  1. Hawaiian shirts are now dressy, gala, formal😂😂😂
  2. Was it a discussion among Doctors and nurses or cruise critic members pretending to be doctors?
  3. This reads very strange, “Certain Age” what about passengers who might have asthma, obesity, or underlying conditions Woild they need a doctors letter as well?
  4. Just curious- What can HAL do to cut down on medical evacuations?
  5. Update- The Zuiderdam is now in the shipyard. It’s 80 degrees and the crew is scraping barnacles, painting the bottom and chipping and painting steel while constantly smelling acetone. They claim it’s tough work, but at least we are finally free of “That Guy”
  6. I have never had good Internet on 20 plus cruises. Nowadays people expect to work and zoom and have 5 Star internet. Good luck with that one
  7. Besides what you mentioned they have the t- pool which you lay on a rack with warm churning water massaging you. Then they have heated tile loungers with floor to ceiling windows to watch for whatever till you fall asleep
  8. There has to be sone drama queen sleeping down in the atrium with a bucket
  9. And I thought Thurston Howell was just a TV character
  10. Seems like every cruise, I see these signs, but still see “That Guy” running for his life on the promenade deck. We’ve got to stop making “This Guy”
  11. That’s only used at guest services to receive something for their bucket list port that was missed yawn
  12. Trust me the crew wants to get everyone off the ship and have a little peace
  13. We went this summer with Iquana Mama. We hired the kid who follows you around all day and takes pictures of you, then hands you the chip at the end of the excursion. You can preview the chip before you leave the premises. I thought it was a great service and we left our phones in the locked van and didn’t have to worry about them getting wet or beat up. It was a fantastic day😀
  14. They used to have a live piano player every night at dinner. Then it was an automatic piano that plays itself then that was gone. They used to have a couple of members of the house band at the pool for a couple of hours a day, or a steel drum player. This has all disappeared. We started cruising in 2000
  15. The ship burns 350 gallons every 190 yards. So it burns more fuel when it’s moving than when it’s tied to a dock
  16. We’ve simply given up folks. We wear pajamas to the grocery store, bathrobes to the Lido. We wear socks and slides to a job interview. Just slip into some crocs and a tracksuit and head to the dining room on formal night
  17. I think you should fly home at the next port
  18. Ugghh- how to ruin a balcony experience. We went on Nieuw Amsterdam in March we only had 900 aboard. If it makes you feel any better I saw a Princess post on Facebook that there were 1,000 kids aboard one of the ships today.
