  1. The problem is with the carnival app it has to be open in order to get messages. So you'd have to rely on your daughter to always have the app open and check it every once in a while. Lets just say it didnt work with my husband and I since he never remembered to have the app on nor check to see if he had messages ( I think I would trust a pre-teen more than a 60 year old man though)
  2. Not to make you grab more Xanax..( r maybe it will make you feel better) but in my experience the express luggage is useless. I honestly dont believe they look at the "priority" tags. We have had luggage come quickly , and sometimes take forever, sometimes one suitcase comes and hours later the other..
  3. There are probably lots of good ones but we always end up at Lety's . It is a ways down the beach though. Great food ( coconut shrimp yummmm) and drinks. They are happy to get you lounge chairs and umbrellas to hang all day ( as long as you order drinks or food) . Just a note...there are a lot of vendors walking up and down the beach trying to sell you jewelry , trinkets, etc. This bothers some people. But..just say no gracias and they will walk on by . Or better yet buy something from them! Oh also you are likely to see beach dogs and kitties hanging around. I usually end up feeding them since Im a softie
  4. It says "express luggage" but honestly I haven't noticed a difference in when we get our luggage from not having FTTF, the times we did buy it and now that we are platinum..it all seems like a crap shoot
  5. Before we turned platinum we bought it once..and that was before the price went way up. Honestly..for us not worth the price , Id rather spend on other things.
  6. I always look forward to going to the library for books/games and was surprised when Radiance didn't have one. Next time Ill know to bring my own
  7. We always just do Stone island on our own..its pretty easy. Once you get there though depending on the extent of the mobility problems it could be difficult to get on and off the water taxi and then walk down the beach..basically its a long stretch of beach with rustic style beach restaurants ..activities available if you want .We just plop down at our fav restaurant and they give us lounge chairs and umbrellas for the day ( assuming you eat/drink)
  8. I think they go next-door to the hero's bar but not sure. We had free drinks in the casino too and never really had to wait very long so wherever they get them, its pretty quick
  9. haha! Ive never done Chefs table but it sounds like it would be so much fun with only 6 people! ( assuming the other 4 weren't duds)
  10. I believe lido is the only place ( except the main dining room). I don't know if there are specific rules about eating in the library, and often its pretty empty so I don't think it would be a problem. There are occasionally "events" happening in that room and so the library is unavailable. You. may want to let him know that ahead of time
  11. We always did it ourselves which worked fine until we decided to use a PVP..now I realize how helpful they can be , especially if you have a good one. During Covid we had so many booked and cancelled and rebooked with OBC and different codes etc. it just got really complicated. It was way easier to have him navigate things .
  12. My hubby loves to swim and body surf and LOVES Stone Island. It can depend on time of year etc, but Im a chicken with ocean water and I like it there. You can usually walk a ways into the ocean before it gets deep, unlike Cabo.
  13. I agree! We always take the bus because its ( we are) cheap and its kind of an adventure. It might be different now, but I was impressed that the majority of locals were masked up..more so than you see here
  14. we got credit for our Honeymoon cruise 1984! Sent some cheesy picture of us looking way younger than we do now
  15. Yup, honeymoon 1984. He is 36 now. Ironically his middle name is Frederick
  16. This looks like it will be a fun review. And ewwwwww on the bed hairs . Somehow actual bugs would be better
  17. I never go to Ihop..but for $5 that does looks not too bad!! ( But the Uber Eats comment ? Cmon!)
  18. I believe it was for suite guests only? But they ushered us in there as platinum..made no difference really , we were still the first to be called in ( after wedding folks and suites)..maybe a bit more comfy and less crowded?
  19. I agree...we always take the city bus down to the Malecon...partly because we are cheap 😉 but also we get the feel of what it is like to live there as a local. I think for kids that would be a good experience/lesson ..not everyone gets round driving in Uber or Taxis
  20. I think they are making a come back. But, in our day we didn't buy them like that from a store! We just took our old jeans and got out a pair of scissors!
  21. It will show up on final documents which you can view/print out before you sail.
  22. I know you said its sold out, but for others...we just stayed at the Hotel Maya . They shuttled us over ( we also parked there for the week). On the way back we didnt want to wait for the shuttle so we walked back to the hotel, suitcases and all. Was pretty easy
  23. Last week ( on Radiance) our pin defaulted to my birthday ( month, year) . I seem to remember setting one in the past but I just stuck with that
