  1. Thanks for that link. I may look at this place the next time I sail out of Port Everglades. Looks like a lot of good restaurants are nearby!
  2. I could be wrong but I think Avalon is part of the Globus family.
  3. Back in 2018 I sailed out of Venice and the hotel was the Bauer Palazzo. I don't know if they are still using it but that is what SS used for my sailing. It is lovely, right on the Canal and near St Marks Square. It was the first time I had ever sailed from Venice before. Really, really nice property🙂
  4. Melody, did you have surgery today? Or is it Monday? Let us know how you are doing please..........
  5. Nope.......that 40 minutes will not cut it....they need to change your flight.
  6. Good morning, there is not 1 answer to your question. Some people like the 17th Street area which has hotels and restaurants with some shops as well. Other people (I am in this group) stay on Las Olas Blvd......there is a specific hotel there that I stay at call The Riverside and there are lots of shops and restaurants along the Blvd. Some folks prefer to stay beachside. Is this your first time sailing or staying out of Ft. Lauderdale? There are lots of threads on here about the area. As for Sawgrass Mills? That is very west of the port..Yes, there are lots of stores and it is a big mall but it is not what I consider "close by". You could not walk there, that is for sure. Uber, Taxi, Limo, some kind of transportation is definitely needed to get there. It is probably between a 20-30 minute car ride from the hotels that are near the port.
  7. Hi Bob, glad you had a good cruise🙂
  8. Hi Melody...oh my goodness.......having your toe amputated? I had no clue you were having such an issue! I hope it all goes well and will be thinking of you🙂
  9. Good morning, I tried the lemon this morning and Melody, you are correct, it is delicious🙂.....it actually reminded me of the lemon when I find the perfect lemon meringue pie. (Not the meringue part LOL) but the lemon.......really smooth and not too tangy but definitely a good flavor. I used 1/2 the container and put fresh blueberries on top and mixed them in..........really good🙂
  10. It looks like Target carries this brand too. There is one very close to me so I will look there! I suppose you are right about using 1/2 the amount from that larger tub. I am just used to eating "single serving" sizes. I want to try that lemon🙂
  11. I see the ones called "LIL TUBS"..........that is the size of the peach I bought. I didn't see a 4 pack at my particular Publix.........I will look around for it.
  12. Melody, I put some blueberries in my peach yogurt too.......tasted really good🙂. I wish the lemon was in a smaller size......it was in the bigger container so that is why I didn't get that one. Here is a link to their website: https://noosayoghurt.com/product/lemon/ It shows the lemon has 37 grams of sugar in it.......YIKES!!!!!!!!!! And 39 grams of carbs!!!
  13. Good morning, Sharon, always good to see you.🙂 Got my flights home so good to go and hopefully it will stay that way. Melody, I bought a Noosa yogurt yesterday. There were a few choices, the lemon you were talking about? I was reading the ingredients and it has ALOT of sugar and carbs in it. Many more than what I normally buy. They did have another size (smaller) with much less sugar and carbs so I gave that one a try. It was peach and I had it this morning and I must say, it was delicious. So depending on which flavor, I would buy this brand again. My heart goes out to all those folks in Turkey and Syria......what a horrific event☹️
  14. Hi Randy, I was wondering the same thing because I was on board the Dawn at 1:30 last month as well.
  15. Hi, oh....we will be on different sailings. I am doing the crossing in November. You will have to let me know all about your cruise🙂 Tell Char hi from me too!
  16. Hey.Stranger😀 which sailing are ya'll on? Would be great to cruise together again.
