 Good Morning from a warm and sunny day at the beach

       I really enjoy this time of year. Weather is good, crowds are gone, life is good.

Didnt know wearing 2 different shoes had its own day. I actually did this once at work. Was hurrying, doing multiple things. Got to work and my co-worker said "i like the navy". I was embarrassed but we all had a good laugh.

    Gone with the Wind is one of my favorite books ( and movie). Have watched it several times.

      Busy weekend. All good.

      Called Luggage Forward yesterday to make arrangements for my luggage for the VOV. Was shocked at the rise in price. Still worth it for us.DH says there is a price for convenience.

    Sandi @StLouisCruisers  Congrats to Morgan. Enjoy the weekend with everyone.

    @Heartgrove  Safe travels to my neck of the woods. Have a wonderful cruise.

Good Morning from a sunny day at the beach

       We went to Alaska in 2001 on our first HAL cruise, the Statendam. Had been on other lines previously but first on HAL. Returned in 2014. Enjoyed Juneau although we had an incident on the Tram. Will never go on another because it scared me so much. I still have heart palpitations thinking of it. The best whale watch I ever did was in Juneau.

        @RMLincoln   Hope DH`s eye is doing better.

  Another busy day for me. Yesterday was nuts, topping it off with the AC tech saying we need a new unit! We asked for a 2nd opinion with the same result. 

     This AM i have a Doctors appointment.and then the library board meeting this afternoon, Budget! Cant wait LOL.

Good Afternoon from a very windy day at the beach

    It is hard to believe that it has been 5 years for the Daily. I remember reading it for awhile before I joined in. The greatest group of caring people that I have ever met. Hopefully some day I will meet up with one of you on a cruise.

     It is very windy here today, just like yesterday. I tried to do my walk but got sandblasted. Probably the same for today.

       @smitty34877  Take care of yourself. Glad you were able to get some help.

   Not much on my agenda today, most I have already done. I have a busy week so I may just relax this afternoon.

 Good Morning from a windy day at the beach

      Like others, I was unable to access CC from yesterday afternoon until now. Glad it is back!

      My dad taught us to save from quite young. Even my babysitting money at 25cents an hour, I would save a percentage. It was a great lesson, treat it like bill to be paid. Taught the same to my kids.  The recipe looks good, as we all like cauliflower and shrimp.

     We are scheduled to go to Greenland on the VOV this summer but not today's port.

      A very big shut out to @Gail & Marty sailing away for another successful Project Linus. Takes a lot of time, work and money to pull that off. Kudos to all who participated.

      Playing golf this afternoon.

       I love my hair stylist. He has been cutting my hair for almost 30 years. He is in Orlando but I still drive back to see him. He does DD`s hair too and is so patient with her.

      The meal suggestion sounds good. Will have to give it a try. Never been to todays port,but would like to. Thanks for the pictures.

      We went to trivia last nite. There were about 90 people there. Good range of questions and a good format. Limited to tables of 8. We won! The prize was a 9 hole round of golf each or a free drink. We had our choice. So of course I took the golf. DH did also and was told he could give it to me. Yeah! Our group of 8 have been playing together for about  years. 1 couple is heading north for the summer. So we were joking that we had to audition the replacements. All fun.

    Going to lunch today with 2 other board members to discuss the library budget for next year. It will be interesting. Hope at least the food is good! LOL.

     @smitty34877   Glad that your family is there to help. Not easy doing what you do day after day. I admire you and your family.

       Thank you all for yesterdays Birthday wishes. I had a great day with a few surprises. So much fun! 

      I think I am one of the few that does not like salmon. I really enjoy fish, but not that one. Think it goes back to when my mother made 'salmon and peas on the mountain " (mashed potatoes). Never been to todays port.

     @RMLincoln Hope DH gets a good report today. Safe travels.

       @JazzyV  Hope you had another good nights sleep.

   We are going to trivia tonight at the Country Club. They are just starting it and limiting tables to 8. It will be fun.

Good Morning from an overcast day at the beach

     Not sure what our weather will be today. They were way off on the forecast.

We were all Campfire girls but my nieces girls are Girl Scouts. My niece is the leader. I do salute Earth Day and try my best to protect our beautiful earth. I try not to use plastic but sometimes there is no choice. 

   I wish all who are observing a peaceful Passover.

    Love cole slaw.  Have never been to todays port.

      Dont know any Mandarin, I like fries plain. The meal sounds interesting but I prefer Scallops without anything. Had the best ones on Cape Cod last weekend. Have not been to todays port. 

     Played golf very early today. We were first off so it was great. Going to be a very warm day here - mid 90s next several days. The beach is already packed. The park is already full. 

      I was happy to see @kazu finally made it to Ft Lauderdale. Relax, enjoy and have a wonderful cruise.

      Animal crackers are great. Seems I had them in the car, purse for years.  Saw lots of monuments on my recent trip to Boston. My BIL and 3 cousins were all linemen for different companies. We were in Sydney on the Noordam in 2022.  My pictures are the same.

    @StLouisCruisers Thanks for stepping up to keep us going. Not an easy task but much appreciated.

     @kazu  So glad that you are able to go on your cruise. That is scary that it came from a pedicure ! Scary stuff!

       @Cruzin Terri   A Happy Birthday to Jim!  Thanks for posting the poem on Paul Reveres ride. I grew up in the town next to Lexington. They did the re enactment every year except this year. The Green was flooded. 

        W are going to take DD down to the beach in abit. Beautiful day and she enjoys it before it gets too warm.

     My grandparents and other relatives came thru Ellis Island from Ireland. They worked as maids for many years.

    Blah Blah day, thats interesting.

    I arrived home from Boston last nite. Wonderful visit with my family. The bride to be was totally surprised at her shower. She started crying when she saw me. Lots of laughs.  Those new babies are precious. My sisters new house on the Cape is beautiful. So a great time!

    @kazu  Really hope your foot improves and you can enjoy your cruise.
