My daughter tested positive last week. She should test negative by our cruise on June 6th, but if she is still testing positive with no symptoms, we can use a certificate of recovery from a doctors visit.

Did you get a letter from your doctor or had to use the telehealth place that charges 60.00? If the later, can you recommend them.

Keep in mind, you cannot pay Royal to test you once you are on the ship for travelling home. What I am planning on doing is bringing at home kits and test my self 2 days before departure, if positive, notify Royal for them to test me again. Then on the last day do a proctored test to fly back to the US. If you wait until the last day, they may not test you, hence not paying for quarentine when you get tested to go back to usa.

I jsut used this. I bought the tests,2 for myself and husband. You buy them in the cart and then they email you for a scheduled time. You have to put each persons name one at a time. They email you a link to schedule. Hours are from 8am to 12pm est.

We would just normally split up in the security line so no questions. My daughter and her bf went and they were in 2 different rooms so they were allowed 4 bottles, they went through together and was stopped and told they would have to leave their extra 2 bottles. Port people would not listen to them saying they were in 2 different rooms, until a supervisor came over and looked at the set sail passes. So they do check.

Just Off The Mariner Sunday
irishgal432 replied to GTO-Girl's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Thanks, I was infected in Feb so I am thinking Omicrom but with the new variant it may not be enough. My husband got it right after coming home from a cruise, and I got it a month later, so I think 2 different exposures. -

Are you saying the 4th person was not boosted who got covid? Deciding if I should get the next round of booster shot. Maybeif you were all boosted it gave you that little extra protection. -
If you test positive before embarking?

I contacted my travel agent who then asked for the proof of a negative test as Royal was asking for it. -

Yet another covid test question (or two)

When answering the questions for walgreens, say no to the question about travelling. This should pull up locations with the red dot option. -
Review Quantum Star Class 5/4 Alaska RCI First Timer
irishgal432 replied to mrspeck's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Having that soot is not acceptable in my book. An Alaskan cruise is all about the scenery. Being able to utilize the deck is essential. We sail in a few weeks in an aft room. Thanks for the heads up. I will ask for a few hazmat suits so our clothes dont get black from the soot. lol We have Hailey as well. -

RCI European Sailing Protocols
irishgal432 replied to little britain's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Can you use the proctored emed test that royal sells in europe? With summer travel expected to peak I would think airport testing will be crazy. -
We are thinking of doing a yearly plan me 58 and husband 60. We have health insurance that will cover us internationally, but am looking for cancellation in case of illness, missed flights or if we are on a trip and something happens to a family member back home. I notice when pricing it out that it limits cancellation to 5000 per year not per trip, so if you use it then you would not be eligble again for that year..

Anyone seeing any Covid counts on RC ships?
irishgal432 replied to Jingerwoppy's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Hope you feel better! Since you were off the ship I am assuming you are on your own for the 5-10 days. Is that something travel insurance will cover? Almost makes you want to report symptoms on board even if you are asymptomatic so Royal would cover those expenses. -

We are headed shortly, what is the last part you are referring to. I have it loaded, all of our informaiton, just waiting for the 72 hour mark to finish filling in the app. Am I missing something after I put the info in at 72 hours? -
How to book the Sky Pad on the Odyssey of the Seas?
irishgal432 replied to Pkrplyraa's topic in Royal Caribbean International
You can only book for port days for free, sea days are extended and are 29.00. -
I stay on at some ports, but there are also activites in Coco Cay. They have a very large shaded bar area that has live music. Just even taking the tram around the island to look at the fauna is very nice. The food is a little different as well. I would get off just to go the the Beach Shack resturant for funnel cakes and chicken sandwiches!

Wow, last time we were in the Royal Suite we got a bottle of house champagne and moldy fruit. They upped the game a bit.
