I was referring to a person who is in the terminal who will take your luggage to your vehicle .That person to me was a Porter and not a Longshoreman.I gave him $10 because I was partially disabled at the time and was unable to carry luggage.My wife was able to take her luggage but we let him take both. The guys at the pier who take your luggage at boarding time are usually Longshoremen but at times they are members of other unions.I do not believe that luggage can be otherwise transported .I always gave them $5 a bag because I had the belief that giving them a gratuity would enable my luggage to arrive on board timely.

Are you implying that a person who is a member of a union cannot accept a tip ? I was a union member from 1969 to 1971 and received tips.

I went to a school reunion in 2006 from LaGuardia to Houston Texas.We were a group of 38.Somehow the President of the schools Alumni Association was able to get a reduced rate for each person .

Yes,however the guy I encountered at the Bayonne Cruiseport was not a Longshoreman .Of that I am positive.

Many years ago I wanted to get in touch with people that I knew in Elementary School and write a book about them. My wife said nobody beside me would be interested (I am a published Author).I abandoned the idea.Several years later a reporter for the New York Times wrote a best seller titled The Class of 1950.He tracked down students who graduated with him from his Junior High School.I bought the book even though I did not go to his school nor graduate in that year.

I was not inquiring for myself.I was listening to a radio show about unusual places for reunions. I have been to 6 school reunions ,that is enough fit me.

I went to schools in NYC only but went to two school reunions in Houston,Texas. We wanted to do something different and they were great. A neighbor of mine also went to schools in NYC and one of his HS reunions was in California.

Phillies Rangers I would root for the Rangers.I have a niece who went to Medical School in Philadelphia and became a Phillies fan but she and her husband are still NY Rangers fans.

My son in law ,the NY Rangers fan was at the game last Thursday night . In order for the Texas Rangers to win Scherzer will have to pitch like he did when he was a great pitcher.His post season ERA is 11.25 .

No ,I guess I can tell you because nobody who will read this knows my name whereas on a cruise everyone introduces themselves . I spent 6 years as a Health Insurance Frauds Investigator and many of those who I cited lost their licenses to practice.Two went to jail but not solely because of my investigation .There were several investigatory groups involved.

My cousin may have been there then.He never made it as a musician .He went into corporate real estate in Manhattan.
