  1. I thought you got a free bottle of wine at the steak house on embarkation night. Apparently a lot has changed in the 4 years since we cruised.
  2. I'm with those who don't like the mega ships. The Dream and Vista class is about as big as I prefer. I do hope they keep up the smaller, older ships because I think there is still a market out there. A poster once posted about one of the mega ships and forgetting they were on a ship. I don't want to forget I'm on a ship.
  3. We haven't cruise since right before the shut down. If I remember, Red Frog had a fish bowl for a discounted price at embarkation and the casino bar used to have happy hours. Are there any happy hours at any of the bars now? We'll being sailing on the Magic in May.
  4. It's supposed to get down to 19° tonight and 16° tomorrow in Atlanta. You might want to stay a few more days in Miami. Should be in the low 60s later in the week.
  5. Is that a biscuit? It sure doesn't look like the biscuits we're used to here in N Ga.
  6. Just found your post, so I'm playing catch up. I live on the lake that eats people! So funny and a little true.
  7. I have found a couple more on subsequent cruises. I may actually buy some ducks and hide them on this up comng cruise since my grandkids will be with us.
  8. I don't even book cruises with stops to Jamaica and Nassau.
  9. There are a couple of ports where we stay on the ship also. Obviously the drink package isn't for everyone. I know you don't have to drink 15 drinks to break even. The 15 drink is a limit and not a goal. But more power to you and cheers.
  10. I still don't see how Cheers pays for itself when you have a port heavy cruise. I can easily see how the drinks can add up on sea days. Also, I don't consider myself a light weight, but I can only drink so much day after day. Toast to those that can! I can totally see myself take advantage of the coffee though.
  11. I have had an inrease in $ in virtually every service I have this past year. Things are tough all over.
  12. A few years back on the Valor, our steward never introduced himself and he never spoke to us. In fact, we weren't sure which steward was ours. Our room was always tended to. He came in and out like a ninja.
  13. I had two 20 months apart. I was determined not to have two in diapers. My almost 2 year old had other plans.
  14. She'll also be getting her new paint job.
  15. I never really liked them because I always felt it was undercooked cake. I might try them again if they are cooked more thoroughly.
  16. I don't particularly like them, but the hubs likes them. He never finishes one because he says its so rich he can't finish it. I've heard other people say the same thing. I see it as Carnival trying to cut down on waste. If one isn't enough, order two as others have stated.
  17. Good start. I'm looking forward to your review. We also used to sail 1 or twice a year before the shut down. We are going on our first cruise since 2019 this coming May. I can't wait to get back on a ship.
  18. I found my first duck behind our tv in our cabin. This was probably 2018. I didn't know the game so I just left it there.
  19. I've been to Nassau 4 times, 3 times too many. I've been to Freeport once. One and done. However, I'll go back to Half Moon Cay over and over.
  20. Ha! this happened to my husband but it was a necklace.
  21. Great review. I haven't been on the Spirit, but the Legend is one of my favorite ships. Like you, I like the flow of the ship.
  22. I don't like that we have to go ask for our gift. Gifts should be given. It's a small thing, but damn. 🙃
