  1. From reading recent "Live From" posts on Carnival Cruises (and Princess) they are already having these ticketed game shows there. The two lines seem to be getting more similar as time goes on.................. ~Nancy
  2. Here's a couple pictures so people can decide if the less deep veranda on deck 10 is significant for them. Thanks halfacts.com contributors! NA 10034 Veranda from Halfacts.com Nine floor planks deep. NA cabin 7013 Veranda also from Halfacts.com Thirteen floor planks deep.
  3. What??? No Cherry Garcia? I want my money back!! 😁 Glad you told us about this. I love Cherry Garcia and that's the only reason I have ordered that version of Baked Alaska. Next time I'll be sure to ask about this before ordering. Your reporting has done me a great service! 😉 ~Nancy
  4. @cccole would a French Press work for you? ~Nancy
  5. I am looking forward to seeing renderings of the cabins and interior spaces! ~Nancy
  6. Have a great trip @Roland4! I would love to read along with anything you feel inspired to post. On Crystal I have spent the most time on Symphony and like the Starlight Club situated midship! Thank you, ~Nancy
  7. @Ready2go11 I'm enjoying your detailed and balanced reports! Thanks to @FLCruiser97 for adding your experiences as well. I would have ordered the fruit with Sabayon myself, but you are right.... that's no proper Sabayon they gave you! Ackkk, it does look like raw egg yolks!! Reminds me of the time on Rotterdam that I think they tried to make homemade sour cream for the quesadillas. It turned out like curdled milk! 😲 ~Nancy
  8. @Susanmaz But can't you order coffee from room service 24hours a day by just calling?
  9. I'm with you on still calling it the Crow's Nest! Dumb name that "Explorations Central"!!!! 🙄 ~Nancy
  10. But to use the Navigator App and see your account on the TV does not require purchasing WiFi at all. It's on the ship's Intranet. It's separate so your friend can still use all the Navigator functions. ~Nancy
  11. Thank you for the reports and I'm happy to hear that you had an enjoyable cruise! ~Nancy
  12. If I see a fake "service" dog on my cruise I will raise holy hell with HAL. Period. ~Nancy
  13. I was thinking about the Eclipse cruises this morning and wondered if you had clear skys. I'm thrilled to hear that the viewing was great for everyone! I'll be sure to look for this special "Corner" in the Lido on my May cruise. I would love to try some of these dishes. ~Nancy
  14. Hello back from the East Bay! 👋 It looks like you are off to a great start on this Panama Canal cruise and meeting some interesting people! I'll be checking back to see what you get up to along the way. How is the live music in the evenings? ~Nancy
  15. There was not a shuttle when I was there in October 2022. I would call the hotel and ask for current info. Actually, the taxi from the hotel to Port Everglades was about $20 which I think is reasonable. I've read here that Uber/Taxi from the FLL airport is about $20 also. I'll be at the Riverside a month from now! It's a nice change from the chain hotels. ~Nancy
  16. Water from the tap in your cabin and in the restaurants is fine to drink and there is no extra cost. I've been drinking ship water for 42 years! ~Nancy
  17. Miami is a huge city! It will help us give suggestions if you tell us where you are staying. What is your budget for food? What kind of restaurants are you interested in trying? McDonalds or a Michelin Star restaurant? ~Nancy
  18. How did the solo meet up go? I cruise solo most of the time, and sometimes on HAL. I love solo travel! I don't go to the solo meet ups either, as I'm not really into organized groups so it's just not my "thing". I do love meeting people though, solo or otherwise, all over the ship, in the bars, lido, by the pools etc. 🙂 The Panama Canal trip is so great, and I'll be watching to see whatever you decide to post. It looks like you may see the eclipse tomorrow! Thanks for posting! ~Nancy
  19. @Ready2go11 I'm interested to know this too. It seems to me that moving it at noon would be the best for crew. What do you think? For me, I don't really care and just will go with the flow of whichever it is on Zuiderdam next month. 🙂 I've very happy to hear of the improved service so far and the added classical music performances! ~Nancy
  20. Another hearty Bon Voyage to you @richwmn for the next leg of this voyage! I'll continue to read along daily. Thank you! ~Nancy
  21. I will be on the Zuiderdam transatlantic with @mawvkysc leaving Ft. Lauderdale right after the World Cruise ends on May 11th. I was wondering about probable delays due to the huge turnover of luggage, staff changes and restocking of provisions. I imagine we will have the same exact issues that you are having on the Oosterdam so will pack some extra patience for the first day or two. Thank you so much for reporting on your experiences on the way to Spain! So much more fun than flying! ~Nancy
  22. @JinxyB If you haven't already, also check out the "Ports of Call - Pacific Islands - All" forum linked below. Pacific Islands, All Cruises Q&A: Find Tips & Recommendations - Cruise Critic Message Board Forums Have a wonderful trip! ~Nancy
  23. Most of my friends love audio books and podcasts, but I don't. I've been an avid reader since I learned how to read but cannot bear to be read to! I don't know why, but my good friends and family know to never try to read me an article or anything. If I can see the speaker like in a TED talk that's fine for some reason. 🤷‍♀️ Why is HAL even getting involved in something like this? Fix the entertainment, IT and food offerings before spending resources on this. Bottom line, no HAL Audible for me! ~Nancy
