  1. What happens if you do not have a broker account and have a paper share certificate with your shares held through Equiniti.
  2. They don't allow they clearly state that you allowed to take 1 litre aboard if you take more they are not allowing it you are smuggling it onboard. If you then take drinks from your cabin and then take them to board then it says more about you.
  3. Sorry I don't go on holiday to smuggle drinks onboard and then sneak them out of the cabin and walk around the ship pretending I have bought them from a bar. Personally I would rather not go on a cruise if I had to resort to that practice.
  4. Or a late arrival due to weather conditions or medical emergency. In fact could be for many reasons so why speciale with unfounded claims of norovirus.
  5. Doesn't matter how many times my post is removed I will still leave auto gratuities in situ on my account and not tip any extra.
  6. Well aware of pricing and T&Cs for drinks packages on Cunard.
  7. Also take into account value for money when you are in port and off the ship so don't drink as much.
  8. Any drinks you bring onboard have to be consumed in your cabin and not around the ship.
  9. Problem with having buffet restaurant above your cabin is it opens early for continental breakfast and staff can be dragging trollies early to prepare breakfast. Also if you are unlucky and the cabin is below part of restaurant that is open for late snacks and you go bed early there can be noise into early hours.
  10. You will be in the minority wearing jeans even on Smart Attire evenings.
  11. Think P&O tried that a few years ago but the opposite way with Ocean Village 1&2 but didn't last long. Personally think P&O are only interested in one way and that is the big Arvia/Iona etc with younger cruiser's who are happy to spend onboard with different excursions and drinks packages. Once the Aurora/Arcadia clientele start declining or the get a knock on the door from an interested buyer they will be gone. Then P&O will only have one type of cruising that is for the megaship brigade.
  12. Yes I agree with you completely but don't forget on CC you are dealing with people who think they know it all and experts in everything.
  13. If you book that cruise with FCD which you have already purchased then you would get an extra $800 OBC.
  14. Even if it's a shrunken offer only covering drinks up to $12 that is all the drinks that we have onboard and we have to purchase. Plus don't forget the free gratuities which adds up to a considerable amount for 2 people over 14 nts. So with free gratuities that cost UK cruiser's nearly $500 and then prices of drinks and 15% service charge which you also don't pay as included in drinks package. Sorry but I still think US cruisers are treated better than UK cruiser's.
  15. They have used that excuse with me for the last 2 years onboard and with communications with executive office in UK and it's nonsense. Initially told me FCDs had been stopped for everyone and after proving it hadn't changed to differing markets and consumer law on US. They got in such a mess with differing excuses in the end just ignored me. Basically it's a case of US cruisers get better treated by Cunard than UK cruiser's. They can still purchase FCDs and also get free drinks packages and gratuities when they book a grill suite which we don't get in UK. It is there loss because I now cruise less with Cunard than in the past due to their actions.
  16. We have received one as well but don't understand it at all.
  17. We were on deck 4 aft in Q5 corner suite and the noise and vibration and would never book a suite aft again. We had other issues that ended up with us moving suites half way through the cruise.
  18. Incorrect there is a service charge of 15% service charge on all drinks not 18% or 20% so you are wrong. Was on Cunard earlier this month and was purchasing bottles of red wine in the restaurant at a price lower than has been previously stated of $34 and that included the 15% service charge. Amazed how many people have opinions of prices etc on Cunard and have never set foot on a Cunard cruise and get it completely wrong with regards to prices and % service charge.
  19. The Q2 on QV both the dining room and bath area have sea views. Wonderful suites with fantastic amount of space but if you don't spend a lot of time in your suite, like us, perhaps not worth the money. Service out of the suite is exactly the same in Q2 & Q4 so it's up to you whether you think it's worth the extra money. Personally I don't and would save my money and stay in Q4.
  20. Plenty on both Iona in March and Arvia in September.
  21. It isn't correct I can vouch for that from a cruise only 10 days ago. Unfortunately hearsay and "somebody told me" or "I have heard" is usually wrong.
  22. When did you last cruise on Cunard, or have you ever cruised on Cunard. We came off QV on 6th Dec and we were paying less than that for red wine and white wine is usually slightly cheaper. I am afraid where you get your info from is incorrect.
  23. If you look at drink prices of spirits a single measure on Cunard is larger than the standard 25ml served on P&O so if you take that into account pro rata not all drinks are ludicrously expensive. It is like comparing prices in a Wetherspoons with a general gastro pub prices and personally don't want to spend my time in an inferior Wetherspoons just to save an mount of money.
  24. Or walk with a stick or have other medical issues that might make dragging a suitcase off a shop and some distance across the air bridge to baggage hall at Southampton. You do not have to be wheelchair bound.
