  1. It was supposed to be on the Diamond P but was scratched for technical reasons when I sailed her in March 2024. One of the few shows I haven’t seen yet. Quite the disappointment.
  2. I can't believe it's taken me three pages before I "found" you. Nice fact finding short cruise.
  3. October2023, on the Caribbean Princess (in a suite/elite???) I received eye masks, lip balm, shower cap, and emory board.
  4. A bed rail can be ordered through the old app. Not sure where on the new app. Along with a raised toilet seat Hand held shower heads in non-accessible cabins and shower stools
  5. *** Onboard consultant will not touch a booking held by a TA. If you refare in order to apply FCD (for OBC) you will run the risk of losing any promotions and/or “the right price”.
  6. In most locations, there is still a priority waiting area where you will board earlier than general embarkation. True, Princess has given up priority check in. There is no more free WiFi minutes, but I prefer the 50% discount for unlimited WiFi. No more worries about forgetting to log off. Princess did away with the coffee “card” altogether. Not just for elites, I agree, this was a terrible move. I have used…once…the 10% OBC for an excursion. That was nice.
  7. Some ships have suite breakfast on disembarkation day. Caribbean P did/Grand did not.
  8. You are not limited to what's on the menu. You may "request" almost anything, within reason (no lobster). When breakfast steak is offered in the MDR, I request it for suite breakfast. Haven't asked for crab/avocado omelette in a long time. Friend pre-ordered some Texas style breakfast...
  9. Which ship? GrandGem class or Royal class? Mini-suites (not even close to a suite) has a bathtub/shower combo. Is the teen over 16? for their own/shared interior?
  10. I don’t see why you can’t take your luggage on the ferry to Manhattan, then take a taxi to your hotel. Red Hook Ferry is just a stone’s throw from the cruise port. There is a ticket machine (credit card or cash). No senior discount:($9), I think. They have a schedule but not as accurate as I would have thought. Although I was “early” for the 10 AM ferry, we either missed it or…next one would be 11 AM. Then one showed up at 10:30 ish. Never figured it out. Someone said they sent another one (because the cruise ship was in port ???). Much more to see and do in the city than Brooklyn. Airports are difficult to get to from either location.
  11. Neither does the NCL Pride of America ( no gambling and no BINGO) while in Hawaiian waters.
  12. You may bring on more bottles of wine but will be charged a corkage fee of either $15 or $20 per bottle.
  13. Dear “wallflower”, Your review is charming and refreshing. I look forward to more posts. For being a lurker, your photos are exquisitely displayed with comments and white spaces. More over, I appreciate your command of paragraphing and writing style. Wishing you more cruises in your future so we can have more reviews.
  14. Yes, if you cancel before penalty dates, both will be cancelled. May also cancel flight after final payment but before 45 days for EZ Air.
  15. You may bring one bottle of wine per adult passenger. You may bring a case(s) of soda or water in cans. No bottles. Spirits and beer are not allowed to be carried on board. I’ve had miniature bottles of liquor from previous cruises confiscated.
  16. This “promotion” has been around for over a year and yet no one has posted yay or nay about it. HMMMMM
  17. Faster than I could locate, edit photo, and attach!
  18. No laundry package or specials. Each individual item has its own price.
  19. Every port will have wheel chair assistance. It’s a matter of time and waiting for one to become available. At least one person should keep her company. There will be crew waiting at ship or at curb side to help her. There is a lot of walking and level changes at Canada Place.
  20. Thank you for the correction. The Red Hook ferry will run every half hour until 10 AM…then it is every hour until the afternoon. But I am guessing (I wasn’t correct before) that the OP is asking about getting to the airport after the cruise. Best to take a Princess transfer.
  21. it is unlikely you will disembark in New York if you begin your cruise in Fort Lauderdale. That would be a violation of the PVSA. Passengers may not embark in one U S city and disembark is a different U S city unless the ship visits a far away/distant port. Are you booked on a back to back?
  22. I will look into to the loyalty option with HAL. Thank you. I have sailed on Carnival several times. Been there, dine that. Not again, unless…..
