  1. I think it will be quite a challange for other cruise lines to do a technically worse job AND be more disrespectful of their customers, than Princess. Princess set a really low bar for these other cruise lines to limbo under... Cue the steel drrums, and Buster Poindexter.
  2. Of course, collecting user feedback is the first step. Applying user feedback seems to be where princess fails. I recall a few months ago there was a thread here -- ask princess marketing a question. (I actually think this was purchased advertising, but that is only my opinion.) There was a thread with hundreds of questions. At the end, someone from princess showed up, and gave a half-hearted reply to ... maybe ... a dozen questions. Although this sounds pretty dismal, in my opinion, it is better than princess' response to feedback.
  3. No need to give out a free cruise to get app feedback. There is plenty of feedback here for free. The problem for princess isn't actually getting feedback, it's hiring people competent enough to fix the problems. Might be time to dump Accenture...
  4. Who is this guy "Pax Cabin", and why is his name always on my phone ?
  5. I was going to reply the same, but I knew that would cause the poster to bash me. It would be a big security hole if the picture were on the medallion, or card. A clever passenger could change it to whatever they would like.

  7. I was making toast in the lido of some princess ships, so I was waiting for it to go through the toaster. Two ladies are going through the line near me. One says: There are those muffins my mom really likes. I always take her a bag of those when I go home. Maybe she was part of the marmalade couple.
  8. It's ok when people tell me the same story night after night. One granny we sat with: "My son is a doctor, and he paid for the cruise." ...that was OK. But, she took all the breadsticks ... which is a clear violation of maritime law. This was a holiday cruise. After 10 nights with her, I completely understood buying her a cruise ticket as a self-serving escape!
  9. In the old days, the elevators used to announce the decks. The names gave them something to say. But, that is long gone. "Mind the doors!!!"
  10. Back in the old days, when one had to dine with strangers... We sat with a delightful couple ... Gene and Marty. Marty told us one story about how they were on some cruise, and a waiter had tried to kill himself by jumping overboard. She was still annoyed that their next port arrival was delayed because because the ship had to turn back, and search for the waiter. (I just wanted to appropriately set the delightfullness) It was a 14 day cruise. Every night at dinner, she was say something about the patter, and then say: "Gene always calls it the pitter patter". For 14 freakin' dinners. OK. We got it. Gene is the most clever guy on the planet. Thank god forced dining with strangers is gone.
  11. Princess is so inconsistent, the name probably varies by cabin...
  12. 7:30 "A night to remember" Is that about Titanic?
  13. Will there be corned beef and cabbage?" Better stay out of the elevators for a day or two...
  14. When Princess announced the best internet at sea ... it was simply not possible, as they were using the same provider as Royal Caribbean. How can princess have the best internet at sea with Starlink, if other cruiselines are using the same? It's advertisting, not a fact. Like "Best Buy"...
  15. I'm surprised cruise critic doesn't sell a line of medallion accessories, with their logo on it. They could design them for each cruise line. I should be employee of the month, now!
  16. That make sense, as that is how they use to prepare cruise cards for the next cruise ... they were printed on board. It probably doesn't matter for cruises departing from US ports, but it could be a huge problem if they tried to ship a ship's worth of medallions to some international port. Imagine if they got stuck in customs!?!?
  17. Wasn't that what the guys screamed in some beer commercial?
  18. When Grand Princess entered service in 1997... On the wall behind the casino bar, there was a Florida State Sales Tax license. Since then, they've moved the casino, so who knows now...
  19. Forgo the pacemaker, so you can safely use the princess medallion?
  20. This is a dilemma for many posters here. Outrage over the price. vs. Disappointment over the speed.
  21. That would just be one more way for princess to disappoint you. You make a selection, and they ignore it.

  23. Just tell them: Use the source, Luke...
  24. My experience has been ... they either page the steward, or send someone with a key. We were locked out once ... we had the key card, but the door and jamb mechanism became lose and would't disengage with the key. They sent someone with a screwdriver.
