  1. You have better luck with laundry than me. It was spotty earlier this month in a Neptune. After 48 hours I called the concierge to inquire. They hadn’t started it yet. A day and a half was pretty typical. Never 12 or even 24 hours.

  3. Also where I first saw them Now, on your iPhone, you can set it up if you type DW it types my wife. You can set up DS to type my dear sister. It definitely isn’t anything I feel compelled to do….I’ll just type the husband if I want to mention him. But, it’s there for the folks who want it.
  4. I submitted stock request today and had a reply inside an hour it had been applied for a cruise next summer. So quick and easy.

  6. I have made so many reservations over the last weeks NOT through HAL which I’d wanted to do. Air, hotels….. They didn’t get any of it because the website wouldn’t work.
  7. I found my own answer. you can fill out a form to give X dolllard additional to the tip pool. You can not just give extra to the teams if folks of your choosing. I just got more cash from an ATM to give extra to the 6 i intended.
  8. This sent me to the Chase car rental rules thinking Iceland might be a country excluded from their coverage but it is not. My card will provide rental protection.
  9. We are arriving in the opposite direction. Our cruise ends there. Our plan is to rent a car and tour for 3 days before flying home from KEF. From the port is the only option getting to the airport to rent a car? Can they be rented at the port?
  10. My agent after a half hour plus said there is a number listed you can call…..it was her number. If they are using the same screens we are they out to say upfront that they are currently unable to book anything and once the website if fixed they will call us back or put a notice on the website tgat it is functional again.
  11. Makes me feel better about the slightly higher prices I paid to book directly with airline. The HAL website is seriously deficient with FlightEase being even more infuriating. On rare occasions that the FlightEase pages loaded I’d input everything and then get a message that it couldn’t be booked. Every. Single. Time.
  12. I actually got the website to load this afternoon but after putting everything in, no luck. the agent earlier tried to give me a number to call that showed on her screen. But it was the number I had called.
  13. So the website won’t work. I called. Agent was not very versed in travel, actually. She kept trying to book for the wrong day. Wouldn’t listen to my preferences for class of airline. Finally she gets to the flight I’d told her we wanted. Go through everything. Names ready to go. All set. The computer there won’t work either. Can’t book. Forty minutes on the phone and nothing.
  14. It’s awful. It is rivaling the incompetence of the Marriott Vacation Club website.
  15. we got off the ship, walked across the parking lot to Dunkin Donuts and got a Lyft. The ride to the airport was super fast. the lines to get into the HAL buses was unreal
  16. I will never understand while all lines except Disney put the upper berth over the main bed. On DCL it is over the sofa bed so they look like bunk beds and there is a heavy curtain you can pull between the bed and the bunks
  17. I was just on Zuiderdam in a Neptune so we used the priority line in MDR. It was great. There was never anyone in line and they helped us immediately. next trip is. NS on a pinnacle class ship. If I want to eat in MDR and not CO, there is no special line, correct? I saw photos of the CO soace and it honestly looked like a diner. I hope they were old photos. (On NS)
  18. If we book with flightease, does the cost get added to the total for mariner status, the $300 = 1 night thing. and can we pick seats at the time we book or not until final payment? That alone might be a deal breaker for me
  19. This is what I have gotten. Every day for a week. I want to price airfare. Very frustrating. I don’t recall seeing hotels listed. Do they only get offered if I use their air? I would have priced their pre cruise hotels this trip if I had found the offerings.
  20. There was one cool must type of shower with scents. The others were just showers. The tile loungers look out windows. The thermal pool has shades that keep the main pool and people headed to elevators from looking in. One day it was too hot to use. Next day they had been repaired.
  21. On the ships with a Club Orange restaurant I am guessing Neptunes/CO lose the priority line in MDR? is the menu the same both places?
  22. Can all travel agencies process gift cards for payment? (I pay the agency but the charge is from HAL) im not sure it’s worth the risk. If we did cancel the trip I know it would go back on the gift card
