up with kids! Cigarette smoke not! Decent food and service but live bands and dancing opportunities we live for.

Looking into a 7 nights MSC cruise outta of port canaverale Florida soon and I’m concerned about smoking and pool area. Is it a big issue as I remember years ago certain cruises had much more smoking. Recently onboard Ncl getaway spice H20 was thick with smoke day and night . So far I’ve been impressed by msc activities onboard activities! Seems like a lot of fun and live music too! Still doing my due diligence research any experience msc Information greatly appreciated.

We’re in our mid ‘60’s and very active just got back from 12 nights Ncl Getaway and loved the dancing opportunities and fun! Daily over 20,000 steps. But food was just okay including 5 specialty restaurant dinners. So we’re thinking of Virgin but concerned about any live bands and dancing opportunities! Gym rats here daily Zumba power pump yoga Zumba toning BUTI yoga too, onboard we enjoyed the reggae band and Latin music and Motown dancing on Ncl, just curious how virgin compares?

We’re in our 60’s and are elite status on RCL Ncl celebrity and Princess too! But have been on Ncl mostly because of the dancing opportunities to live music. Recently onboard the Getaway and Bliss we enjoyed 20,000 steps dancing most days. Haven’t been on a Princess for years but do remember that we enjoyed Zumba and some live music and dancing. Anyone who loves to dance and loves princess have an opinion on the amount of activities onboard? Reason being we’re from the East coast and Hawaii is calling us so Princess is probably the very best bet. Out of San Francisco soon in March 2023 I’m trying to surprise my wife but as she goes to our YMCA daily and lives for Zumba and dancing on a 2 week plus cruise I don’t want to disappoint her. Still using the same snorkel gear bought 25 years ago! Sometimes bringing flippers other not because of packing. Recently on NCL getaway we enjoyed snorkeling at the boatyard in barbados with sea turtles and a shipwreck, in st Thomas on a catamaran sailboat to buck island, at st kitts at Carambola beach club snorkeling from shore over reef right there off shore. Tripadvisor and cruise critic and google search for snorkeling from shore. In Aruba we take the local bus to Arrachi beach and excellent snorkeling from shore. Save your money and use your own stuff and then you can do more cruises.

Using Priceline for example it’s plain to see every single cruise onboard the same ship immediately following a transatlantic has a jacked up price. Cruise lines know we want to do back to back so it’s reasonable price on going transatlantic but very next cruise is outrageous over priced! Solution is do transatlantic and then spend a week on land then do another cruise. To come back home either fly TAP is a good airline or reverse transatlantic on Cunard to NYC.

Zumba class? Live bands with dancing opportunities? We haven’t been on carnival in years. Over 45 cruises on Ncl RCL celebrity Holland too, Princess too. But haven’t done carnival since our kids were little and I recall enjoying them on at least 5 different cruises. Recently on Ncl we enjoyed over 20,000 steps dancing a day from morning until late at night the live band and dancing was great! Any information would be great about carnival cruises dancing and live bands we’ve been on RCL which seems to have karaoke and silent disco sooooo boring!

We’re over 65 now and used to love Celebrity but unfortunately our last 2 cruises on Equionox and Eclipse were boring! Elite status and we enjoyed our perks but the evening lacked activities so we’ve been enjoying NCL recently. Over 20,000 steps a day in dancing activities with live music Latin duo in sugarcane mojitos bar and reggae band and Motown not to mention elaborate nightly theme parties at spice H20 outside. I’m glad I enjoyed celebrity before all the karaoke and silent disco as that is boring and cheap entertainment. And in 10 years we might be back but while we can move it we’re going to! Move it or lose it!

We’re Elite and stopped going on Celebrity about 5 years ago as my wife and I were bored to tears with silent disco and karaoke! Mostly on NCL and over 20,000 steps a day with all the activities sugarcane mojitos bar has Latin duo and dancing nightly. Theme parties reggae band. Dancing class daily. Zumba classes daily. Anyone else who loves dancing find the Celebrity ships added more or is it still low key. Understand I used to love the food and service onboard but on our last few 14 nights Equionox and longer Eclipse cruise a few years ago it was painfully dead each night. By the pool no band. No Zumba. No dancing nightly . Would love to see if it’s better now?

Get the plastic bag and stretch it out first then jam it full up.! I always have my laundry done on RCL Ncl and Celebrity plus my suit dry cleaning on Celebrity. My wife doesn’t trust em. So I can get 2 loads done before we go home and easy peasy most of my stuff is clean! Funny thing is that those little marker tags are going to show up year round and sometimes not until next cruise with cruise wear! NCL does a very nice job! Folded in basket back in room.

New York City Cunard! Or take a transatlantic to Europe and use Cunard back to New York City and then get back to Florida. Round trips don’t exist anywhere else, or prove me wrong. Unless you want a transatlantic out of Boston through Iceland on hAL. Expensive

We enjoyed our cruise. Now home with covid19! If I recover again it was wonderful! 3 times for covid19 and I’m 5 shots into vaccinated including January 2023 latest 5 th booster. Met folks who had a spouse quarantine onboard but not them, a little odd! Anyway feeling a little sick last 2 days onboard and getting tested Thursday after getting home from cruise with positive results! Wife tested negative on Thursday. Quite a few folks onboard wearing masks 😷. So who knows what the answer is? But original covid19 was in May following a RCL cruise and long covid19 for me but wife is fine……in Boston on long covid19 program been there 3 times inhaler nasal spray etc. . As they say it’s the cost of doing business now!

Celebrity has non existent parties and slilent disco. Holland America is for old people, one cruise and done, until I actually get that old. No activities. RCL has a party here or there and ends quickly. And again silent disco and karaoke constantly, bored to tears in May on adventure for 9 nights! Ncl has onboard activities staff that can’t be beat! Recently on Getaway 12 nights we did over 20,000 steps daily with 7 am stretching classes and at 8:45 Zumba type classes and 11 am dancing classes and 1 pm activities and dancing by pool and in atrium with Reggae band and then Latin duo in sugarcane mojitos bar next Bliss lounge with dj or live bands. No weight gain here. While you’re feeling good and young enough to move your body enjoy NCL! Ya can cruise with the others when you are older……

Antigua cab ride to sneaky Pete’s beach bar with wonderful waves and lots of beach to walk around in front of sandals resort. Cold beer and drinks local bbq toooo! St Martin you have to take a cab to Maho beach 🏖 with the planes. Sunset bar with yellow awning great cold beer and decent bathrooms plus the gentle warm waves are heavenly and hard to leave. Check out the surfboard for plane ✈️ schedule! Hold onto your hat, your kids, your drink, if you drank enough hold onto the fence! 🤣

Cagney has the best ribeye steak! Went twice on recent Getaway. Walking out of horrible Moderno, le bistro decent, ocean blue was edible at best, La cucina adequate! If I had to do it over I might space out 5 Cagney ribeye steak! Over 12 nights cruise. Shang hai noodles bar is included and very good other than loud smoky neighbors right there in casino, smoke smell terrible. Some meals included in Savor were better than the specialty ones . Tropicana resteraunt was the worst ever.

In Bermuda if we’re going there for 3 consecutive days we walk off the ship to snorkel park beach for small fee you can enjoy a decent beach and snorkeling 🤿 from shore. Second day we take ferry ⛴ right off ship to other side of Bermuda 🇧🇲 and walk over hill to Tobacco bay beach 🏖 for excellent snorkeling 🤿 from shore, you can visit the Bermuda perfume factory on walking from ferry to tobacco bay. Last day van right off ship 🚢 to horse shoe bay beach. Many years ago we bought our own snorkeling gear and we used it still going on 30 plus cruise and years. Tripadvisor and snorkeling from shore google search will help you save money. Ship excursions are very expensive and for a family outrageous. Save your money for more cruises

For those interested in dancing the Getaway had many places to choose! The sugarcane mojitos bar has a wonderful guy and girl playing Latin music almost every night with dancing in front of band or on walkway. Enjoyed by many of friendly folks willing to share their dancing lessons. Also same duo in atrium with dancing. Reggae band had us dancing in atrium, in other area with Motown and ABBA tribute plus by the pool. Dj by pool too! Every morning in Bliss Lounge activities staff had a rotating dance fitness class, Daniela from Columbia was the best. Daniela also taught us dancing lessons in atrium too. Burn the floor performers also taught us to dance in atrium plus performing in Tropicana restaurant a few times and dancing was available there many nights during dinner. Huge dancing parties at Spice H20 until 1 am. Very well attended. Alvin the CD and his staff were truly amazing. So much fun. We often had 20,000 steps or more. Gaining no weight. Also the chicken wings in O Sheehan pub are not as good as previous so that’s a help with weight gain. But so pleased with amount of activities as our second cruise after ongoing pandemic, May 2022 on RCL adventure was a bit boring with karaoke and slilent disco dreadful. Great news about NCL activities back in full swing.

Just got back from Getaway and the $2.00 bills 💸 were a hit! Devon by pool kept me on tooooooo many pain killers. Ashley in O Sheehans said fellow crew we’re taking pictures of the $2.00 bill and wife gave her a $10.00 too for outstanding service. So all of the haters go on hating but if you want to bring smiles to the crew bring em $2.00 onboard and everyone enjoyed!

Just got back from getaway and used free laundry 🧺 for platinum, excellent folded clothes to take home 🏡! Little laundry marking stickers you’ll peel off as you wear the clothes later. Often on next cruise as it’s cruise wear. I think it was $29.00 if not a perk. On transatlantic usually a half price specials. On Celebrity elite 2 free bags and one dry cleaning and 2 pressings. It’s good to spread loyalty around the cruise lines for perks!

Incredible activities staff onboard getaway January 20 to February 1! Great live bands by pool and in atrium. Sugarcane mojitos bar was fun and dancing was great. Atrium activities and Spice H20 was full of activities including some great dance classes. Food was decent. Staff was excellent. We really enjoyed the cruise.

Off on our own cab ride to Henry Morgan resort paid a fee for resort. Zumba classes by pool volleyball and snorkeling 🤿 from shore to a reef to left of resort. Guys are asking to take you out to reef but we swam it. Tripadvisor or resort website for info. We got cheapest package no drinks. Wonderful pool and beautiful beach. Driver came back for us cabs available toooo!
