Radiance OTS experts need help re Owner's Suite
Beachin2 replied to kath00's topic in Royal Caribbean International
All of the Radiance OS are under the pool deck. However, on an Alaska cruise it is unlikely that there will be huge parties in the wee hours since it will, in all likelihood, be fairly cold. That said I think 1064 is located very close to underneath the front of the Dog-House, which is only open limited hours. Will let you know in about 2 months! -
I once went to guest services looking to break a larger bill into small money for cash tips. Officer at the counter said she couldn't do it - had no small bills. Picked up a dozen or so of her business cards from the counter and told her I was going to hand them out to crew and tell them why they weren't getting a cash tip and suggest they talk to her. Funny how quick my bill got changed.

Can remember in the "old" days when D+ were still allowed in the CL - on a Radiance class TA a P told me that there wasn't enough room for me in the "P" lounge (was actually the CL) and that I had to leave immediately and go to the D overflow lounge. Showed him we were in the Owner's Suite and asked him who did he think would be made to leave first if no room? Never heard a word from him again. They are out there!

You will still need to pay for the 3rd person in your scenario. It may be less expensive to cancel & eat the deposit and rebook for the 2. Price it out both ways.

A 22 day charter would seem unlikely. Possible, but unlikely.

Royal Caribbean air to Sea program

Find the flight you want then call them. -
I would wager that both RC & X use the same contractor to manage the bid program. Something here doesn't make sense.

Thought this might have been a good idea for this board. The one on Celebrity has been running for 5 years and has over 1,500 posts. Granted, some are questions - but the majority is good basic information for trends in winning a bid.

Deluxe Beverage Package - "Senior Savings"
Beachin2 replied to surgie's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Saved us $82.60 bottom line. Also are D+, but we prefer better brands of liquor so use the coupons for specialty coffees, etc. -
Any interest in starting a sticky thread tracking Royal Up success, failures & amounts similar to the Celebrity Move Up Tracker?

What would you pay to dine in Blu if it were a specialty restaurant?
Beachin2 replied to LB_NJ's topic in Celebrity Cruises
For us, the primary advantage to Blu is to avoid the chaos often found in the MDR. We have had some outstanding meals there and some just OK - but never a bad one and never went hungry. The more civilized atmosphere of the smaller venue keeps us coming back. How much is that worth? Up to each to decide. -
May not be able to go on cruise….do I just lose it?

Hire a reputable in-house dog sitter? Your vet might have a recommendation. -
Denied Boarding at Port, with PITIFUL Compensation
Beachin2 replied to SG65CB's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Apparently, the only way to get RC to do the right thing these days is to create a social media s**t storm. Guess I'm old, I remember when RC was somewhat of an ethical company. -
We don't drink exotic blended or "umbrella" drinks, so our favorite bar on this class ship has always been the Ensemble Lounge. Usually book AQ, so it's close to Blu as well as the specialty restaurants. Has always had a fun bar staff.

Free enterprise - supply and demand.

We usually get to the port about 10. Generally escorted straight to and through security then up to the terminal lounge for final check in, then escorted on board. Quick & easy process. Butlers will handle the wheelchair.

Always amazes me that they have the technology to take the money immediately - but takes a week+ to get it back.

I Lost Ten Pounds on a Transatlantic
Beachin2 replied to Ride-The-Waves's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I can empathize with the OP. We are also not wild @ RC's transition to mostly "Coney Island of the Seas". We are high point D+, never book the cheap rooms and have moved on for the most part to both Celebrity & MSC (Yacht Club only).
