  1. Please contact me… princess user name no spaces a t g mail mahalo……
  2. Each exchange is bottle for bottle. For example, if you exchanged all of your mini bar, you would get 20 waters. That would equal +/- $11.66. Hardly worth it. Someone actually priced out the mini bar to be around $75. I had 4 mini bars on a b2b, with the Plus beverage package, and 2 bottles of waters delivered every night. Most of it went the the crew. I enjoyed a few cans of orange soda and Coke, a beer, and some fizzy water in the suite. But that was when Plus was at $40. Well worth it even if I didn’t break even.
  3. I have a crew friend that will be joining the ship in Ensenada. He will shadow the (management) person he is replacing until San Pedro. I am guessing there will be a good turnover since it is sort of a change … end of Hawaii season for the crown. Even @Elua is disembarking.
  4. I hope you did a "refer a friend" program. Embarkation lunch When I took my sister on her first Princess cruise, I started with the Lido Deck forward to aft. Settled in for a nice drink for sail away. Then we hit Elite/Suite/Platinum happy hour. I slowly introduced the Piazza on the way to dinner. Didn't want to overwhelm her with too many locations. Saved Deck 7 for another day. Find a sea day to enjoy Tea Time. Be sure to point out bathroom locations on all public decks.
  5. I remember those doc days. It was so exciting. Convenience sometimes is not as fulfilling as nostalgia. Us oldies want to hold on to memories. Sometimes, that's all we will have left.
  6. The Crown Princess will embark in San Pedro (Los Angeles). You should be directed to the priority check in lines. There is a separate room for Elite and Suite passengers with beverages and pastries. They will be the first to board after intransit passengers are able to return to the ship. Platinum members usually have a section of seats in the lobby (apart from the general public). They will be invited to board after in-transit, elite/suites. Club Class Mini, Platinum. public. Have you tried to pick a boarding time? As many have said, no one looks. Boarding usually begins between 11 and 11:30.
  7. Princess does not always coordinate suite benefits and class of ships. On the Grand Class Ships, you have access to the Thermal Suites, if your ship has them. Best as I can describe: If available. Then they added the Enclave but not as part of the suite perks and called it the Thermal Suites. What is consistent: Thermal Suites and Enclave are not part of the Sanctuary. More gibberish from Princess.
  8. Part of my problem is that the black numbers and words do not nicely fit in the "boxes". Is this another IT "glitch?
  9. That's because food ads use things like mashed potatoes and other things that don't melt under the camera lights. Really interesting to see how they actually stage these photo shoots.
  10. I second the motion to arrive the night before. After a very long and sleepless night, I can't imagine rushing to get on a bus and travel another 2-3 hours to your port. You will need to also go through customs and immigrations before you even step out of the airport. You did not mention what time your plane arrives. I would reconsider this time line.
  11. The big question is: Did you make final payment? Is your deposit refundable? Often times, the new lower fare is for "new bookings only". Would it be worth the fare drop to lose everything (promotional perks)? More information is needed to give you comments.
  12. hmmmmm. If memory serves me…(not counting on that). Let me see if I can set up a visual. Next time you are in the theater. Exit through house right/stage left/starboard side of the ship. From Deck 7, walk down the stairs leading to the lower level. Do not go all the way down. Use deck 6 stairs to exit theater (I think the Crown has a set of stairs). They should be by the special balcony seats. When you get down to the bottom of the stairs, you will pass the Cruise Director’s hidden door on your left. In front of you, there should be a small 2 foot counter people leave their drinks on. Above that shelf should be the display case (not computer display). Then you exit through the double doors to the conference center lobby. This might be easier.. Starboard side of ship. Deck 6 Pass women's bathroom on right. Enter conference center lobby. Go through double doors that enter the theater. Most often, these doors are closed until 30 -60 minutes prior to a performance. Open doors…walk through…display case is above a small counter.
  13. Am I missing something or is it only the Discovery that is having internet issues. You don't here Diamond, Crown, Royal, Emerald (all doing Pacific Ocean) complaining.
  14. I wonder how the bean counters sleep at night? How does the staff know who paid what when? Poor bar keeper. Poor coffee barista. Poor Internet Manager. Poor Customer Service Agent. This is truly a nightmare. Make sure you bring your printed sales receipts with you.
  15. This will not bode well for the Japanese when the Diamond Princess starts their run in Japan. Can you imagine telling the Japanese passengers that they will not be allowed to purchase a coffee card for tea?
  16. Yes, that is correct. In order to have access to the pullman bed with a ladder (bed comes down from the ceiling), the the beds on the floor have to be in twin configuration.
  17. Thanks for the warning. That’s what I was going to do. Guess I will contact my TA in the morning.
  18. Princess transfers are independent of EZ Air. EZ Air is a third party consolidation booking company. Princess operates transfers. You can use the transfer, but they have to be booked and paid for. Did you book your Copenhagen hotel through Princess? I have never heard (not saying it doesn’t happen) of a Precess agent getting you a taxi. I have heard of people who self booked a hotel that Princess uses AND was allowed to get on the Paid transfer, room permitted. All I am trying to clarify is that transfers have nothing to do with EZ Air.
  19. Just watched a youtube video about a flight on Japan Airlines. They offer wi-fi in the air. $10 something for one hour. I stopped looking at the rate after that. Don't know if it is 60 minutes at one time or over the length of the flight. There are disclaimers about using a satellite connection. Guess Princess is a "bargain".
  20. I believe you still need to order/book/reserve a transfer independent of EZ Air flight. It is only included if you have a hotel booked. Same with disembarkation. If you use EZ AIr for return, you need to pre-book (Credit Card) or book onboard (OBC) a transfer.
  21. Oh, I see the problem. You have to cancel 3 days prior to cruise (not enough lead time). Difference in price might be added costs for insurance/taxes/fees pre-cruise. I will be surprised if Customer Service will modify your order. They already have your money, even though you have their moneys (OBC).
  22. @arctickittyAt times in the shows they announce the names of the singers and I’ve tried to remember them but haven’t retained much. You can find a introduction board on Deck 6/Starboard side, near the entrance to the theater. It will have head shots and names of the principle singers.
  23. @EluaWill check in soon (I'm guessing). I believe they are leaving after the Crown returns this week. The Crown will then do some funky voyages. They will be on two summer voyages (maybe July and August). Hang 10 🏄🏾‍♂️ until you hear from David.
  24. Long Beach? Princess transfers are only offered from San Pedro (Los Angeles World Cruise Terminal) to LAX. You will need a taxi, UBER, or other shared ride services to SNA (Santa Ana/John Wayne) or (LGB) Long Beach.
