  1. Just wondering if anyone knows if you can send faxes from the ship.

We have a house on the market and are wondering if we get an offer while we're on our 9-day cruise if it's possible to send a fax so we can accept the offer. Any other ideas?

    Sandy,

Ask at the Guest Services Desk, I am sure there is a way to do it.

  2. When you get about a month away from your cruise send an e mail to: AccessDesk@ncl.com

They will notify the ship of your need. They will require that you give them or Stateroom and some other information. When you go aboard ask to speak to either or both the Food and Beverage Director and the Restaurant Manager. They are very good about trying to meet the dietary needs of passengers.

I have to do this with every cruise for another dietary issue and have very few problems.

  3. If that is the only time frame you have the cruise will be expensive and crowded no matter one the newer bigger ships or one of the small ones. Lots of families do holiday cruises with several generations.

The Epic, The Breakaway and The Getaway all have water slides and rope courses that you sons would enjoy.

All of the ships will be decorated for Christmas.

I am going to be on The Getaway over Christmas and can not wait.

  4. I went back on found the article: Asia Cruise News dated 18 March, 2015

" Norwegian Cruise Line is considering to deploy its newbuilding to China in 2018. 'We have four newbuildings, and we are developing the skunkworks internally to evaluate China, we'll make a decision in the next few months on whether we go or not,' said NCL Chief Executive Frank Del Rio."

It will be interesting to see what develops. I do not know if She would be too big for the New Panama Canal that is supposed to be wider and deeper, if it is ever finished. Through the Canal or around The Horn either would be a great trip. Start saving your pennies.

  5. Based on an interview with an Asia news organization the other day that Mr. Del Rio gave, it sounded like one of the newer ships would be going into the Asian, Australian markets. He said they were exploring those markets.

The Gem is going to be sailing out of San Juan for a short period of time and then returning to NYC. The Breakaway was built for the NYC market, The Getaway and The Escape for the Miami market.

  6. I agree with you. People seem to think that "staff will pick after them".

Have you noticed lately, when staff eats in the buffet, they pick up their dirty dishes and silverware and put them in the proper bus tubs?

  7. YES, Norwegian reads social media and responses. Yesterday Norwegian posted on CC about The Star's upcoming Transatlantic Crossing since Her Panama Cruise had been canceled.

I would very little faith in a PCC who works in Call Center who knows where: India, Panama, Arizona, Milton-Freewater, Oregon. They are only as good as the information they are given which good be very old or they are not very well trained.

  8. Thanks guys! Nice to know that we don't really need to book so we can just decide if we fancy it on the day. Hmmm I'm fine with the cold but my partner hates it- this might take some persuasion!

No need to warm about being cold, you are provided with hooded parkas that slip over your head.

  9. By saying "I", I am assuming that you travel as a single passenger. Norwegian has 4 ships at the moment (another coming in October) that have cabins meant for one person and are price for ONE person. On The Epic, The Breakaway, The Getaway and soon the Escape, there a lounge in the solo cabin area to meet and make dinner arrangements, drinks, excursions with other solo passengers.

I have stayed in the solo cabins and love it. I did not think I would but I do.
