I honestly don’t know why. I’ve been on her and we genuinely loved it. Yes the ship is huge. But, with all the neighborhoods spread out, I felt like the crowds and lines were really manageable. There was always something to do, and we had a blast!
A friend of mine just went through this. Short answer is no. I mean, it’s possible you booked with a fully refundable rate but I doubt it. Most of them aren’t. Carnival did offer him future cruise credit for the amount of his deposit though.
We had the bump out balcony 14410 on the MG in January. We really liked it for the extra space and the larger bathroom. It for sure has its perks when traveling with more than 2 in a room.
My biggest Ick is the steward asking what service you prefer but not honoring it. And honestly, we were in a suite and pay quite a bit more for gratuities and I just don’t think it’s that much to ask. If you’re not going to honor it, don’t ask.
What company offered this rate? It seems reasonable to me. I was just quoted over $200..
I’m looking for transportation from the Double Tree Houston Hobby to the carnival cruise terminal on 6/8/24 for 4 people. I’d love a private SUV but I’d also do a shared shuttle.
I would choose the journeys cruise. Those are unique itineraries and you can do Alaska another year. But no guarantee of that journeys cruise in the future.
My friend and I plus my kids are going on a cruise together in June 2024. We would like to stay at a hotel near Houston Hobby since there’s where we’re going to be flying in and the next morning we will probably just use the cruise line’s shuttle to the terminal. Is there a good hotel close by with things to do? Maybe walking distance to anything fun or a nice restaurant? A pool would be nice. There’s just so many to chose from I thought I’d ask on here to see if there’s any stand outs.
I can’t remember from our cruise recently. But, how late is the kids club open for free and at what time of night does it switch to night owls for a charge? Does it depend on age? My children will be 6 on our next cruise.
It’s nice to hear a review from someone on the “other side”. I’ve always considered trying other lines but I like carnival and am scared I won’t like the other lines as much.
