  1. I’m thrilled that there is a thalassotheraoy pool - something Celebrity Solstice and Edge class ships do not. Thank you for your info. Take care.
  2. Do they mean 48 hours before arriving in the port of the excursion or (8 hours before embarkation?????
  3. We are on Discovery 12/30 sailing, a cruise we’ve done many times as Southern Cal residents. Usually we only book one or two excursions , always one in Cabo. Since Michigan is playing in Rose Bowl we have cancelled our Cabo Excursion. We trust Princess will be showing the Rose Bowl!🤞🤞🤞. in lieu of excursions I have booked the thermal suite pass. I have never used the thermal suite on Princess but am very familiar with the Persian Garden on Celebrity. Any feed back you can provide on the Princess equivalent would be gratefully appreciated. . TIA!

  5. I’ve tried several times to book an available reservation on the App and when I press” confirm “it says error. I called Princess and they had the same problem- very frustrating!
  6. I’m on the 12/30 cruise and have been checking for reservations every day. I even called Princess - no possibilities available for pre booking so far. 🤞
  7. We’re on 4/27 cruise too. I’ve been looking for her schedule too. If it is 3 on 3 off we will not be sailing with her.🥲 She starts her vacation tomorrow- not on for the transatlantic.
  8. Remember Princess and HAL have the most permits into Glacier Bay. Celebrity has none. Ruby is a bit old. Try the newer Discovery or Majestic Princess or the Koningsdam.
  9. In addition to guests being tempted to and actually removing pre-paid gratuities from their accounts major considerations are: 1. This Celebrity move hopes to increase bookings exponentially before Oct. 4. 2. With their exorbitant “non refundable” deposits. this move will bring in lots of cash for them to hold onto for 2+ years and keep if cruises are cancelled or just hold onto if refundable. 3. As ships fill up prices will rise even more as they always do - supply and demand!!! 4. So this move hurts the staff, especially those behind the scenes, as guests will remove the auto gratuities and personally tip only the crew they interact with, causing a reduction in staff as they jump ship for other cruise lines, 5. As X increases bookings prior to Oct 4, it will gain tons of “non- refundable” cash for Celebrity to hold onto, present a lucrative opportunity to risise prices sooner as future bookings fill ships prematurely. Since Jan, 2023 Celebrity continues to hit its loyal guests again and again and again with continuing cut-backs, additional charges, increased prices, the stress of comparing what used to be as compared to what is - eventually muddying the waters so much that guests just give up and pay more for less, because the stress of tracking the changes and charges smother the happy anticipation of a future cruise with stress and disappointment!!!! Celebrity seeks to bring on new cruisers who will gladly accept what is because they have no experience or memory of what once was. I have cruised on 7 different cruise lines- in the past 10 years mainly with Celebrity. Sadly that will be changing. It is hard to support a company that has behaved so poorly this year. I love cruising as all of you do too. Instead of the joyful anticipation of my next cruise I’m anxious about the next negative, soon to appear change. I have booked 3 future Celebrity cruises, 1 Princess and 1 HAL. I will be definitely less loyal to Celebrity in the future.
  10. I miss that option too!!!! I miss better cuts of beef in general- Tournardos of beef, Beef Wellington.
  11. Cutbacks, cutbacks, up-charges, up charges, higher prices, higher prices, redeploying ships, vaping experiments! 2023- is the year Celebrity has damaged its brand!!! Very very sad to witness this!
  12. Every cruise line has its cheerleaders. I have cruised on 6 different cruise lines on 50+ cruises, Many comparisons are ship dependent. Every ship has offered a good experience. The newer ships are amazing. I tend to book newer ships- now mainly on Celebrity and Princess. I believe they both offer a worthwhile product and change is good once in awhile, For example other than recent cutbacks the Celebrity MDR menu hasn’t changed in several years. I have been on the Equinox and Silhouette once or twice every year except Covid shut down and menu has been the same. Also Production shows don’t change either. I’ve seen Topper too many times. So don’t be afraid to experience change once in awhile. If you want to see Glacier Bay you need to sail on Princess or HAL. They have the most permits into Glacier Bay. Celebrity has none. So we are so fortunate to be able to cruise!!!!’ Happy sailing,
  13. The Equinox is not completely revolutionized. Many of their veranda cabins still remain in original decor/ redfish carpet and accessories. Very disappointing!!!
  14. The Enchanted Princess has the most beautiful and active Piazza I have seen on any ship in over 50 cruises!
  15. No pools for children! Best way to preview a ship is You Tube tours. You learn a lot from various You Tube tours!
  16. As a parent and teacher I always told my “kids” - Keep your options open! IIMHO the same goes for cruising Do your research- Cruise Critic, You Tube etc., comparable itineraries on various cruise lines; then make an informed decision on what works for you. . Happy Cruising to all!
  17. The Emerald is an old ship. Compare Celebrity to the Enchanted or Discovery Princess. They have the most beautiful and lively Piazzas at sea. Rock Opera is one of the best production shows I’ve seen in over 50 cruises. I’ve sailed many times on 6 different cruise lines. They all have something good to offer. At present I cruise mainly on Celebrity and Princess. It’s good to have varied experiences and choices to make based on itinerary and cost. We are so fortunate to be able to cruise. Happy sailing!
  18. Sadly only 1 loyalty point in 2 months but at least the program is still alive!
  19. Ships are sailing full so I believe Celebrity will discontinue this opportunity to earn extra points.
  20. Not a good choice for teens. Beautiful ship, but outside of the”teen” club where there may only be a few other teens cruising at your time there is nothing for them to do. Pickle ball is almost exclusively played by adults at very limited times as that was the case on the Apex. If I were you I would stick with Royal- best for families.
  21. Yes, I agree. Also insurance dates and pricing are affected as well.
  22. Does anyone know for sure that we are being charged the same for 5 nights vs.4? I skis thought we were getting a $100.00/cabin on board credit?
  23. We are also on B2B 4/21now22 and 4/27. My TA managed to secure a cabin on 4/27 but not on 4/22. On the Ap it still says Refection but 5 night and we have a cabin different from 4/27 cruise. We have not received any pricing for the loss of one day. min addition our 11/24 Beyond Transatlantic was cancelled - nothing similar to rebook. Just wait and see. In all my years of cruising I don’t recall ever such a impactful redeployment. Good luck to all!
