If the lounge is so crowded during happy hour, and we are given our vouchers, why don't people use them elsewhere and relax elsewhere? Is it the appetizers? If weather is crappy, I can see going there for a place to sit other than one's room. My question is solely for the evening hours during happy hour.

Which is why I noted probably not during the happy hours. And why I asked is it really relaxing being that crowded supposedly?

I did this on the Vision, Symphony and Radiance. I think the Grandeur as well because the suite lounge one was not working one day.

Understand. But from what is being posted, how relaxing can it be if it's crowded? I am just curious. If relaxing in a lounge is the object, why not go to other lounges where there's a bar? We have done that before up on the lounge next to the Diamond clubs. I am guessing that this is during the happy hour when the snacks are served?

I did it. Yes it was crowded especially since everyone had to wear lifejackets. Snorkeling was ok. Sharks were pretty cool. Caye Caulker was nice. Company was pretty good. I would not repeat as we hate lifejackets when Snorkeling although you were allowed to put on your hand or foot.

I'm a bit confused. Why are you posting this on cc? I highly doubt this is a true story. Travel Patti is Hungarian? How did they get on plane (arrived usually not always means plane)with a Hungarian passport and not noticed? If they did come by car, why not drive back and get correct passport!

I agree with you about the coffee voucher but imagine the line!!! It is my only reason to go into the lounge. As an aside, I spent 10 days last month in the YC on MSC Divina and the bartender would hand me my coffee when I finished at the gym and came into the Top Sail Lounge. For half the price of an inside on the Icon. Point is there are other options if Royal continues to cut corners for loyalty. It was the 1st time in 34 cruises I was very sad to leave a ship.

Rent a car and do it yourself.

Option 1 and 4. Is this a ship excursion? Are you novice to snorkeling and uncomfortable in deep water ocean? If you are comfortable and have snorkeled before, I suggest looking for a smaller group using the cozumel tourism site. If on Viator, same thing.

I have rented cars in Aruba every time we go. You have to narrow down what exactly you want to do if you want to snorkel and explore. My personal favorites are Philips, the natural bridge and ostrich farm is in that area. We use a portable cooler and our 3 lb tent. We have snorkeled everywhere but baby beach (saving that for next April). We stock up snacks and drinks at a convenience store. Donkey sanctuary is good although not as good as Bonaires. We usually pick 2 landmarks and a snorkeling stop. This way you don't feel rushed.

Congratulations! If I were you I would start watching YouTube videos of the YC and Fantastica and see what you would have had and what you now have.

I'd rather cruise with someone who is wearing shorts and a polo to dinner then judgemental a.hs. who probably look more offensive stuffing their ample proportions into so called evening wear. I notice poor behavior, loud cackling, bragging blowhards far more then the length of a pair of shorts.

On the social media site that must never be named, a poster claimed that the YC area on Ocean Cay was going to be relocated during the "refit" in the spring 2024. I am on one of the 1st sailings there in June 2024 on the Seashore in YC with my daughter. I was actually surprised to read this. Poster claims they were given the info from YC staff. Can this be true?

Absolutely not. I do not share ever what I do as it's no one business. I know Royal will never adopt the autogratuities included because they have a good system going now.

We definitely are in the just add the grats to the cruisefare camp and end the debate. BUT you will have the usual people boasting how they carry cash and tip every person a la Jimmy Conway in Goodfellas regardless of auto grats added. So this will never end because people have this mindset they have to pay the salaries of the poor sad ice cream girl, the dishwasher and the guy who wipes the handrails and the rest of us shouldn't dare to cruise because we are cheap. But it does make for good reading.

One can only hope! Tip shamers vs cheapskates. Always good to read and comment to stir the pot. 😄
