Since almost every single amateur person goes to Antarctica now - their summer - I think this would be a good (not perfect but good) guideline.
What time of year is the Drake Passage the calmest?
summer
While there is no such thing as the best month to cross Drake Passage, we were crossing the passage during the Antarctic summer (from October to February) when the Antarctic weather helps create calmer seas.

As far as I can tell, the first page of this attachment is the wines by the glass menu which is for Simply More and all other by the glass options...without some kind of upgrade. Works just fine for us but I understand that we're not oenophiles.

I may be misunderstanding here but we have what I think would be called "multi segment" and because of Simply More I've booked excursions on both segments.
That's too funny! Cole slaw??? Oh my. So no chili, slaw dog for you. Sadness. Oysters? Oh my. We're in oyster heaven. You know, don't you, that they're an aphrodisiac? But only the first 11 work 🙂
Here's a virtual hugs from the Left Coast 🙂 Keep up the good work. And you do understand, don't you, that you have NO obligation to give private info on any site.
I 100% play it by ear. An anecdote. A few years ago on a cruise there was a man at the next outdoor table in a tee shirt that mentioned a particular medical conference. He had seemed pretty friendly so I asked him he'd been to that conference. I no longer remember the details but he replied and we found we had a quasi-medical subject in common. It was pleasant. But I'm really careful with that.
And to whomever mentioned doctors and lawyers I totally agree. I had a physician years ago who said is he's at a social gathering where people know his profession and is asked for a medical opinion, he says it will be necessary for us to step into the next room and for you to remove your clothes....
That always get rave reviews but I pretty actively don't like watermelon. Should I stay away? We actually never ate at Reg Ginger cause we're not really "Asian fusion" food fans. But everyone seems to love it so much.
I have asked "what kind of business were you in" if I feel like the person might be okay with that. Notice, I didn't say "what did you do for a living?"
To Antarctica??? We went there on a small ship a few years ago. It was incredible. It was part of a land trip that included Argentinian and Chilean. Began in BA and ended in Santiago, Chilean. Trip of a lifetime.
