  1. My old and new ones arrived the same day. I had to sign for each.
  2. From the airport you generally take a train to Amsterdam Centraal, the main railway station, and from there a tram if you need one. But there is another railway station between them that may be closer, so we need to know your hotel name or address to help you better.
  3. I would consider early March definitely too cold for comfortable cycling.
  4. If you highlight only a part of the posting and click the quote this, you only get what you have highlighted.
  5. I would have found jeans way too warm for the Mekong. Light slacks or capris would be way more comfortable.
  6. The picture looks to me like it is taken at Pearson Airport in Toronto. CIBC is the bank with concessions there. I have seen mounds of luggage there, but nothing quite like this!
  7. Is it just to login, (hopefully) or is it used as your screen name (I sincerely hope not)?
  8. Luxembourg may be an international airport but I don’t believe there are any trans-Atlantic flights to it, which likely means passport control in a European hub and a connecting flight to it.
  9. I was in Hanoi in October 2017 before a cruise on the AmaDara. I stayed at the Hanoi La Siesta hotel right in the heart of the old quarter. They were very friendly. When I asked about buying a SIM card for my phone someone went and picked one up for me and charged it to my room. They greeted me by name every time I came in. I did lots of different things in my 3 extra days. I did a street food tour by motorbike, and another Vintage Vespa tour. I went to the Vietnamese Women’s Museum. If your tour doesn’t go, I suggest doing a water puppet show. I also have an interest in ethnology, so I arranged a visit to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology for the day after my nighttime arrival, and found that I was too tired to appreciate it.
  10. The article that @Host Jazzbeau linked to above says that 2 of the dates are full charters; one on the Danube (that may be the one you were looking at) and one on the Douro. The others seem to be regular sailings, which I suppose is helpful if half of a couple wishes to cycle and the other does not.
  11. I would assume that marketing would be through Backroads, within their cycling trips.
  12. If it doesn't specifically say both ways, I'm sure that it is only one way. The stops are generally numbered.
  13. It was back in 2014, but I stayed at a B&B called Den Witten Leeuw, Walplein 27 on a quiet triangular square in the historic area. I found it very pleasant.
  14. The LCBO was considered, like groceries and pharmacies, an essential service.
  15. I have both watched the lock, and cruised through it. There is also a nice visitor centre here.
  16. To me the convenience of not trekking to Heathrow and dealing with a large airport would be worth the extra cost of flying from Southampton.
  17. You can't necessarily pay to select seats in advance. I am off on vacation soon (not a cruise) but using a group airfare. I can't do anything with it until it is time to check in.
  18. Most trans-Atlantic flights leave North America in the evening and arrive in London in the morning. There are some daylight flights, but they are in the minority.
  19. What it did say is take a train from Rotterdam to Leiden and then pick up the transportation from there. As to the location, CC considers The Netherlands in Western Europe (note that Amsterdam is listed), not Northern Europe. You posted in Northern Europe.
  20. Here is a thread from the British Isles/Western Europe forum (where this topic properly belongs) that discusses getting to Keukenhof from Rotterdam.
  21. Customs would have to clear the ship on the morning of arrival if anyone was to take an excursion that day, or even just to leave the ship, so it ought to be doable to leave..
  22. I assume that since we haven't heard from her that Mysty is without power. About 110,000 customers in Ontario are still without power this morning, as well as seemingly over 1 million in Quebec.
  23. The taste is different. Until a recent change, I found Coke Zero tasted more like Diet Pepsi, a little sharper and maybe less sweet than Diet Coke. Then they made a change and now I find Coke Zero undrinkable.
