  1. I will be there right with you. It looks like we may get ahead of Lee, so fingers crossed. I am cautiously optimistic, but will just be glad to get on the ship. I rarely use my 5 vouchers, but have friends on this cruise just turning Diamond at end, so I will share. 😉
  2. That’s a fabulous cruise. I did it on the Serenade in 2018. Iceland is spectacular.
  3. Definitely a disappointment. I leave for a Greenland cruise on the 14th, and also may be affected by Mother Nature. I’m preparing. I have been to Qaqortoq before, so I understand how many are feeling missing their first time. You have a great attitude, and I hope the rest of your cruise is uneventful.
  4. The type of attire on Formal or any other night, is suggested, not required.
  5. Our earliest for the Greenland cruise next week was 12:30, but since it’s coming from a TA, there’s a coast guard inspection. I’m one that goes for a later arrival time now. I would rather be closer to cabin ready times.
  6. Everybody is different. I have done several TA’s and TP’s, with as many as 7-9 sea days in between. I never depend on the cruise line to entertain me. I have hobbies, so I usually bring a couple of crafting hobbies along with me. I also download movies, series and audiobooks on my IPad. I love the solariums, but it’s hard for me to just lay there doing nothing, hence my crafting. I also walk, so going from deck to deck, forward to aft, lets me enjoy some of the artwork in the hallways. I much prefer numerous sea days in a row, rather than numerous port days. I’m retired and a homebody, so time on a ship is not a whole lot different than time at home, except I can’t putter around in my yard. I rarely cruise less than 10 days anymore, so I prepare myself for sea days. Next week I board the Jewel for 14 nights to Greenland. 8 sea days. Im ready!!
  7. It is normally cheaper to buy 1 package and 3 devices. My friends didn’t ask me first (LOL), bought 2 packages at the rate of $16.99 per day. I let them know the difference, and he called back and saved about $35. Same login, but 2 devices can use at same time. And as mentioned, the cheapest is one package and share the login between the 3 of you, but only 1 device logged in at a time.
  8. I’m on the Greenland cruise on the 14th on the Jewel from Bayonne. I would love for them to have updated bar menu. That Toasted Marshmallow Old Fashioned is calling my name. And I love Skrewball PB Whiskey. Have fun!
  9. It’s never been available as long as I’ve been here.
  10. Yeah, I know the rules, I just didn’t explain it very well. 😉
  11. I added a little to my reply…it was a little confusing…LOL
  12. Since it’s a RT, only a foreign port stop is needed, hence Ensenada. It is going from one US city to a different US city, even though it’s a RT. That’s why a foreign stop is needed.
  13. I don’t gamble, but if I won that much on first night, I would be done for rest of cruise. Congrats!
  14. Have a great cruise. I haven’t been on the Quantum, but plenty on Ovation.
  15. Depends on how late you are out walking…the area around Pike Place Market, can be very sketchy at night. Just like any other major city, be mindful of your surroundings. If you are going a few blocks for dinner, you should be fine. There will also be more activity downtown when the Mariners (Go M’s) and Seahawks are playing (soon), so the streets may have more people.
  16. They have non sushi items on their menu in Izumi.
  17. Thanks. I missed the word “match”. Not a whole bunch of options that would match. 😉
  18. I have friends who are 4 Star in the Mariner Society on HAL. They get some pretty good perks. I’m not going to list them all, since it can be easily googled. 4 Star is 200 days and 5 Star is 500.
  19. My friends disembarked yesterday and there was no issue with the gangway. Looks to be repaired.
  20. Good to know. I’m missing my Wonder block from Oct/22 TA. I will give a few more weeks and then write or call.
  21. Cruise Critic and other social media sites are such a small percentage of the actual cruising public, yet most cruise line ships continue to sail full. Apparently the complaints aren’t great enough on the surveys, or people would rather complain on a message board than actually fill out a survey with their complaints. I would think if bookings started dropping off, the cruise lines might pay attention.
  22. I am so with you on this. I had a daughter in musical theater, and I love the dancing, singing, and could care less about the plot. Give me a good beat that I can bop my head to…🤣
  23. I like my drink vouchers, internet and solo discount. Food is bottom of my list. Many other cruise lines for foodies to enjoy.
