Must be a ship to ship thing or some special event. I'm sailing on Anthem Easter week and have reservation for lunch at Jamie's on Easter Day, March 31 for a party of 8. In addition, got a good price of $14.99 per adult during Royal's Pasta Day promo.😊 Now if I can only get an early embarkation time as the reservations are for 12 PM.😜

After the rejection, you should have gone directly to the SR Maitre D and tried your luck. Are the Christmas and New Year's sails considered the only Holiday sailings. I've never sailed on those days and had no problem using the D+ coupon on other holidays, e.g. Easter, 4th of July, Labor Day etc.

Table for 7 was a partial booth and included 3 children. I argued with the maitre d to squeeze me in, but he was a hard a_s. 🤣

I have reservations for Chop's for a party of 6 on the 2nd night. I was planning on pre-planning and pay for my son and me for the same night and then have it adjusted for BOGO at the on-board pricing.

I believe the Op is talking about playing cards that are used and discarded for card games, e.g. Blackjack, etc. I remember years ago when we stayed/played at Bally's Las Vegas we were able to buy their used playing cards for a $1 at the Casino Cashier and there was a hole punched in the center of the deck. Now I see them sold in Casino gift shop at a premium.🤣

Some have had success, however, once on board they adjust the price of the first diner to the on-board pricing. An advantage to this process is that you have reservations of the night and time. On my August sail on Oasis, there was a party of 7 for which I had reservations for Chop's and Giovanni's however, when I tried to get myself to dine with my party and using the BOGO on the 2nd night for Chop's, I was told that they could not accommodate an 8th diner. All tables were pre-set. I did get the choice of changing the dining date to a different night other than 1 o 2. I have the same dilemma for my upcoming family Anthem Easter sail. Should I wait till I get on board to make dining arrangements and run into the same hassle or pre-reserve Chop's for 2 (me +1) in my planner and have it adjusted for BOGO.

On my December sail, I used them and they along with other shuttles/buses leave for spot numbers 11-14. Better have reservations and show up on time as if you miss your time, they may not be any room on subsequent shuttles. They are very good, as a side note on our way to the Bush Int'l, we hit a huge traffic jam and the driver being familiar with the area took some local roads and reach a different/other expressway to the airport.

11 is very 11 is very doable. Normal ship docking is around 6 AM. Assuming ship's clearing occurs at 7 and with the Facial Technology going thru Customs is a snap. Airport is approximately 20 minutes. Therefore, IMHO, you should be at the airport around 8:30-9 AM.

You think that's bad, how many times can one take in Cats on Oasis. At a minimum, Grease is a delightful and enjoyable play. Enjoyed it on Broadway and on Harmony.

Wasn't charged anything for my D+ drinks in October Oasis sail. but was charged a tax on my day beds. Nassau did increase their port taxes as of January 1, 2024

The shower on Harmony swings out. Also, the cabin, at least the CP balconies, are designed like the Anthem, at least the way the closets are placed vs the bed. The big complaint when Quantum was introduced many on this board vehemently complained about the lack of a promenade and the 4 distinct restaurants. The Quantum class has a 2 level Royal Esplanade. The 4 distinct restaurants were designed to accommodate Dynamic Dining concept, which I miss so much.

However, Odyssey does not have an indoor pool like Quantum, Anthem & Ovation.

You pay some taxes in Coco Cay. I have to pay Nassau taxes on day beach beds, somewhere around 10%. I'm sure taxes are also charged on private cabanas. However, no taxes on my D+ drinks while on the island.

I have the same feeling as it takes me 25 minutes from terminal to my house. However, the itineraries from Bayonne have become quite stale. I saw a sail out of Galveston on Harmony and with the price being right, even with the cost of the airfare. chose it. My sail was in early December. I had such a good experience that I booked a similar cruise for December, '24. The only downside to my experience was seated at a table for 10 and only 4 single males for the entire week. The only clue is that each was Prime or higher Casino rank. I usually sail solo, and this was the first time that I wasn't seated with couples or mixed genders. Last February on Anthem I was seated with 5 ladies.😜

At what point do you establish a relationship of your pin to your room number. When I transfer a $ amount to my room/cabin, initially from memory (?) the pin is your date or year of birth which matches the personal info on my Seapass.

As you evaluate the different cruise lines, ships, itineraries, etc. remember that the ships themselves are a destination unto themselves. IMO, the onboard activities are very important. For instance, on the Oasis classes, (my favorite) I truly enjoy the Aqua and the Ice-Skating show, in addition to other entertainment venues and activities.

Prior to the Pandemic I was able to get a van/shuttle service from cruise port to Penn Station and the cost was reasonable. Any recent experience or is this service still available.

No need as they use Facial Recognition Technology to go tjru Customs. Nice an quick. Best thing since ice cream. I have Global Entry and thinking hard about ceasing on my next anniversary. However, it's helpful when I fly as it provides me with a TSA ID # for easier navigations thru Airport Security.

In my experience the next cruise desk or land based Royal agents will not get involved with Casino promos. I usually call the Casino Desk at 888.561.2234 to apply any promos.
