Good Morning from a warming  and cloudy day at the beach

   Currently 70degrees but expected to go to 79 today. A few more days of warm before going back to the 60s. I know. Nothing to complain about.

    I do enjoy a good belly laugh and I laugh often. It is good for you. Dont like beer, so I really dont pay much attention to the cans.  Pets are a game changer. They certainly play a big role in our lives.

      Have not been to todays port. Wiould have liked to but probably not.

      Thank you all for the very warm welcome to our latest addition, Ryan Charles.  Mom and baby both doing well. She will be in the hospital for a few days but is OK. 

     @dfish  Congratulations to Sue on her new grandbaby.

       @Cruising-along A very Happy Birthday to you. May you enjoy many more.

       @aliaschief   Hope you get into Easter Island today.  

         @RMLincoln   Hope your DH is doing better today.

        Playing golf this afternoon. Have a meeting on Saturday regarding the tournament in March.  We will see how that goes.

        Well some really good news. My nephew ( who is also my Godson) and his wife welcomed a beautiful baby boy this AM. She was having a problem pregnancy and had trouble with their first delivery.  So we were all very concerned.  She was sent to Beth Israel in Boston and delivered a  10 pound, 10oz boy.  Yes that is not a typo! 

  His name is Ryan Charles. Charles is after my late brother . This would be his first Grandson. Cant post pictures until I have permission. He looks like he is ready to join the Team!

      It is currently 73 degrees. Perfec! Suppose to be warm for the next several days.

 I was taught to write via the Palmer method. Dont think I will be measuring my feet. Love Pies of all varieties. Have not been to todays port.

Good Morning from a sunny but cold day at the beach

        I dont own any sweatpants and only have 2 pair of sox to wear with golf shoes. Usually wear sandals. 

       @StLouisCruisers  Sandi, Thank you for the great pictures of Singapore. Brought back many memories. DH spent a lot of time there in his working years, even had an apartment in Clark Quay. I was only able to go once but it was wonderful. It is on our booked WC for 2025 and really looking forward to it. 

      Our weather remains cool and windy. Suppose to warm up to mid 80s by Wednesday.  Its an El Nino year and this is what we get!

Pictures from Kangaroo Island. We were there in 2022. We were quite late getting there and all morning excursions were cancelled. I was able to book an afternoon one , just because I wanted to see the island. Tendering was very slow and many passengers were not able to go.glad I went, it is a beautiful place

        Warm right now but rain and cold coming in tonite.  No fog like Ann @cat shepard is experiencing.

        I also didnt notice the date earlier. Was just looking for Tuesday.

        No dragons for me but hats off to publishers. I have a Kindle but still prefer a book in hand. No to hot and spicy. Some spice is ok.

     We have been to Tahiti twice , 2019 and 2022. First time we did a private tour with    Unique Tahiti" with Tracey. Great tour. 2nd time it was raining and we just walked around the downtown. Went to the Market which was fun. Totally not accessible so didnt get too far.

    I need to find a pair of comfortable walking shoes for the VOV. I am a flip flop girl and hardly ever wear shoes. But I think I will need something that is waterproof and comfortable. Any suggestions?

Good Morning from a cool, rainy and windy day at the beach.

     It is currently a very raw 61 degrees. I know, that is summer to most of you. Yesterday, shortly after posting, the sun came out, the sky was blue and warmed to mid 70`s. So we headed to the golf course and it was closed due to flooding ! Cant win!

      Csections are a wonderful thing. Many babies and their Mothers would not have survived without it. Many people were flying kites on the beach yesterday. The Kite surfers were out in force on the river.

       It is really too bad that the ships are unable to go into Fanning Island recently. It is really a unique place and I enjoyed it very much. 

     Funny story- my sister lives in Massachusetts. She was at Lowes buying potting soil, planters, etc, everyone else had shovels, salt etc. This guy looks at her and said what planet do you live on? LOL. She said the planet of make-believe!

 Good Morning from a rainy day at the beach

      It has been storming since the middle of the night. The rain is coming in bands, so dont know when it will end. I feel bad for all those cruisers out of Port Canaveral today, they and their luggage will be soaked!

     I agree with @MISTER 67 this winter has not been very pleasant. The one good thing is that the golf course has not been crazy. Usually packed this time of year! Not complaining after reading about the "frozen tundra". I have never experienced that type of cold, nor do I plan to.

    Please stay safe and warm to all of our Northern Dailylites.

    We were in Nuka Hiva in 2019 on the Eurodam. We took the 1 excursion around the island with all the locals. It was interesting. Pretty Island.

     Was scheduled to play golf this AM, but that didnt happen. So not much on agenda for today.

 We were there in Oct of 2022. We rented a car from Avis. They had a shuttle which picked us up at the port and brought us back. Not all the rental agencies have shuttles so be sure to check. It is abut 40-45 minute, easy drive.  Great day.

       Not saying anything about our temps after reading about what some of you are enduring!

       I never smoked. I was one of the few of my college class that didnt. I never liked the smell.  It was hard to avoid the smell in those days as people smoked everywhere.

      @StLouisCruisers  A very Happy Birthday to Ren! I feel like we all know him.

         @rafinmd   Glad your treatments are going well. Take care of yourself

          @MISTER 67   Thank you for your service to our country.  Also for the pictures!

      Still working on insurance or our trip. A necessary evil.

Good Morning from a bright and sunny day at the beach

    What a difference a day makes. It is cool, only 58 degrees but sunny. The ocean is calm and minimal damage. Mostly branches. The Christmas tree was blown over in the park, should have been down now anyway.  Our weather forecasters said because this is an EL Nino year, expect more of this. Hope everyone did ok.

      @kazu  Oh my, Jacqui. Glad you are not seriously hurt.  

   Now have to go drag everything back out again.

Our Tornado warnings have all been lifted. We had some pretty strong winds and heavy rain. Still raining. In the middle of it all, a MSC ship left Pt Canaveral. They had a very rocky ride.  I think there are some branches down but cant really see in the dark and we are not going out there!

Ann, yes  we just pulled everything in and storm shutters are down. Crazy weather. Ocean is wild!

Glad you are ok.   We have a little bit more to go.

I wondered if you heard the rocket that launched from Kennedy Space Center this morning?  It's headed to the moon!

 Oh we heard it alright! Did not go out to see it. We also had a launch on Sunday evening which we did watch. The technology is amazing!  All those Starlink satellites are  giving us all better internet connections on our cruises.

     No divorce and no bubble bath but would like a nice argyle sweater.   

    We were in Napier in 2022. Nice town, my pictures are very similar to Sandi`s. Unfortunately we had a not so nice experience there. The shuttles to the ship were a red hot mess. Then one of the bus drivers refused to allow my DD and another passenger in a  wheelchair on the bus. He made some very derogatory statements' about people in wheelchairs. The other passenger were appalled and it was nasty. They put us and the other passenger on the Princess shuttle. I was very upset. The Cruise director and Shore Excursion manager came to see us. Other passengers reported the incident. I wont let one individual  ruin my vision of the town.

     Pretty quiet around post Holiday. Have to take DH for a CT this AM. Nothing else on agenda. Although I do have to start researching some insurance for the VOV.

      We enjoy trivia except for Pop culture. I wonder if that includes Pop Music. The meal suggestion looks good.

     @grapau27 Graham , thanks for the description of our days. Very informative. 

      Had a few extra people show up yesterday to take down all the library decorations. Went well and done for another year. 

      So many of our group off on wonderful cruises!  So exciting. I have to wait until July for the VOV. Worth waiting for I think.

     Scheduled to play golf this afternoon. Looks iffy at present. Hopefully....
