  1. The unvaccinated sea pass card could easily be coded to disallow checking off the ship. They do it with minors, couldn’t be difficult
  2. No problem, the boss does it every cruise.
  3. Take a cab to the Red Hook ferry terminal, their website has rates and schedules.
  4. What is unclear about Royal’s guidance? Be Vaccinated, take a test if your cruise is 6 days or longer (based on the same destination parameters as NCL)
  5. Me too! I use eleven $2 bills, a Kennedy half dollar, and 3 dimes because the staff likes the novelty of it.
  6. Yes, you will get a receipt with cost of drink, 18% gratuity, and a blank line for additional gratuity for you to sign.
  7. Royal did away with the wine packages several years ago, unfortunately. We took advantage of it often.
  8. I don’t tip 20% for a drink at a land based establishment. My gratuity $1-$2 on the ship for my D+ drinks mirrors what I would do at my local watering hole.
  9. I think double points have gone the way of the upgrade fairy.
  10. It is all theoretical, no one knows how the system works, it is purposely kept a mystery
  11. You can order anything you want from the bar at breakfast.
  12. Of course no one has ever received bad information from Royal Caribbean customer service or an email. The official policy published on the website and confirmed by several services within the industry is “12 and over require vaccination”. This is as of today; tomorrow may be different
  13. Royals guidelines say 12 and over need a vaccine to sail. Everyone needs a test 3 days prior to embarkation on trips 6 days or longer Trips 5 days or shorter require no tests for vaccinated individuals. All guidelines at the discretion of destination protocols. seems pretty clear to me
  14. That's what i thought, I found the post about Oasis class confusing
  15. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/the-healthy-sail-center?icid=hlthys_wrnssn_hlt_nbrdxp_pghdr_3467 Right here, along with the updated testing protocols, it clearly states that all guests age 12 and over must be vaccinated for North American embarkations. Had vaccination protocols changed, it would have been posted here along side the new testing procedures. There are reports on CC from a prominent travel agent member having this information confirmed by Royal Caribbean. I am sure things will continue to evolve; Royal has eluded to another announcement the week of August 14, but we will all just have to wait and see.
