  1. My sis and bil recently ate at the Boathouse and LOVED it🙂. Ironically, I have stayed at the Riverside at least 1/2 dozen times and have never eaten there........maybe I will give it a try next time I sail out of Ft. Lauderdale.
  2. Thanks🙂we have both Whole Foods and Walgreens.......I wonder if Whole Foods has their ice cream.
  3. Sorry you found the food so bad and quite surprised the menu did not change in Atlantide. Normally, the back pages never change anyway but the front one's do. Did you ask your waiter and/or the Maitir'd about it? And am also surprised you could not get a chicken dish? Since you have so many days with SS, I am sure you know you could ask for something not on the menu. But anyway, sounds like you have made your decision about not sailing with SS anymore. Wishing you smooth sailing on whichever cruise line you choose.
  4. Hi, never heard of Green & Black's. Are they an English Company?
  5. Popsicles? I LOVED Creamsicles as a kid😀
  6. Hi, there are A LOT of choices so it really depends on what you feel like eating. I am posting a link to the Blvd and you can click on the "EAT" link and see what they offer😀 https://lasolasboulevard.com/
  7. Hi girls, well, today I had to do urine and blood work for the volunteer work......get this, they had 2 nurses and neither one could find a vein so I have to go back on Thursday and they are going to have a tech from the Hospital facility itself take my blood. I know I have had issues with small veins over the years but usually they can find one. These 2 gals must have tried for nearly 30 minutes😧.......oh well. So Thursday morning I will give it another try. At least my urine came back clean😀....but if it hadn't? There would have been a problem with the test, and not me. It is basically a drug test.......and can you believe this, the results came back while I was there!. I always thought they send them out but the nurse said for this thing, they can check it quickly. Sorry so many of you are having tree issues!
  8. HI, yes, you are correct. My Med sailings have all been 10 or more nights.
  9. Well, don't shoot the messenger if they make you wait though🙂. I can only give you information from my sailings. I don't know know if Southampton will be that early or not.
  10. Hi, Alaska for sure has formal optional nights. As for the Med? Never seen a formal optional on them and I have multiple cruises to that area. They always have formal nights. (well, on all the cruises I have taken).
  11. I was on Spirit out of Athens last month.....we were allowed to board much earlier than 2pm. It may depend on the port but on my last 2-3 sailings I was on board before that 2pm time. That embarkation process paragraph has been in place since the re-start happened in June 2021. Not sure if they are ever going to update it or not.
  12. You are not alone. If I can be in the "last group" off? I would do it every time too.
  13. Too many to name them all......I love lots of different ice creams. Even good ole Neapolitan. But love pistachio too. Chocolate Chip and Mint Chocolate chip. Rocky Road and yes, peanut butter/chocolate. Someone mentioned Butter Pecan? That was my Mom's favorite. But I must admit Ben and Jerry's CHERRY GARCIA has been at the top of my list for a few years now😀
  14. I have sailed both itineraries. Alaska has the "formal optional" nights. The New England itinerary has the regular formal nights( if that is what you are referring to).
  15. This journey you shared with us has been wonderful and the photos all outstanding. Thank you for taking us along😀. Safe travels home.
  16. Hi, everyone has their own way of doing this. I prefer to always have Euros with me. Just easier than having to find a bank/atm, etc. I travel solo it is the last thing I want to think about so I just bring them and I usually have some left from previous trips. To the OP, you asked if "most places take US $?"...no, they don't. Think of it this way, if someone was coming to the US, I don't think any retailers would accept foreign currency so I would not think countries in Europe would take it either. The only place I have visited that take US $ is Turkey......they accept all forms of currency. Euros, US $ and of course their own, Turkish Lira. But the other countries I have visited do not take US $.
  17. Nope. I had never even heard of it until recently but I can say, in 12 cruises the only duck I have seen is on the menu. I would say most people wouldn't even know what hiding them is referring to or why you would hide one. (I still don't get it to be honest).
  18. Hi, I know Rico was on board recently as a friend of mine sailed Muse around Japan and he was the CD.
