  1. Yes, hotel address. You will need to fill out this form (or adjust) because of the "re-entry" after Korea.
  2. I put the total number of days from arriving to departing (by plane). Be aware that you will ALSO need to do this again and again since you will be exiting Japan twice. I know, You will get papers telling you how to do it again and again.
  3. At the restart, it was the inability to hire: Expired visas, got other jobs, couldn't travel, etc. Now, Not sure if they are fully staffed. I haven't had any issues, except that staff is overburdened with the new app making them run all over the place.
  4. And this is why I avoid the hot tubs. Let your imagination fill in the rest.
  5. Would you cite “greatly disappointed “? What didn’t the staff and crew do? When/where? Glad you will not let one voyage stop you from cruising with Princess. I’m sure everyone has had a non stellar experience on one ship. I know I did on NCL.
  6. My guess is the demand is there (by passengers), but Princess would see right through our reasonings. Maybe a cap of x number of cabins per category/per voyage. Bet they would have a lot of takers.
  7. It really is too bad that Cruise Critic does not allow sharing of TAs. I would not even consider using a Princess agent. Been there, done that. With current technology, it is so simple to work with my agent. I have never met her face to face, but we are in constant contact. At least we live in the same state. HaHa. She is more than my TA, she is a friend.
  8. I did not see a shortage of crew on the Emerald. But then again, I didn't use the bar/app. It did take 24 hours to change out the min-bar, but other than that, I did not see any issues with a lack of staff. And where did you hear that the Grand Princess was leaving the fleet in 2025? That saddens me immensely.
  9. Thank you for thinking of me. Yes, I would love it. But not interested in flying up to Alaska this year.
  10. Is your computer capable of filling out the form without printing it out? Then save it as a pdf. Add it as an attachment. DO NOT include it in the main part of the email. The transfer form needs to be on one page. If it is the body of the email, it will be cut off and Princess will not accept it. Email it back to Princess and CC your travel agent. It should take a couple of days (if that long) for your TA to be able to pick up the booking.
  11. I would even "relinquish" my double (2x) cruise credit for sailing solo without a single supplement.
  12. I will bet my bottom dollar they won't be on cruises that start on the West Coast.
  13. They CAN make it right and should. But it shouldn't be this difficult. I hope they find you a suite for the same price you paid for your balcony.
  14. My over-worked room steward was responsible for aft cabins...on both starboard and port sides of the ship. If I needed something, I would leave him a note or hand it to the "other" guy who placed it on his cart or looked for him. There were a couple of times, I hunted him down myself. I always request more wash clothes and are given them. I had to request onboard (even if it was on my folio) for robes. They are in the wash on turn around days and usually show up the next day. Heard from someone on board the following cruise to Hawaii, that this particular cruise (5 days to Cabo/Holiday weekend) was really extra tough on the crew. Had a choice between your cruise and a tamer one to San Francisco. Glad I went a week earlier.
  15. It's about time Princess stops penalizing solo sailers/sailors. We can always wish...
  16. Did you also order a shower stool? The shower is very small. With the shower head, it is manageable. Just be really careful.
  17. I just got off the Emerald Princess. I would give that ship a shot (local/coastal/Hawaii) this summer. I will choose a Grand/GEM Class ship over a Royal Class ship any day. It comes down to what is important to you. For me, it's the crew. Haven't had a bad crew experience since the restart. I don't need all the fancy bells and whistles. Do feel like Princess's step child when it comes to entertainment though. Wish they would "invest" in upgrades to their production shows.
  18. I had requested a hand held shower head on the Medallion app pre-cruise (Emerald Princess). None when I boarded. Quickly went to Crew Chat. The shower head was changed out before dinner. Sure hope you get the same service on the Crown.
  19. Yes, they did give a warning before the February 20th increase from $50 to $60 plus. I had enough time to prepay an October cruise. Of course, my $50 Princess Plus package will not include the "delicious" over priced $12 sundaes/cakes nor will I be allowed to participate in their "included" 2 gym classes a day. But I thought it was worth "saving" the extra $10 a day for a longer cruise. Will I. pay the $60? probably not. Will I pay any further increase? I don't think so. I so wanted to receive my medallion for free that I paid ahead.
  20. I haven't done my own laundry in years. But do bring some laundry sheets for my sister. And a sample packet of ALL for hand laundry. AND...dishwashing soap (same idea as the laundry sheets) for those room service items I want to wash/keep or my water bottle.
  21. Used it on the Emerald and food was delivered on time. But I found it just as quick to order it by phone and had it delivered right away. Be sure to specify quantity. I thought I did (2 of this...) but sometimes got 2 of everything. Fruit was limited to orange wedges, melon, and/or banana.
  22. Still negative, but a friend that was on the Hawaii cruise before ours...tested positive for Covid on the way back from the islands and quarantined in her cabin. Both tested positive. They avoided covid during the pandemic and thought it would be safe to start cruising again. It's not over yet, but hope you are recovering.
  23. I could be all wrong, but I sense the general consensus (disappointment) is that Padgett is here to stay.
  24. Would someone please create a diagram? I am a visual learner. It looks like Padgett is still head of Princess.
  25. 2 pieces of tuna sushi was $5 a plate. Restaurant opened at night and on sea days. Much fresher sushi and sashimi at every port.
