Robertson pie shop reviews have been sliding. Not impressed recently. Hayden’s Pies still good. Definitely stop there when going down the coast. Mogo pie shop just south of Batemans Bay also worth trying.

My sister and BIL have just returned from a driving holiday in NZ. Both got Covid. They were able to get antivirals free in Dunedin and isolated there. Thought they may have picked it up on a local cruise to the sounds. -

Checked out some reviews on Bob Woods Tour groups. All reviews were excellent and the company is regularly used by cruise companies. -

Latest news on Aussie firefighters going to Canada. The Australian and New Zealand firefighting personnel have been briefed and are now deploying to fires across Alberta, Canada. The #NSWRFS incident management team is currently based at the Alberta Wildfire Martin Fire Base and has integrated with Canadian and American personnel. Our team will bolster this international incident management team, allowing the Canadians to get some much needed rest over the coming weeks. 🇦🇺🇨🇦 -

Here in Greenwell Point we have copped it again. Lucky I live on a high spot but I can’t gat out because of local roads flooding. Good that I am well stocked and don’t need anything. Plenty of food and wine. -

Insurance question please.

Price for Noordam Christmas and New Year cruise 16 days. Cheapest balcony. I know I could have found a cheaper cruise if not over the holiday period but that is the time I wanted to be away. My pre-existing are for multiple heart complaints and one unsolved coma period. They don’t like that. Age 74. -

Got a quote from Covermore today. Aged 74 and with pre-existing health problems. This was for a 16 day cruise to NZ. Quote $1548. Yes and there are excess payments for Covid claims. Now I just have to decide if I really want to cruise as a single. Cheapest solo price for a verandah $7500. -
Circumnavigation Australia 2024
dillpickle48 replied to anjo's topic in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Agree with Aus Traveller, October is definitely the best time for a circumnavigation. Done it a couple of times. Even then heat and humidity can still be high up north but better than summer cruising.
