Turning 4 star and nobody is interested in it
VMax1700 replied to JanDom's topic in Holland America Line
Medallion recognition is different to and independant of, star recognition. Medallions are awareded based on actual sailing days whereas stars are awarded based on sailing days + suite bonus (if booked) and spending/HIA. But I know that you knew that 😉 Recently Pins were always on the bed after evening turndown or in the stateroom mailbox. -
except the Irish! 🤣

How to update individual Android apps automatically Open the Google Play Store app . At the top right, tap the profile icon. Tap Manage apps & device. Tap Manage, then find the app you want to update automatically. To open the app's "Details" page, tap the app. On the app's "Details" page, tap More . Turn on Enable auto update. When updates are available, the app updates automatically. To turn off automatic updates, turn off Enable auto update. Your device should then update, when it is charging, not being used, and connected to wifi.

$16 x 14 x 2 = $448 I seem to remember it was $10 per day per person to upgrade from regular to elite, but now it is usually more practical just to pay the difference in price between the charged price and the $11 per drink allowance (+18% grat on the difference).

Welcome back Jacqui! Where do you get the energy from? Is there a secret source? You are only home and already updating the Future Cruise List. Amazing! So, please put us down for Oosterdam May 14 -24 2025, 10 day Western Med Medley with Malta overnight. Our 50th Wedding Anniversary cruise. Thanks! Colin

When is your cruise? I have used staxi.nl several times in Amsterdam and found them reliable. There is the advantage that you have a firm quoted price for the journey. If you take a taxi then you are subject to the vagaries of taximeters and navigation systems 😉 When we disembarked there were quite a few taxis waiting for a customer.

I asked this question of two beverage servers on Rotterdam earlier this month and the answer was that they personally received the tips if their name was on the receipt as the server. I am not sure how it would work in Speciality restaurants unless the wait person also got drinks and the receipt could be signed. I don't recollect anything having to be signed for the meal itself, nor was a receipt offered for signature for the drinks.

I am wondering if HAL used an incorrect exchange rate for the pre paid rate for UK cruisers. If they used the euro/dollar rate instead of sterling/dollar rate and then the amount tp be credited to the onboard account would be incorrect and on a 10 day cruise would (according to my rough calculations) be the equivalent of $15.50 approx.

I know you asked about 'larger verandah cabins' but the largest verandahs are 4152 and 4154

https://www.schiphol.nl/en/page/timeslots/ Just as a data point, we took a ship shuttle from ship to airport, which departed at 10.00 am (on a Saturday) and we had checked luggage (already checked in), cleared security and passport control and arrived to the KLM lounge by 12.15pm. We had a long walk from the shuttle drop point to the KLM luggage drop and then went to the wrong security line (my fault, habit) and DW is a slow walker. However there were lines at bag drop, security and passport control. A 1.30 flight would give me no worries, as I would just leave earlier than we did.
