It is for former Queens Residents .They have a section with books about Queens,Pictures of Schools,a board where you can look for “lost” friends and other interesting things. One of my cousins who grew up in Forest Hills posted on there many years.

She was not a staff member.She was a patient.

I had an interesting day today.I had Ambulatory surgery .We found parking right by the entrance to the facility.That was great.We went inside and everything went well. We left only to find that a car was illegally parked and blocking our car.Toby left me in the car,went inside to speak to security.Two people came outside ,wrote down the license plate number ,went inside and made an announcement that the car had to be moved or it would be towed.The owner was in surgery.We decided to wait for her to be finished rather than the car being towed.An hour later the woman came to the car.She went inside and was on her cell phone. Toby went to her car and asked if she would move her car .Fifteen minutes later she moved the car and exited the parking lot in the wrong direction on a one way street.

I have been to the Bronx Zoo,Prospect Park Zoo but most of all the Staten Island Zoo.I was just on the phone with a guy that I know since 1959.We lost touch in 1962 and reconnected in 1980.We both were living in Brooklyn and both had two daughters .I used to drive to his house with my daughters,leave my car on his block and we would go in his car to the SI Zoo.

It is a small group,10 people .It helps in the sense that we have people dealing with the same problems and we can discuss it.I was feeling pretty good today.The past few days ,not that good.Thanks for your concern. I hope Sarah is doing okay. Lenny

Sorry that you need to have the surgery.Hopefully the exercise will help. I just finished my Parkinson’s Support Group meeting .The topic today was exercise and how beneficial it is for every medical ailment.

I never lost my Brooklyn accent.Whenever people meet me for the first time they know I am from NY.If they ever lived in NYC they can tell that I lived in Brooklyn.The classic story about a Brooklyn accent is my friend Ira who lived in a small town in Georgia for 50 years.He taught English in a HS with his Brooklyn accent.

Wow.My friends grew up in NYC ,went to college in Texas ,married native Texans and spent the rest of their lives there.They lived in Seabrook till 2009 and moved to North Arlington .I only visited them when they lived near Houston .I met many of their friends and neighbors and cannot recall any saying y’all.Very strange.

If my granddog is correct I may try to pick lotto numbers with his assistance.

In my opinion the best car service in NYC for going to cruise ports and or airports is Allstate ,located in Manhattan.

We cruised many times from Manhattan to the Caribbean ,always in the winter.

Another vote for Nassau. In the 70’s the President of the company where I worked had a home in Nassau.He frequently told the employees how beautiful Nassau was.I finally got to cruise there in 2013 and was very disappointed.
