Entertainment is not the same as it was years ago.When I started to cruise 50 plus years ago entertainers were A list . In 1994 I was on a cruise and saw a group The Three Tenors .They were great.In 2019 one of the 3 was singing in a restaurant in my area. I had the opportunity to speak to him and he said that cruise ships were no longer booking elite entertainers.They preferred to showcase their staff.

We have been on 6 cruise lines .Celebrity is our favorite.

Tonight is Survivor and Amazing Race

When I was healthy I worked out at a gym as often as possible and I was really strong .In the nine years that I have had Parkinson’s my body had gotten very weak.I am gradually regaining my strength thanks to the therapy.

I found out today that my Therapist and her husband recently started cruising .I told he about all the places we have cruised to and also about CC and the nice people I have “met”.

I am wearing a Curaçao tee shirt today .It is sunny and close to 70,not exactly October weather.

Are we the only ones to have received a free upgrade without requesting a cabin change ?In 2008 we booked an OV on an HAL ship. We were upgraded to a balcony without requesting a cabin change.This never happed before or after .

One of my daughters lives in Delaware County,NY😀 On my cruise in 2019 on the Anthem we met a couple from Delaware and had dinner with them several times.

Yes,it is.Today we were outside for a short walk.She said I am so much stronger than when we began.

I had 16 in home PT sessions that really did not help.The last time I had OT was in 2019 after a fractured wrist.This OT Therapist specializes in Parkinsons .Unfortunately I am now at Stage 4 so the OT is really helping me.In addition to her skills as a Therapist she is a very nice person .

She is the best Therapist I ever worked with .I have only had 7 sessions with her and I am doing so much better.Prior to the start I was unable to elevate my right leg at all.Now I can about 4 inches which does not seem like a lot but it truly is.She has increased my arm strength too.

Oldest-Grandeur Newest-Anthem Favorite-Grandeur-we were on it four Decembers in a row and booked the exact same OV cabin.The crew was great.I am disabled and they were wonderful .

A long time friend of mine was born in Aruba and told me many,many years ago how beautiful the island was.The first time I was there was 2010 and I was enjoying it so much that I did not want to go back on the ship.

I was reading your long post.My wife and I and then with our kids vacationed every summer in Lake George and made side trips to surrounding areas.We were at the Painted Pony Dude Ranch in 1974 I believe. We have relatives in Fairfax County,Va. On a cruise in 2015 on the Grandeur we were having a conversation with a woman and during the course of same she mentioned. that she worked at a school.We said that one of our relatives worked at that school.It turned out that our niece was her onetime baby sitter. On ever cruise that we have been on we have met at least one person that we shared something in common with.
