  1. I'm under the impression that they scanned all bags. I'm able to go thru security at Newark Int'l airport (Trusted Traveler) with my belt on, but at Royal security screening I was told to take it off and place it on conveyor to scan.🤣 I mean, I'm D+ and should be able to keep my belt on.🤣
  2. Very interesting and educational article: You Should Have a Passport on Your Cruise Sailing Even If It's a Closed Loop (fodors.com)
  3. You should have 36 nights/points and retain your parents tier status of Emerald. If you know your ships and date of sailing you can go to your account and update for any missing cruises, otherwise call the C&A desk 800.526.9723. Happy Holidays to you,🎁
  4. I went on this excursion on cruise on Harmony's December 3 sail, it was enjoyable however, lousy weather. Rained on and off all day. After lunch it began to rain again and gave up and took the boat back to the ship at around 12PM. Went to the ship's pool and an hour later it started to rain again. No luck. By the way, the same weather pattern occurred on the previous December visit to different beach area of Roatan. Here's a photo of the Harmony from the dock:
  5. I've been sailing solo since my beloved spouse passed away in '20. I've been fortunate to have dinner with couples and both single women and men. This past Harmony sail I was seated at a table for 10, but only 3 other single men showed up. Very odd as to why not a smaller table. On the 3rd evening an elderly couple were looking to seat at our table and we had an inkling that they had the wrong table. Sure enough we had table #510 and they were looking for table #610. Ps. We had excellent service and most of our meals were completed in about 1 hour. Some nights we hung around and chatted a bit. However, never interfered with the preparation for the late dining time.
  6. shareholderbenefit@rccl.com. Sent along with my broker statement and within 2 days received confirm. Also, checked the amount in the cruise planner. I was having a problem as only $100 in OBC showed. I knew that the on board booking OBC was missing and after some 15 minutes on the phone it was resolved as the agent had to clear with their resolution dept. Please be sure to include: Name of ship. Sail date and Reservation # in your e-mail.
  7. Yes, for the cruise fare but don't believe for the land tour.
  8. Can't remember his name and yes he's Canadian from the Quebec area. My cruise on December 3rd was his last on Harmony and going on his break. His wife was a former RCL employee. Overall. has good verbal skills a good sense of humor.
  9. If it's refundable you can cash it in at Guest Services.
  10. Quantum classes have studios for solos, however, earn 1 point per night. I'm a bit lucky as I have over 340 points and get the solo supplement discount on a cabin for 2 and 2X points. Some of the pricing on the recently released itineraries are out of this world. However, I found a gem in Harmony sailing from Galveston on December 8, 2024, and with the solo & balcony discount on a CP balcony for $1,288. Similar characteristic for a sail on December 7, 2025, and the fare is $3.400+. Ouch! Ps. On my recent Harmony December 3 sail, I earned $250 from the casino and applied to the December 8, '24 sail and brought the pricing down to $1,038, plus $100 OBC for booking on board and an additional $100 OBC Shareholder's Benefit.
  11. The big question is when the invoice was paid, how was it allocated to the trio. Usually, when booked via RCL the invoice shows a cost per person. Assuming the cabin was occupied by the trio.
  12. Not sure that is the case. It's part of the streamlining process that accompanied the new menus in which no substitutes or special requests allowed. The last time I was successful in getting the bites was my sail on Anthem in February '23.
  13. When I disembarked Harmony on the 10th it was blustery and, in the low 50's. It was warmer back home in NJ.🤣 I thought the disembarkation process in Bayonne was weird, but Galveston was even weirder. Did self-assistance and was ready at the Promenade around 7AM. The line was already long, and staff kept telling everyone to sit down and not stand around. Most ignored the instructions. At around the 7:30 mark there was movement. We proceeded to an exit and onto the running/walking track on deck 5. Walked a bit and went thru another entrance to the 5th deck. MDR. Exited the MDR onto the opposite deck 5 track side. After another couple hundred feet we finally escaped the ship. Afterwards everything was very smooth until I got hit in the face with the cold wind. Caught Galveston Express shuttle to Bush Int'l. Shuttle was excellent and priced reasonably. Had a driver who was very knowledgeable of the many ways to get to the airport as we encountered heavy traffic about halfway to the airport and he took a few side roads and finally got on another roadway/expressway (610?). Going thru TSA was a bit of a hassle. One of my carry-ons was pulled aside and had to wait for an officer to re-scan the bag, supposedly initially, the Xray machine could not scan the contents properly. Finally made it to an Oasis in the airport-- the United Airlines Lounge.
  14. As an aside, a couple of weeks ago, I was doing a mock booking on an 8 nite Oasis sail. This past week I get an e-mail with an announcement of a $1,200+ price drop on that sail. All excited I go thru the exercise of calculating my fare and the damn price is the same. Yesterday, I got another e-mail and this time a price drop of $1,300+-guess what, no movement in pricing. Bottom line--FUBAR price drop announcements.
  15. Wonder if the champagne is from the Casino. On my last few cruises, I got 2 bottles of white wine per my selection and a bottle of champagne, but no card associated with it. On my recent Harmony sail, got my customary wine, but alas no champagne.🤣
  16. My reference was to your quote that the D+ individual would have loved the lunch with Officers, etc. Wanted confirmation that this benefit accrues to those D+ C & A members with 340+ nights. Ps. Must be your computer as my print size is the same as yours as I'm reading both your response and my posting.🤣
  17. Isn't lunch with Officers for those with 340+ nights.
  18. Florida and Gulf Coast ports schedules are out already. The tentative schedule is below:
  19. I was on Harmony December 3 sail and got individual invites to the top tier, lunch with Officers and any other events. They were easily spotted as my cabin was clean when I entered.🤣 However, on my August Oasis sail, all events invites were done via phone messages.🤣
  20. Does it show where the Comedy show is being held. On my recent Harmony sail it was held in the Attic which is the same as Blaze on Oasis. Also, the Comedy show was held in the Theatre on the last night on both Oasis and Harmony. It was restricted to 18+ years and don't believe reserves were required.
