  1. I looked 😁 and for a moment thought that Loeki had only one eye, but then realised that they were co-habiting. Could be worse anyone remember Clarence the cross eyed lion? For a moment I thought that the 'cancel culture' may have removed all mention of Clarence.
  2. OBC is always in US Dollars as it it the ship board currency. Even in Euro zone our OBC is shown in US Dollars.
  3. It is for bookings made within 90 days of your previous cruise. There is a different promo code for Euro currency bookings - it is VPQ 😉
  4. I would think they are just quoting the price in case one is 'accidentally removed' 😉 from the stateroom.
  5. If planning for self explore, then do join the roll call for your cruise, as you will likely find others who wish to self explore. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/52-holland-america-roll-calls/

  8. With apologies for the delay, but here is the latest update to the Dry Docks, Charters & Groups information. There has been some activity since the July update, so check your dates! There are a few gaps in sailing schedules so I have included most of them as 'Possible Charter' or 'No Itineray Published' until more information can be found. For any errors, I apologise in advance! As usual, if you can provide any information on upcoming Dry Docks, Charters or Groups, then please post to this thread and I will update the information in the next file. 9. @ski ww I apologise for giving an opening for the thread drift. Just use a credit card and if using cash, then examine your change! 😉
  10. There will be no problems with taxis at Barcelona port. Moll Adossat will have taxis lined up at the entance/exit of the terminal building.
  11. True, however there is still a resistance to UK stores accepting Manx, Scottish or N. Irish notes, which is the relevant information.
  12. Although the currency is Pounds Sterling, the IoM issues its own notes (as does Scotland and N.Ireland). these notes are not well received in the other parts of the UK. Bank of England notes are accepted all over.
  13. For clarity, it is the pier at World Trade Centre/Eurostars hotel that will not receive cruise ships in the future, Moll Adosat, which is currently used byu HAL and most other lines, will continue to be used.
  14. This would seem to be pretty self expanatory. Staff were insisting on opened bottles being put into the bins. Amsterdam cruise terminal September 2023.
  15. I just don't see the point of it. When on a ship, the only place a duck should be, is on my plate, preferrably with some orange sauce, but crispy roast from Tamarind is an adequate substitute 😉
  16. poker chips are part of the circular economy.....you get them, then you give them back!
  17. Sorry that you will miss Belfast (my birthplace), but IoM is a nice substitute. It will probably be a tender port. You will be able to use the horse drawn trams, take the electric railway to Laxey and view the largest surviving working waterwheel. Then take the railway up to the summit of Snaefell for great views to N. Ireland and Scotland (cloud level permitting!). What date in August? There could be a lot of biker activity as the Manx Grand Prix is running August 18th to 26th using the famous T.T. Mountain circuit made up of 37.7 miles of public roads which are closed to normal traffic during practice and race times. https://manxnationalheritage.im/ https://manxelectricrailway.co.uk/ https://www.visitisleofman.com/experience/snaefell-mountain-railway-p1292361
  18. Are they biodegradable? or made from plastic? Why create more unneccessary waste?
  19. AFAIK the shuttle buses were provided by the port authority and not the cruise lines. They were not free. They ran from the individual terminals at Mol Adosat (the cruise terminal for larger cruise ships) back and forwards to the Portal de la Pau (at the base of the Columbus Column which is at the end of Las Ramblas and close to the WTC pier.) Even several years ago people were dragging their luggage across the bridge. The shuttle bus trip is about 10 minutes and fares in 2023 were $3 single/€4.50 return.
  20. try staxi.nl we have used them several times for different journeys and all have been good. You can get an online quote on the website.
