  1. Oh, of course. We'll never cruise enough, on any line, for that to happen 🙂
  2. You mean like on the floor in front of the check in counter?
  3. Of all the words that come to my mind here, "direct" sure isn't one of them. BTW I've traveled to six continents and have never had to resort to such.
  4. Can I assume that you remove the hat when you're seated at the table?
  5. My thoughts. Some of my doctor appointments are 'video.
  6. Right. And you can't 'drive' a ship to the Grand Canyon 🙂
  7. Oh, she hasn't had MINE 🙂 But really I'd rather have mac n cheese than cake 🙂
  8. Oh, I have my weaknesses. For sure. But I'm more into savory than sweet. I.e., I've have seared foie gras at least twice on our two O cruises. Mmmmm.
  9. Sounds like me! And a "taste" of cake would be for politeness only.
  10. No, no. Speaking about those in general who throw that out. Sorry if I wasn't clear.
  11. And you can buy a non-alcoholic drink and/or give a big tip up front.
  12. THIS! I'd love to know a single "culture" that has this type of behavior as acceptable.
  13. When people try the justification I just want to slap them. At least tell the truth.
  14. That's us 100%. We're also port focused. To each our own.
  15. I'm actually getting a real kick out of this. I loathe sun and heat. One time on a breezy afternoon, I sat on a lounger and read for maybe an hour. We used to have an apt. in Rio, two blocks from Copacabana Beach' we finally stopped even taking bathing suits because we never went onto the sand. We would sit on the sidewalk and have food and drinks 🙂
  16. I know. And I do feel guilty. Every time I step on a plane or rarely a ship. We were in a waiting room the other day and they had multiple copies of our local newspaper, something I haven't had in MANY years. I miss it but even one thing helps.
  17. I don't either. There are so many healthy choices it makes it easier. IMO.
  18. Thanks for that. One of the things that I zeroed in on is the lack of 'diversity' with the food. We did two Hurtigruten cruises (Antarctica and Norwegian Coast). We got lots of local foods. And the Antarctica one would do dinners that featured previous explorers of the Antarctic.
