  1. The rule is eight people USING the Cabana that day. You know the rule. You are deliberately breaking the rule and justifying it suit your own needs. 14 people coming and going all day long will likely impact the people who paid for the cabana next to yours.
  2. Watch for a parcel coming from Zing Manufacturing. Ours just arrived by UPS.
  3. So I received a delivery notice from UPS saying that a 3 pound package was coming this week from Zing Manufacturing. I hadn't ordered anything and was a bit concerned. Had I been hacked? What could this be? Turns out it was the crystal block I should have received last March on Jewel of the Seas! LOL! Mystery solved! If you get a Zing notice be excited - not concerned!
  4. You do realize that teachers are 10 month employees, right? That means that they DO NOT GET PAID during summer break! Why would you expect them to do any kind of school related work (even though many do) during their UNPAID VACATION?
  5. I think Chops relies on their sauces to give their filet flavor. Giovanni's filet is so much more flavorful and tasty in my opinion.
  6. I once had my bag go to the naughty room due to the brass valves on our snorkel vests! When I asked why they said on scanning they looked like large brass bullets!
  7. Thanks for the heads up. Our price increased by $200. I will call them tomorrow to get this adjusted.
  8. As of today we have been switched to Adventure in the exact same Junior Suite cabin that we were in on Voyager. The ports have remained the same.
  9. First my RCI page said that my cruise was cancelled but still listed the 7 night Voyager from Fort Lauderdale in July of 2023. Now it says my cruise is cancelled but lists the 5 night Voyager cruise out of Galveston. Does this mean they are working towards assigning me our new cabin? We had a nice hump junior suite originally. We will NOT be happy if they give us a connecting cabin.
  10. ABOUT YOUR UPCOMING TRAVELS Dear Guest, The International Maritime Organization recently shared new speed regulations we must adhere to and as a result, we’ve repositioned some of our ships for our upcoming 2023/2024 season. Our original plan for Voyager of the Seas was to offer sailings departing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida through November 4th, 2023, and Orlando (Port Canaveral), Florida beginning November 10th, 2023. Instead, Voyager will now sail from Galveston, Texas beginning May 9th, 2023. Adventure of the Seas will now take Voyager’s place in Floridaand will offer similar itineraries! Starting July 28th, 2022, we’ll automatically move you to the new Adventure of the Seas sailing departing on the same day as your original Voyager of the Seas cruise. You’ll receive like-for-like accommodations onboard Adventure of the Seas, and your amenities will remain the same. Your vacation is important to us. While we’re confident you’ll have an amazing time onboard Adventure and enjoy many of the same features as Voyager, we still want you to have the flexibility to make the best decision for you and those in your party. Below, we’ve outlined your options along with a few additional details. Option 1: Stay onboard the new Adventure of the Seascruise. We’ll automatically move you to the Adventure of the Seas sailing departing on the same day as your original cruise. So, there’s nothing for you to do! Your new sailing will still offer the same beautiful ports of call as your original cruise, and it’ll depart from the same destination. We’ll move you to a like-for-like stateroom and your original stateroom category price will either be protected at your original cruise fare rate or reduced to the current cruise fare rate (whichever is lower). This excludes taxes, fees, gratuities, and other non-cruise fare items. If your booking was already paid in full and your cruise fare rate decreases, we’ll provide you with a refund for the difference. You can expect to receive your refund to your original form of payment within 14 business days after we move you. Kindly note, refund times may vary depending on your financial institution. Option 2: Re-book any other Royal Caribbean International sailing. If you prefer to re-book another sailing, we’ll waive any non-refundable deposit change fees. Please know, you’ll be responsible for any difference in pricing for your cruise fare, taxes, fees, gratuities, and other non-cruise fare items. If your booking was already paid in full and your cruise fare rate decreases, we’ll provide you with a refund for the difference. You can expect to receive your refund to your original form of payment within 14 business days after we move you. Kindly note, refund times may vary depending on your financial institution. Option 3: If you can’t find a new itinerary that works for you and choose to cancel, we’ll be sad to see you go. You’ll receive: A full refund of any paid portion of your cruise fare (including non-refundable deposits) and any pre-paid amenities to the original form of payment within 14 business days – some international banking and financial institutions may have a processing time of approximately 30 business days. If you used a Future Cruise Credit on this sailing, and you request a refund instead, we’ll refund any NEW funds paid above the certificate amount, and we’ll reinstate your original certificate. If you booked your airfare through Royal Caribbean International, it will be automatically refunded to you. However, if you booked on your own, please contact the service provider directly for your options with them. Please know, if you choose this option, we will not provide additional compensation. Please note, any Cruise Planner purchases for your original Voyager of the Seas sailing will automatically be cancelled and refunded to your original form of payment. Feel free to re-book these items on your new ship and sail date. There are a lot of moving parts when it comes to shifting an entire season of sailings and rebooking all guests, so we ask for your patience as we work to make this process as easy as possible for you. All moves will be completed by August 18th, 2022, and we’ll send an updated reservation confirmation with your revised details to the email address on file as soon as your reservation has been completely updated with the pricing fully adjusted. If you decide to go with Option 2 or 3, please call us at 888-281-9344 or contact your Travel Advisor by August 18th, 2022. And know, hold times may be longer than usual. If we haven’t heard from you by August 18th, 2022, you’ll remain booked on the alternate Adventure of the Seas sailing. If you have any questions, please contact your Travel Advisor immediately or contact us at: 1 888 281 9344 in the U.S. 1800 754 500 in Australia / 0800 102 123 in New Zealand In the UK only, by using our webchat service or by calling 0344 493 4005 All other countries, please visit http://www.royalcaribbean.com/contactus for your local Royal Caribbean International office phone number. Sincerely, Aurora Yera-Rodriguez AVP | Guest Experience Royal Caribbean International
  11. Pretty rude of people who chose NOT to pay for a suite to be pressuring you - who DID pay for a suite - to get them suite privileges for free. I would just tell them that you emailed the concierge and the answer was no. Tell them this BEFORE the cruise even starts.
  12. I got to see the ship medical on Jewel of the Seas back in March. I had a sudden and first time episode of AFib, and the care I received was excellent. Two doctors and two nurses treated me and gave thorough and compassionate care. The doctor decided to have the captain turn the ship around - by the time this was decided we had left port about 30 minutes prior - because it was my first time having this issue. He had been in contact with medical specialists shore side and they came to this decision as a group. Here is a warning though - my 75 minutes in what they billed as ICU cost over $2200 and payment was expected before I left the ship to be transported to the hospital in San Juan. So make sure that you have adequate out of country health care coverage to cover such a large and unexpected expense. Ironically the hospital in San Juan was in network with our regular commercial healthcare and cost us nothing.
  13. Somebody got their jockeys in a twist whilst trying to get the pi$$ out of their cereal this morning! Who cares if someone has a sticker on their nametag? With all the truly devastating things going on in our world right now, somehow a sticker is the least of my concerns.
  14. I thought it meant that Bella was such a cutie pie she was 'rare'!
  15. Beware of the arcade. Spending restrictions might not be in effect there. I have heard of kids ringing up ridiculously high bills spending time in the arcade.
  16. I was able to get reimbursed at the standard non proctored rate ($12 per test) for the Emed proctored tests. Saved me quite a bit of money. Now this was through regular commercial insurance not Medicare, so maybe there is a difference.
  17. I went back and checked what the payment was. The lab billed United Healthcare $300, then there was a $150 plan discount and the healthcare paid the lab $150 for the test. Due to federal rules I was not charged any deductible. I wonder how long that rule will last?
  18. Our local county runs a very large free standing testing site at a local park. They can do over 275 rapid PCR tests each day. Recently they added a note to the booking site saying due to lack of federal funding they no longer accept the uninsured for testing. You must provide insurance and ID for testing. I noticed on my insurance billing site that they billed my healthcare company $300 for each test. No cost to us, and no impact on deductible, just cost the company a lot of money.
  19. We used to put up a cardboard "Helena the Hawaiian Woman". She had a lot of accessories that we would change each day to match the port. Sunscreen, beach bag, sunglasses, evening purse, wine glass, beer, margarita .... you get the idea. One day we came back from a Mexican port and someone had peeled off a label from a local beer, brought it back to the ship and added it to our door! We don't bother with this anymore, but it is always fun to see what others do!
  20. No matter who else is in your cabin, only the guest who is actually Diamond will receive the Diamond benefits. Non Diamond guests will not be allowed to accompany you to the Diamond lounge or get any of the coupons on their sea pass card.
  21. Why start your vacation with this added stress? Take the bus the day before and relax overnight in a hotel near the port. Think of the hotel as a financial swap since you are not having to pay for parking,
  22. 49 cruises and have only seen a priest on one. If your cruise stops at a port on a Sunday you could always attend mass at a local church. We know a couple who always does this.
  23. Here is a thought .... if RCI cannot secure enough staff to adequately provide the cruise experience people are paying for, then perhaps they should not be increasing their capacity until they can? Cruise prices are back to normal. You cannot sell a full price experience and expect people to just excuse major staffing issues. I totally understand WHY they are short staffed, but that is not the paying guests problem. Fill your ships to the level you have staff hired and give your guests the experience they expect.
  24. That happened to me last week. Booked Voyager for 8 nights in June 2023 and got a great price on a junior suite. Went back the next day and the price increased by $550. Went back the next day and kept getting the 'opps' message. By the following day cruises were showing and the prices were back to where I had booked.
  25. Just a reminder that to participate in Adventure Ocean your son must have already turned THREE years old by the first day of your cruise. Adventure Ocean is only available to cruisers who are three AND potty trained. If he is younger than three, you can pay to have him in the Royal Babies and Tots program. There is zero wiggle room on this.
