  1. Yes but would be a silly thing to do if taken ill or have an accident or taken ill abroad or onboard.
  2. If I haven't got parking in luding in cruise fare I always book with Parking4Cruises. For my 25 my cruise in October CPs want over £240 and P4C which do virtually the same but you drop car off in short stay car park are £130.
  3. There were chess sets and other games in cupboards by book shelf in Anderson's in September on Arvia don't know if still there.
  4. Worrying thing is Sun Princess have cancelled maiden cruise due to delayed delivery from Fincantieri. Hope this doesn't have an impact on QA.
  5. So why Steven Gerrard especially has he doesn't live in UK at the moment and what has the connection of Liverpool to do with QA. I am sure Cunard could do far better than any overrated and overpaid footballer.
  6. Sture Myrmell left Carnival Corporation and was replaced by Paul Ludlow in and was announced in May 2023.
  7. I did say that I have downloaded the App.
  8. Even though downloaded the Stockperks App in advance of paying my balance for cruise in April did not have to use it. My TA automatically contacted P&O and they added OBC without contacting Stockperks.
  9. President of Carnival UK is Paul Ludlow.
  10. So as already been said the terminals are not fit for purpose for the ships they serve. That says a lot about P&O incompetent senior managers who have the large ships.
  11. We have done 3-4 cruises on QV/QE in November/December in recent years and had lovely UK summer weather in Madeira and Canaries and had plenty of opportunity to sit on our balconies into the early evening in the sun.
  12. I have never said it gives anyone the right to arrive earlier than there stated time. Just think it is poor practice to send old, disabled or people in wheelchairs away or make them stand in a queue in all weathers when there is a purpose built terminal with hundreds of empty chairs.. Surely common sense would allow people with stated difficulties to sit inside until their nominated times on their boarding passes. .
  13. That is what Princess want you to think but having used Medallion many times and think the reality is totally different.
  14. Very true we were once in a bar on Princess that was holding a private party for Elite members of the Captains Circle Club. The waiter came over to a couple at the next table and told them what was happening and asked them politely to leave. He came to us and said no problem Mr ******* I know you are Elite members. We had never seen the waiter before so he got all my details from the Medallion in my pocket. Big Brother is certainly watching especially on a Princess cruise and it is not to my liking.
  15. Yes much better to arrive on time and "breeze" through as no doubt you arrive by car and have that option. But like all my posts not everyone is fortunate to be able to arrive and "breeze" through check-in. They have lot more issues if using public transport and have no control of arrival time and don't think P&O are considerate for those in that situation.
  16. I get the impression on here that many have the attitude"I am alright jack" with there so easy nip drop your luggage off nip back into town and kill 2-3 hrs or go IKEA. Sorry but not easy to kill 2-3 hrs if you are old, disabled or in a wheelchair. IKEA is a long walk for people who have difficulties and many have attitude nip here nip there park here when isn't feasible for some. I just hope one day they don't become disabled or in a wheelchair they might suddenly have a different opinion. Sorry but many on here have a very selfish attitude and I hope they never have to be in situation of needing a wheelchair or have to push loved one in it or become disable or infirm and struggle to walk distances.
  17. You might get assistance at the terminal but if you arrive by train and old, inform or in a wheelchair 2-3 hrs before your boarding time you have 3 choices 1) sit in cafe on railway station with your suitcases 2) get a taxi to terminal drop luggage then taxi back to town centre because not everyone can walk that far then kill 2-3 hrs then get another taxi back to terminal for boarding time or 3) arrive early and be made to wait outside terminal in cold and possible rain. None of the above are ideal and do apply and not everyone arrives by car but those that do don't seem to care or give a thought about those that arrive by public transport.
  18. Cabins are exactly the same size whether occupied by 2 or 4.
  19. Having used Medallion App on Princess a few times and all the issues and bugs I am quiet happy with what is offered by Cunard now and hope it stays that way.
  20. We had bid accepted from P2 to Q5/6 on QV in Nov/Dec and had 72 hrs to accept and if we did the cost would be automatically added to my credit card I had used to pay my balance.
  21. We have today received email from P&O for paid upgrades for our cruise on Arvia in April and all prices quoted are per person not per stateroom.
  22. Just think what you are asking can you imagine a full 100piece orchestra on stage in the theatre. It is obviously a scaled down orchestra but is excellent and possibly the best crossing we have ever done.
  23. All very well and good but like so have said previously if you are arriving by train and old, infirm or in a wheelchair delivering your luggage and going to do something else can be very hard.
  24. We first used Princess App before COVID in 2019 and there were many issues, faults and bugs. Still doesn't seem to be totally effective so personally think it is a step too far for Cunard. With regards sitting on a sun lounger requesting a drink has never really worked. We used to lie on deck and order a drink then watch the waiter wander around ages with our drinks because it was never very accurate. Used to end up shouting or waving arms to the waiter. In its early days you couldn't use app to order 2 drinks one for yourself and one for wife even with drinks package because it automatically charged your account for second drink. So we both had to order individually on each smartphone and then the drinks would never be delivered together sometimes a long time between delivery of each drink.
  25. So you are suggesting old, disabled or those with wheelchairs if they arrive by train to sit in station cafe with all their luggage for possibly 2-3 hrs. I am sure you wouldn't be happy doing that so why should they.
