  1. Well, thanks to all who responded about being able to use the coupons for drink other than the Aperol spritzer , which I find very boring. I have a collection of these cards now mainly for the aforementioned boringness.. We never buy the HIA but we do buy the Cellar wine packages for dinner...now will have a little more variety !
  2. Advance purchase at 20% off on my upcoming voyage: PACKAGES Premium Internet Plan - 32-41 Days $395.99 per person Multi Device Premium Internet - 32-41 Day $651.99
  3. Kudos and thank you for standing up and moving forward for the sake of all passengers, present and future. Hopefully all will be resolved within coprorate and that these dogs and their owners will not meet on any HAL ship again. vacations should not be marred by such issues. Again, thank you. Joan
  4. The dogs should have been in the Brig the entire cruise...shame on this people for bringing fake aka "service" dogs on board.(major assumption, I know) Safe travels home, @Haljo1935. I have really enjoyed this voyage with you!
  5. In my experience is can take up to 2 weeks for a very recent cruise to show up in your account.
  6. A nice refresh before the Amazon cruise would be delightful!
  7. Are you aware that your statement for every cruise you have taken, including most recent is available on the HAL website and the navigator app? Mine currently go all the way back to 2015. For what its worth, always best to "make a purchase, check your statement -repeat " . We were once charged twice for laundry...extra charge was immediate on the statement. Go to guest services asap and they removed it. Timing is everything.
  8. I am super happy they finally moved you and glad you spoke to the hotel manager. I dont think we would have had the patience you displayed. I loved your "live reports". Enjoy your last evening!
  9. I agree. The time and exact nature of the charge might be of relevance here.
  10. Personally, I would eat the $11 and lesson learned..check your account on the app or stateroom tv every day on board for any errors or overcharges.
  11. @Haljo1935 wait.. I thought you had an inside cabin.. that looks like Window.. did I miss something? I agree, cabin steward shoul have taken the tray. have loved your narratives… but did you get feedback regard the d-o-g-s????
  12. I have not tried the app yet but I can say that I emailed my most recent request as per previous procedure and I received an email approval last night. Happy camper here.
  13. I just reviewed the transfer form that @highland cruiser attached. It appears that you can only do the transfer before final payment. That eliminates my need as I would be within final payment date on the particular cruise I am looking at. Thank you all for your helpful responses!
  14. Thanks, Mary. Yes, we have this in place as well..my question is regarding booking directly online or with a PCC. My regular TA is not available at this time.
  15. Thanks you for attaching the form.
  16. If I did this with a PCC vs online booking is that what would happen as well?
  17. If you go to deckplans dot com you can see room configurations on all ships. That said, all HAL veranda cabins I have occupied have the bed in close proximity to the loo.
  18. If one books directly with HAL can the booking be transferred to a TA after this? It can when booking on board but wondering if anyone has been able to do the same when not on board. Thanks,
  19. We have only had good experiences with waitlisting. Once we request to be on a waitlist we get an email notification if opening come up. . We have 72 hours to purchase or not. We have purchased several times this way. Always seamless..I guess we have been lucky. You can always remove yourself from a waitlist if desired. If I have chosen and paid for another tour that same day I just cancel it and have always received a credit back. I had one time been waitlisted for 2 different excursions on the same day. easy to cancel the other.
  20. Yes, you can pre-purchase wifi, even with a guarantee. Go into your booking and click on "Packages", you will see a list of categories and "internet packages" is one of the categories. Enjoy your cruise. Hope you love HAL as much as we do!
  21. Sadly, anyone can get a "service dog certificate" online. True service dogs wont bark like that. People now call them "comfort" dogs. I would go straight to the hotel manager if that continues. Our last cruise, a "service dog" (very doubtful) peed on the promenade deck. Grrr Enjoying your report so far. Have a wonderful cruise.
  22. @vplsh We booked Banks for next September for 3 nights. We never pre-pay a hotel, especially non-refundable. We called and spoke to someone at Banks as their website only gave the non refundable rates, and we booked the flexible rate over the phone. Honestly, the difference wasn't that much in comparison to other hotels' flexible rates and they offer so much more than the other hotels at the same rates. Joan
  23. Wow, just wow! Have a wonderful cruise(s). Bon Voyage!
  24. @Haljo1935 Our Hawaii cruise was the first time as well. Pearl Harbor was the highlight and I feel an absolute must see. The key to our voyage was flexibility. Our first stop, Kauai , was only a few hours in duration because there was an airlift med evacuation enroute and we had to divert course a bit. Then Maui was eliminated due to high seas, causing a second full day in Hilo...which was fine, but not unexpectedly on the rainy side. Volcanos NP was our choice with a rental car with lunch in the park restaurant overlooking Haleakala. Kona is easy peasy on your own and there are some nice sidewalk restaurants . The ship was great, loved the music walk. They had the best music , rock band was fabulous and BBking blues band fab as well. I will be interested in how you like the inside cabin. My hubby would take an inside in a heartbeat but I cant do it...yet..who knows, maybe sometime I will give it a try. Maybe you will be my inspiration!.
