  1. Have. you considered doing a suite instead of a package if you like being treated like first class? Suite gratuities = $18/day Complimentary first night dinner Suite breakfast in a specialty restaurant every morning (you can get your expresso here) Club Class dining in MDR section (sea day lunch/every dinner) Complimentary minibar set up Express same day laundry Cabin is about twice the size of a regular cabin. Concierge Lounge on Royal Class ships Thermal Suites on some Grand Class ships Elite/Suite/Platinum lounge cocktails. and/or still purchase only Plus Beverage package (without the extras).
  2. I am not sure about a couple of your numbers: Medallion shipped to your home prior to cruise only cost $10/one time fee for everyone. Medallion Accessories are not part of the package. I am guessing you aren't Platinum or Elite to get your 50% off your Medallion Net. Specialty desserts are $12 to $14 ach. You did get the seating correct. Maybe 3 production shows for a 10 day cruise. Glad you did your number crunches to satisfy your reason for upgrading to Premier Package. More people need to do their homework before getting on a cruise.
  3. Math teacher back. Each specialty ice cream dessert is valued at $12 to $14 (booze bottle). Say you get one per cruise; one and done. That "gives" Princess a net savings of $156 {(14 - 1) x $12} for the rest of the days you don't get the dessert. $156 per person per 7 day cruise and this is being generous that EVERY beverage package passenger will try it out once. Don't like those numbers? How about this: Princess increased the cost of the beverage package by $20 to accommodate for the dessert and gym. I don't want the dessert and gym but must pay $140 extra for this "privilege". BINGO....Princess is netting $140 from me ... but they offered it to me. Did you hear of the story about the old lady who was charge a resort fee??? I got to look up that story. Someday...
  4. 1:56 PM and embarkation countdown has begun. 10 - 9 - 8 ..... "Welcome about the Love Boat"
  5. Are you thinking about the forward Retreat Pool for adults only (sometimes)? That is open to everyone but rarely used.
  6. @cavecreekguyHow long did you stand in line to ask your questions and then say no thank you? gelato? I thought it was ice cream?
  7. Here's the doc spin on the desserts. Look at the lines. Everyone wants one or two. From the perspective of the passengers. 1. One and done (for this cruise) 2. One and done for the rest of my life 3. Sure, I'll stand in a 30 minute line for my dessert every day, I paid for it. 4. Sure, I'll stand in a 30 minute line for my dessert every day, twice a day, I paid for it. 5. Not interested
  8. Welcome to Princess. You and many others have been confused by Princess. Now that they have renamed Club Class mini suites to Reserve Collection mini suites, it compounds the problem. Neither ClubClub not Reserve Collection are full suites. They are an enhanced balcony with more square footage (living room sitting area). The only thing they have in common is the Club Class main dining room experience. There is a separated dining area within the MDR, usually on Deck 6. They have absolutely no suite perks. You would need to book a full suite in order to have the special perks. This includes a one time set up minibar, suite breakfast, express free laundry, 2 bottles of water daily, and a few other perks that you can see on the website. I believe the only suite with really special areas is the Sky Suite on the Sky Princess. There will be some new reserved areas on Princess’ new ship, the Sun Princess. Nothing confirmed yet. Some ships have a thermal suite for full suite guests. That varies greatly from ship to ship.

  10. She’s back, dockside side terminal 91/92. @arctickittyHappy to see you arrived safely. Have a safe flight home. I hope that your flights home run smoother than the ones getting to the ship a few weeks ago.
  11. If you booked through EZ air or have Princess Insurance.
  12. I was thinking that too... Not that I drink the mini bottles...but then again. Let's take an unscientific poll: 1. Princess will keep the desserts 2. Princess will get rid of the desserts, but still charge you $60 for plus and $80 for premier plus grat. 3. Princess will get rid of the desserts AND reduce the price of the beverage packages. How long will it take Princess to realize they made a mistake? Of course, you know this is rhetorical...............
  13. Have not received confirmation from my "source", but you should have a fun surprise upon embarkation. Sorry for the delayed embarkation. (Crown has not left Ensenada yet).
  14. I hope you have enough time to go around this system. https://www.passageweather.com
  15. Mahalo Nui Loa for taking us along on your journey. I have really enjoyed your posts and looked forward to something new every day. I will miss your delightful writing style. Did you end up with the hula or ukulele for the Aloha Oe show?
  16. Better than the Journey View is the Ocean Concierge version. crown.princess.com Once you are on board.
  17. What a clever idea. I am surprised to hear about no outlet near bed. How are the lamps plugged in? You are very resourceful. Isn't there a European outlet near the desk? ALL Apple products are dual voltage. So are most medical devices.
  18. There should be a European outlet under the bed or near the bed table/lamps. You will need an adapter that includes....a outlet for the European lamp plug AND your US CPAP plug. Lots of choices on Amazon. Mine is outdated so don't have a sample. Someone else will provide a link (I'm sure).
  19. OBC on your folio will roll over to the next cruise. Bank in Casino WILL NOT. You will need to cash it out by the last night (there are a few times you have to do it earlier/port dependent). Then reopen another casino account and start over.
  20. @travelin.sisters Now I know why I am so drawn to you...we think so much alike...I returned from a trip "home" (Hawaii), then turned around and flew to Washington State over the holidays (had to change wardrobes). When I returned back to "the other house", I unpacked, but began the packing for my next cruise. Although it was several months away...it never hurts to plan ahead. I make a few lists, but I do sort by boxes. Suitcases do not sit idle very long. You can never pack enough for a cruise in case of "what ifs". There are sometimes....you only can take 1 piece of luggage. That is when creativity is at it's best. Dual function this and thats.
  21. Tyra Banks? Models compete. Never watched it. https://www.bravotv.com/project-runway/bravocon-2022/project-runway-season-20-all-star-season-details
  22. Welcome to beautiful Ensenada. What a nice day. It should be an interesting ride back to San Pedro. Are you still able to do your excursion?
  23. A crew member messaged me that the Crown docked long enough early this morning to pick them up (change of shift). It's pretty windy where I am. My friend in Temecula (San Diego) said that there was thunder, heavy rain, and lightning alerts. You should have some pretty awesome views on the way up. So much excitement. Now, photos of project runway please.
  24. I jumped the gun on your departure. And was rightly corrected by many. Only goes to show that you have very loyal and loving fans. Have a terrific voyage over and back. You missed a brutal winter!
  25. @wowzz, I must pick popular cruises (mostly off season). I have never seen a drop or had a reason to re-fare. Could also be because my stateroom category is usually sold out. The majority of my cruises are booked within the first week they open. Location, location, location.
