A few years ago, Princess was promoting a menu called "North to Alaska" ... which was locally sourced, fresh fish. It was in one of the speciality restuarants, and, at the time, I don't think there was an upcharge. It was really good, so we want back a second time during the cruise. There was a 'Chef de Cuisine' who was in charge of Sabatini's and Crown Grill. He was telling me that the red river salmon are the best because the river has the strongest flow, and the fish have to swim harder, which makes them taste better. I don't know if it was true, but the salmon was great.

It's hard to tell the players without a program. In the evening, Supervisors are often dressed the same as headwaiters. Once, I was ready to call Guiness, when I thought I saw a female Headwaiter. But, someone set me straight ... she was a supervisor. There is rumored to be at least one female headwaiter. And, with regard to the above list ... I think there was some change to Jr. Waiter. But, I don't remember the details. And, at the very bottom is "Buffet Steward" And, sometimes in the dining room, there is 'runner'. But, I don't think that is there actual title.

That would be awesome if they had that working on princess cays. I remember being on a cruise where PC was the day before Ft. Lauderdale. On my statement, I noticed a drink charge on the island, that wasn't mine. I went to the desk ... and the poor JAP went in the back, and came out with a stack of receipts about 8" tall, and started going through them. I felt so bad. I told her, I'll just pay for the drink so you don't have to do this. She said if she didn't do it for me, she'd be doing it for the next person in line. And, for the hyper-sensitive politically correct ... JAP == Junior Assistant Purser.

I thought originally, princess had announced that there would be some preferred vendors (off the ship) where you could use the medallion. Wildly unlikely that princess could ever get something like that working, so your statement is completely true! I guess I will have to use travelers checks whenever I want to buy tanzanite...

In the 'old' days, on some cruise lines ... like carnival ... they had a program where they would match you up with another single. We went on a cruise on carnival, with a couple couples, and one single guy. He was in the match program, but at the last minute, they didn't pair him with anyone. (which, after knowing him, I completely get) And, it was really the last minute. They were waiting to pair him up, and they didn't give him a cabin until we were at sea.

For car use, I suggest something like this: Also handy in the supermarket to reach the very last one of something at the back of an out-of-reach shelf. A lot of use during the pandemic!

You posted "lost leader" The actual phrase is "loss leader" If you're a "very smart businessman" as you claim, I wouldn't expect you to make such a mistake. I hope that is succinct enough for your smart business mind.

My understanding is that crab fishing has been nearly shutdown, leading to the crazy prices. At Publix. Hurry, ends today! I like lobster, but personally, I don't find cruise ship lobster worth bothering with.

A reasonable response might be to upgrade the grand class ships. They did some of that once, when they changed the layout all the way aft where they typically have deserts. They could certainly better utilize "Cafe Carib" rather than have simply duplicate the horizon court line.

Princess doesn't have to block the app to prevent blocking crew from using it. They simply remove the crew SSID from the WiFi access points in passenger spaces. My personal experience has been: far more crew use viber.
