  1. I know for absolute certain we will never ever book one of these. I don’t need to “try it”. I’m fully aware of our wants on vacation and that ain’t it.
  2. Thanks. I may have to look at another airline. If I take a later flight I’m 5 or 6 hours sitting at Seatac. That would suck.
  3. If your port before LA is San Diego do you think an 11:15 flight would be ok? I’m thinking there would be no need to clear customs in LA.
  4. Yes, we picked three dates that would work and got our third choice. The guy did seem to think they’d get more cabins to sell but it could take 24 hours.
  5. All booked. Deluxe veranda. We’re very happy.
  6. Celebrity only charges if you take it to a restaurant or bar. Not in cabin consumption.
  7. Use cruise air. I’ve already started looking for next year and Barcelona to Vancouver is around $600 Cdn pp
  8. Always do it and have done for years. The hold will just drop off if not used.
  9. That’s what I think I booked yesterday. Nowhere does it say non refundable on the confirmation. I put a hold on it, I’ll phone and confirm the non refundable part before making a deposit.
  10. I could have sworn I saw them yesterday. We went through all the locations in their private sale email.
  11. This is an interesting take seeing as most people are in a location for 1 day for up to 8 hours. How exactly should they plan to visit a spot on a tour when it’s less busy? You either go or don’t go when you have the restrictions of a cruise.
  12. US has one, Canada has one, Australia has one. Europe is just catching up.
  13. Yes, we would always tip on private shore excursions.
  14. The OP gave no indication they were talking about the Caribbean.
  15. We were in Port Douglas. Love it. Been three times on a land trip. I’ve always read that PD or Cairns are the best spots for the Reef. But unless you have a ton of time in port, you’ll likely have to do a cruise excursion which take you out to the pontoon or a reef a bit closer in.
  16. Holy cow. Via Dubai? That’s insane. Glad you were able to get it changed.
  17. Oh my. That’s some experience. Last trip was November 2019 but didn’t hit the reef that trip. I think it was September 2018 when we went out with Wavelength. We’re usually there September - November time frame. I’ve never ever seen fish or coral like it. Was like being in an aquarium. Super calm that day too.
  18. I think the only bucket list item that disappointed was Mont St Michel. Beautiful from a distance, tourist hell inside.
  19. When did you go? We’ve been to Port Douglas three times on a land trip. Snorkelling the GBR from there goes down as one of my best days ever. We were on a smaller boat that went to 3 different stops.
  20. Agreed. I’ve cancelled all cruises and feel safer with the deposits in my bank account. We have a month in Hawaii coming up this year. Next year, we’ll either stick to land trips or last minute cruises.
  21. Agreed. As Canadians we went to Vegas in March. Just drive across the border and flew out of a US airport rather than Canadian. No tests either direction.
  22. My original post asking how they planned to get to Bellingham was not addressed to you.
  23. I don’t need to look at anything. I asked what the plan was for making a 12:45 flight out of Bellingham.
  24. That’s why I’m asking. Super tight time frames to depending on a train that only runs twice a day and crossing an international border which could take hours.
